My mom went into Oakmont from another place in Warren two years ago and loved it from day 1. This place has an excellent staff, stable employees, and most of all a vibrant community. The residents are friendly open and everywhere. They have excellent services for activities and trips to stores etc. I onsite screened 20 places before picking this place and it never disappointed. I would recommend this all day everyday. My mom loved this place before passing recently.

What a quality find in our search for independent living for our parent. A very well-placed, well-designed community noticeably tended to by a great team of caring people. Janet Hays offered up a personal tour and very forthcoming pertinent information in response to (of course) our many questions. The residence rooms are just right, the dining hall impressive and the residents' demeanor all around the place was of contentment and smiles. No stuffiness, no turnover of staff . . . it's everything we could have ever hoped for. A+ and all 5 stars!

I was looking for an attractive Independent senior apartment community which had a restaurant, available transportation, and activities but was not restrictive. I looked with my sisters at a number of pleasant places, but Oakmont Manor seemed the best choice for me. I moved in 10/28/2021 and it is 11/06/2021 and while I may still be in a "honeymoon period", it sure does seem very comfortable. It is older but has been remodeled beautifully. It has lovely lounges and many common use rooms for cards, games, visiting or whatever. The apartments are attractive, and most have a pleasant view, as the landscaping is well maintained and there are also some garden courts. The restaurant feels and is a restaurant with dinner and brunch (Sunday) menus. Breakfast is continental but is sit down, coffee, tea, etc., is served and then Food Carts come around and you can choose what you would like, There is always Oatmeal, but there is whole fruit and some type of fruit cup. There, can be English Muffins, Bagels, Coffee Cake, French toast strips, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc. The exact offerings vary from day to day. Dinner is menu driven with a variety of entrees and sides which vary each week. Dinner includes, your beverage, roll, 2 starters (salads, fruit, cottage cheese, etc.), a starch Potatoes, Rice, etc., and a vegetable, plus dessert. The choices vary each week. . Brunch is the only meal on Sunday but is also menu driven with a variety of selections. People ae welcome to carry food out but also, if cannot make dinner, you can request a carryout and you can pick up dinner later. There is a movie theatre with comfortable, standard, seating. A chapel/meditation room. There is a hair salon, exercise room, etc., also there are outings to sign up for, and regular trips to local stores. However, the best feature is the staff. From housekeeping, maintenance, food service, front desk, management, the people seem to actually like working here. It speaks highly for the management, that each person is able to take personal pride in what they do and has some measure of control. Also, they are friendly and helpful. This is independent living. you can bring in outside assistance, like you could in your own home, but this building is not assisted living or memory care. The residents, suit the place. It is a welcoming place. It reminds me of what a boutique apartment hotel might be like, or some say a cruise ship with apartments

I can't say enough about Luisa, Janet, Fred and Celste. They are the most accommodating staff and represent Oakmont Manor with efficiency and kindness. After visiting approximately five other places, it was clear that Oakmont Manor Senior Living was the place my sister would feel most at home. This privately owned Senior living takes great pride in their residents as evidenced by their beautiful surroundings, the amenities, the food and the recreational activities available and most importantly, the comments from residents that have been there for years. The chapel is a plus as well as the theater. It is truly a beautiful place.

Oakmont Manor is a wonderful independent living facility. The apartments are beautiful and the grounds are well kept. The staff does a great job to ensure that each resident has a positive living experience. During the pandemic the staff went above and beyond to make sure that not only were the residents safe, they remained engaged with various independent activities and treats. My wife and I moved in about 8 months ago and we are thrilled to be in such a warm and loving community. Louisa and Mary walked us through the initial move and made the transition so easy. The staff, chef (Michelle) and servers do everything possible to make our dining experiences second to none. The food is great. Janet, the Activities director brings in musicians and other types of entertainment to enhance our lives here at Oakmont as well as arranging outings, birthday parties, family days...I could go on and on...but the one that means most to me is the Bible Study group that we have in the Chapel weekly. I would encourage anyone to check out Oakmont...we love it!

From those who are clearly visible like Celeste who warmly greets you when you first enter to Luisa and Mary who are always available to respond to any questions or concerns to Janet and all the wonderful activities she orchestrates to those who work behind the scenes to make sure everything is perfect like Michelle and the Dining Room staff to Fred in maintenance and the entire housekeeping crew. EVERYONE goes above and beyond to make Oakmont not only feel like home but also feel like family for my father-in-law and all of us. Big kudos to the entire Oakmont team for all their hard work in organizing this past weekends Fall Family Fun Day. What a fantastic event. My mom has been at Oakmont almost 4 years. When I call her apartment and get no answer, I know she is somewhere socializing, participating in an activity or on the bus for an adventure. When the weather is bad, Im grateful she is able to move around inside the building. The facility is well maintained and decorated beautifully. Not only are all of her needs met, but she is afforded countless opportunities to socialize and to enjoy the numerous variety of activities that enrich her daily life. The entire staff is extremely accommodating and personable. We am most impressed by the fact that they welcome input and endeavor to create a friendly, safe, comfortable and cheerful atmosphere for all residents. The facility is excellently maintained with much attention to detail. The dining room offers restaurant quality meals that appeal to a variety of tastes with many new choices that change weekly. One of the best decision our family made was to move our parents to Oakmont Manor. Independent living with extras that our parents need. Not only is it close to family members who come in on a daily basis, its also close to the shopping, restaurants and Troy, Beaumont Hospital. They offer daily activities, meals, transportation to and from many destinations (including Doctor appointments) a laundry room on all 3 floors and the staff here are very kind and caring of all residents. We are so grateful that our Mom chose Oakmont to live at. They have great services. The meal schedule is such a plus because she doesnt have to partake in a meal every night. She loves the food. Cant say enough about the amazing staff. All of them always have a smile, kind word and willingness to help. The residents look out for each other. There are so many activities to participate in.
