I understand the management at this nursing home isn’t the best! The staff tries hard to keep everything in order. Especially the people working in the kitchen. I’ve seen them do alot more for this place than some of the nurses. Especially Sonia Hamilton, she is an amazing chef that goes above and beyond for the company!

My dad is waiting for a long term care bed at the SCC at tendercare facility. The staff have a huge job to care for the needs of the patients and they are very kind and patient. We are very thankful for the attention and care that is being shown to our dad who can be a handful!

My 81 dad was at Tender Care for a short period of time in transition before they found him a permanent long care spot. The staff was so caring and amazing. They kept him fed and clean all the time. All the staff on the 5th floor were amazing. Bernardette was fantastic. I always felt safe going in there I love the idea of them doing Rapid tests to every person that enters the facility. The place is a little outdated but the staff make up for that.

Food is okay, which is the best thing about Tendercare. Everything is anything BUT tender. Staff is very rude to visitors, and are negligent of residents at best, or outright cruel at worst. Unfortunately, in the experience of my grandmother, it has been more of the latter. Hygiene is outright terrible as always, so it is not a surprise that over 80 residents have died here during COVID-19 (including some I know from church). In the case of my grandmother, they often do not administer her required medications on time nor as per the instructions, including those for her hyperthyroidism. This is why we are planning to take her back home.

My 98 year-old father has recently moved to a nursing home in Stouffville on April 11 after six years at Tendercare (5/F). My family and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff, and especially to the staff on the 5/F --thank you for your kind and compassionate care of my father. We are particularly grateful for your professionalism during the stressful months at the height of the pandemic. I wish to make a suggestion regarding finalizing payments. During an in-person meeting to discuss the final payment with an admin on April 8, I was notified that after paying the accommodation fee for an additional month as notice payment according to the terms of the contract, all fees will end on May 5. I was surprised to receive another invoice by mail notifying that I am required to pay an accommodation fee until May 31 via bank autopay; The remaining balance will be reimbursed in approximately two weeks time. The admin should have notified us of such arrangement on the day we discussed finalizing payments. We are fortunate to be able to manage the unforseen sum at Tendercare in addition to fees at the new nursing home, but many seniors are not. I sincerely hope Tendercare can improve on the procedure for finalizing payments and its communication with the residents and their families regarding payment procedure.

Last Monday I send my dad to tendercare nursing home, I found the people are very friendly n helpful. The place very clean n safe. I think people should forget the pass n look forward. I believe they will try to do their best to take card our love one who is stay with them. God bless all .™™

The LTC looks really depressing and the basic accommodations is 4 to a really small room. Residents are parked all over the hallways. Not a very nice environment.

Whenever you walk in there is a distinct smell of antiseptic products, which becomes nauseating after a while. The food they search looks okay. I have yet to try any but my grandma seems to like it. The staff is very friendly and fulfills all requests from family members. For example, if my mom asks the nurse to check my grandma due to a concern, they will.

The staff are ok for the most part. Not the best and not the worst. What I'm disappointed in was the room my grandmother was staying in. Not comfortable and in the summer, the room (which seemed old and in need of some tendercare itself) had no air conditioning. The staff did not look into fixing it for the entire 5 years she's been there. It operated like a fan, with small amounts of air blowing through but certainly not air conditioning. They gave her a small portable fan, which I suppose old people always feel cold and so she didn't mind, but as a visitor it's unreasonable...especially considering they charging $3400/month there. She's heading to Yee Hong shortly, and that place cost less, more modern and imo, way better.

I mean its okay service staff for seniors is slow but i mean they take care of so many ppl. Most of the staff is really nice and friendly. Place looks clean but theres still the smell. Okay events and stuff. Food looks good and has a family or home feeling to the place.
