I attended the annual garden party that was recently held for the residents who were permitted to invite two guests. My mom has been at Heritage Commons since April and this was her first garden party event. I was told there were about 250 people. The entire staff did a fantastic job! The food, service, music and company was exceptional. Everyone had a great time. The residents and staff are very friendly and caring. Mom adjusted easily and seems the happiest she has been in some time. She's living her life again! Thank you Heritage Commons.

Though I don't have a relative staying at HC, I have heard only great things from those who do. My Rotary Club meets there for monthly Board meetings, and from what I can see, the place is clean, the food is good, the staff is caring, and the residents are very happy there!

So much for Mom to do, different sponsored trips an entertainment with so many good friends there an the apartments are beautiful an spacious, the food an service is so wonderful an her meds are even delivered in easy to use presorted weekly planners by Nutmeg pharmacy just a over all wonderful experience !

My dad was a resident of Heritage Commons for over 5 years. At first, the transition from living in his home for over 60 years to HC was an adjustment, but Carmela and the entire staff and residents welcomed him with open arms and continued until his recent passing at the age of 100! Despite the world wide Covid wrench that turned everything upside down for over a year, he had a wonderful experience at HC-birthday celebrations, bus trips, yearly Garden Party-to name a few. I am grateful he was able to spend his last years here.

A family member developed health issues. Although still independent, he needed a higher level of care & safety. Heritage Commons provided the perfect home for him. In addition to his beautiful, well-equipped apartment (including emergency pull cords), Heritage Commons provides a delicious daily dinner, weekly cleaning including changing the bed, a convenient reserved parking spot, & lots of activities. Other meals & services are available if needed. The staff is so friendly & helpful, the move-in process went smoothly, & the other residents have been very welcoming. Best of all, we family members know that our loved one is in good hands.

Mom needed to move into a senior living facility. She still wanted to be independent but needed help with meals and housekeeping. We called Heritage Commons and were offered the opportunity to take a tour.Nancy Bruno, the marketing and sales director, spent quite a bit of time showing us around the facility (more than once.) We were impressed to see the size of the apartments, how friendly the staff was and meeting the happy residents, who Nancy greeted by name.Nancy guided us every step of the way from filling out the paperwork to moving into the apartment, keeping all stress levels to a minimum. It was a pleasurable experience which we appreciated.The staff at Heritage Commons care about their residents and keep the families up to date on any issues that can arise.We would definitely recommend Heritage Commons because of the high quality of care and compassion they provide to their residents.Sincerely, Bob and Kathy Briggs

The staff at Heritage Commons is the best of the best! I have never seen such compassionate loving care anywhere else! Clearly for every person working there this is not a job, but a feeling that comes from deep within their hearts. After my Dad died in 2009, we decided we needed to move my Mom to some kind of senior facility. I wanted to try to find someplace close to my own home here in Middletown and Heritage Commons was recommended to me. After meeting with the marketing and the management staffs, we decided to give Heritage a try. To say that we loved it ... thats an understatement. We loved the staff at Heritage as well as the residents. My Mom resided at Heritage Commons until her death in 2013. I would recommend Heritage Commons in a heart beat. The staff at Heritage Commons work very hard at helping their residents live life with dignity as well as helping the residents families with constantly changing situations. If you are looking for a place for Mom or Dad to live, you should stop in. And just a side note...I retired this past June after 35 years at a large financial institution. After a couple of months of being retired, I decided I wanted to return to work on a part time basis. I decided to stop in and visit Carmela Gagnon (the manager at Heritage) to see if there were any positions available. I was lucky enough to be offered a position in the Daytymers area. I love being back at Heritage.

My dad Earl is so grateful to be at Heritage Commons and Im so glad I could be his guest, along with my Aunt Gloria at right, at the HC annual summer garden party last night. This was the 30th one, and theyve never had rain.
