Wonderful place for elderly. Great location with a beautiful view of the temple when driving in. Place has amazing daily activities and a salon. Place is kept up and spacious. Highly recommend for those who are able to afford it.

I am a current resident of Legacy. I have a one bedroom apartment that is very comfortable. The housekeeping is excellent, the meals are wonderful with several options if you want something different from the main menu. The staff and servers are friendly and very accommodating. The maintenance staff is excellent.

I recently moved my 85 year old mom from St. George to Salt Lake to be closer to me. After touring several independent living communities, both my mom and I chose Legacy in South Jordan. We worked with Leilani during the process. It was such a smooth transition for her (which I wasn't expecting). The entire staff at Legacy has been welcoming and very accommodating of all my mom's quirks. The other residents have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome. It's only been 4 weeks, but my mom has been thrilled with the food and all other services. It's like she's been here for years!! I highly recommend the Legacy and Leilani will go out of her way to assist you and your family with the whole process!!!

I have enjoyed living at Legacy Retirement. The center is immaculate and well maintained, and the staff members are very accommodating and warm to the residents. Legacy offers daily activities, wonderful entertainment, weekly field trips, and transportation to appointments if needed. It is located within walking distance of many community amenities, and the view of the mountains and LDS temple are breath taking! I am pleased to call Legacy Retirement Residence "home".

My parents have lived at Legacy for 2 years and we have been so impressed by the caliber of the staff and the amenities provided. Everyone we have worked with, from the wait staff and cooks in the dining room, to the housekeeping staff, to the activities director and the administration, have been personable, kind, competent and have helped create a real community. The residents care about each other, socialize and enjoy engaging and interesting activities. We have especially enjoyed the remodeled family group space in the basement where you can have parties, the guests suite where those visiting from out of town can stay, and I've eaten many good meals in the dining room. I feel good knowing my parents are not anonymous or ever disrespected. I've seen great examples of kindness and service.

The other residents have become special friends and they add a feeling of caring for others. The menu offers well balanced meals and excellent variety. I liked that it was such a positive work environment. It was like having a hundred grandmas and grandpas that i could help and hang out with and love.

Legacy Retirement is a warm, and friendly community. I have observed many happy faces, and have watched experienced staff that provide excellent services. Theres a great feeling when you enter the building. Seniors living there are content and feel secure. During the Covid-19 this year, it has been a place of safety and security and also where residents have been able to stay connected with their families. I would highly recommend Legacy for someone looking for their parents.

Definitely not the greatest place to work. Being a dishwasher was absolutely horrible, being a cook was better but still not very rewarding. The only position I would take again would be being a waiter. Talking to your co-workers and the residents was a plus, and the environment was friendly, most of the time.

Good points: This is a very clean facility. It has a lot of activities for the residents. We like the transportation in that my father can get a ride whenever he needs one if he requests it 24 hours in advance. Cons: The food is not good. Service is extremely slow and they are perpetually understaffed. There has been a smell of gas in the hall by the kitchen. One of the servers said it is from the stove. Some of the residents have bedbugs and they are trying to get rid of the problem. The showers and kitchens have ridges that make it difficult for walkers and wheelchairs to glide easily. Overall it is a not a newer building so it is having aging issues like the rest of us.

I loved working at legacy. The residents are all so sweet and nice and treat you with respect. I loved all the people I worked with as a server. All the servers are really close and we all get along. The only problem I had with working there was the manager of the kitchen. He was very rude to some servers. He picked favorites. He was really lenient with some and very strict with some. He also was very bad at communicating and made it really hard to work there but overall it was an amazing job and I had a lot of fun everyday, talking and getting to know the residents, theyre all so sweet and very funny. It was a great job and I loved working there.

Legacy of South Jordan is a beautiful building without a doubt...but what you may not know by admiring their beautiful exterior, well manicured lawns, and warm luxurious interior....the best part about this community is actually the staff. I have worked in this industry for almost 15 years, and Legacy is among the best in this business. (technically, they are competitors of mine) but I must give credit where credit is due. Legacy is very competent, fair, and they are notorious for hiring and training outstanding care staff who will exceed your expectations. They also have locations across the wasatch front. Corey Fairholm is the behind the scenes owner , operator who keeps this running top notch. However just calling into the front desk of any one of their buildings, you will be directed to the right person to get any questions answered. You can feel confident entrusting the care and well being of your loved one to any of the Legacy Assisted Living facilities in Utah. This is my un-solicited testimonial as an industry insider. I hope this helps someone in making this very difficult decision one day. I have worked for Legacy for 5+ years at three different facilities and have enjoyed every single one. The Legacy Retirement Community is really active and they do a wonderful job of providing the residents great food, fun entertainment, and a safe, secure place to live. The staff is so friendly and they really do put their residents needs first. Also, my grandparents are at one of their assisted living facilities and theyre really thriving now that they have additional care. I feel comfortable knowing theyre being taken care of and I can tell my parents feel much more more at ease too.
