Was able to check out the facility during the wrestling event that was not only for charity but a fantastic event for the residents to watch. Shirley, the lead house keeper is WONDERFUL! This review is mostly about her. She goes above and beyond for the residents. I was waiting for a clients lunch, standing in front of a table full of managers who did not even acknowledge me, yet Shirley did when she noticed I was waiting awhile. She also came to change the bedding for my client and explained things she has had questions about. She is very personable as well, and someone I recommend looking for for answers.... The facility itself is a very beautiful place and well upkept. They definitely need more help in all areas, but overall a nice place.

The salesman Yuni is amazing. He has helped us decide to move mom in. The place is bright and welcoming and all residents are very nice. Her apartment is bigger than previously facility was and normal refrigerator and bigger safer walk in shower. Yuni is always available to help. He has gone above and beyond while my mom living there So many activities are there. Thank you yuni

Friendly atmosphere always something going on. The food is excellent. The price of the rooms are not affordable. I was told prices go up every year.. this is one place I wouldn't mind living at, there are a few others.. I was also told they came work something out as far as selling ur place etc.

In the short time that my Dad moved to Salishan the place seemed to have changed and not for the better. I noticed the food quality/healthiness, portion size and choices went down. There is a very noticeable decrease of friendliness and caring of the recent new management team. Although the rest of the staff are incredible and go out of their way for all the residents as that has not changed. I am very appreciative of the staff. To add to some dissapontment, it is also the little things that mean a lot that were taken away, including the ice cream machine that seems to be always broken and the grab and go refrigerator that is either empty or not working. I do believe this can become a wonderful place again. Hopefully the home office will care enough to make the little changes that mean so much to the residents there.

My admission experience has now turned into a bad experience. I thought I was paying for the month of March and getting the month of February free, to get my affairs in order, my husband had passed January 28 and there was a lot to do. I was told yesterday that the check I made, $4,392.35, was half for security deposit and half to be returned at leaving the facility. I was left, and my family, with the impression that I had paid for March with a small deposit. Now I am told differently. I have spoken with several residents and they tell me they never made payments for security deposit.i was also told that half will be returned at leaving the facility. I have been left with bad feelings about the company. I love my apartment and the friends I have made but in the future I will tell people to be very careful with the administration.

Although we really enjoyed our visit, the monthly rental prices were over our budget. The other problem was management was lacking. We never met the live- in manager until we were leaving the facility. Otherwise, the visit was very well handled by staff p.ersonell

I have been here for three years, through 4 management teams and this is the first team that I find very helpful. Anything I ask of them is done with a smile. I recently was hospitalized and they took the time out of their busy day to call me to check on me. If there is a problem, I tell them and it’s taken care of. I love them both for the joy they bring with their happy attitudes every day.

My Grandmother stays at Salishan, and has been there a few years, now. I am over to visit her regularly, and have found them to always be friendly and accommodating. I am able to quickly and easily find a staff member to communicate with, when necessary. When we needed temporary access to a wheelchair on short notice, they were able to help us out, even though it was very busy, in the middle of lunch service. And they did so happily. There is a shuttle that allows residents who don’t drive to get out and about (to do their own shopping or get to appointments, etc). The facilities are clean. The entire building is accessibility friendly. If she isn’t feeling up to going to the dining room, they will deliver her meals to her door for her. And they were incredibly lovely and enthusiastic when we coordinated a birthday celebration for her there. Can’t recommend them enough!

My grandmother used to live here and it was amazing the family of the resident can pay a little extra to eat amazing food with there relatives and it’s very involved unfortunately my grandmother didn’t like all the people but the staff was great

What we love about Salishan is how light, bright, modern and clean this place is. The open design is thoughtful. A movie room, Chapel, and beauty shop all convenient. Think senior apartments that foster independent living rather than traditional nursing home. My 92 year old Mother is very active. She enjoys the pool and the gym along with other activities the recreation coordinator Marianna provides. Brad Smith and other Managers care, listen and have always done what was promised. The food consistently good and the prep and serving staff hardworking and polite.

My father was diagnosed with early onset of dementia. I moved my father in February of 2019. This is a wonderful place for lonely people. The management changes from time to time, never faulted to take really great care of the residents. It was very tough to move him to assisted living after the time he spent living in Salishan. The staff is so friendly, nice and caring. If you’re looking for a nice place offering independent living all inclusive do your self a favor and tour Salishan in Spring Hill, Florida.

My mother is living at Salishan. It has been the perfect place for her. The managers Rich and Jan and Steve and Debbie are kind and have been very helpful with anything we have needed. My mother loves that her room is cleaned and sheets and towels done weekly. She enjoys exercise class, the movies, church hymn singing on Sunday, going out in the community on the bus ( the driver, Bill, is great), and meeting residents and making new friends. The extra events at Salishan are so much fun too. We are very fortunate in Spring Hill to have such a wonderful place available to us..

We were extremely satisfied with the care and concern for my Mother's well-being. The Management staff and servers went out of their way to assure us that any questions or concerns we had were addressed immediately. We appreciate Jan for convincing my Mother that this was the best facility for her peace of mind. Also special thanks to Debi and Steve for their utmost passion for serving and assisting the needs of all the Residents. Thanks also to Pedro for his diligent desire to assist. All of the Dining room servers were very polite and gracious.

My mother lived in Shalishan for three years and she loved it (we all did). Unfortunately, she needs more medical care so she had to move. Mom made a lot of friends who she still keeps in contact with. The staff are always professional, friendly & attentive. The activities are so much fun (shout out to Mariana the Activities Coordinator. She’s fantastic!), and the weekly trips are well planned and varied. They also provide transportation to health care & shopping (Bill, the driver is the best!). The place is ALWAYS emasculate! I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is to live at Salishan.

What I like about Salishan is that I don’t have to do much here because mostly everything is done for me. My apartment gets clean once a week by the housekeepers. The chef prepares three meals a day. If I need help with anything the staff is good on helping me with it. Also we have the most sweetheart Activity coordinator. Mariana knows how to keep everyone happy and going. Love her. She has become family to me. If you are looking for a place where you want to be relaxed and have fun. I recommend you to move here. The staff are awesome!

I been living here at Salishan over 3 years.The people here are very friendly and helpful. They have alot of activities to do daily. My favorite activity is beanbag baseball. I have met so many ladys here and we have become very close. Everyone here at Salishan is like family. If you are looking for a seniors place to live , I recommend you to move here.

I’ve visited Salishan, and a number of different friends of mine who’ve lived there for many years, and I am always very impressed with them every time I come and go. The dining area is beautiful and full of staff attending to the residents at lunch and dinner time. It’s reminiscent of any nice restaurant I’ve been too. The activity coordinators are bright and light hearted while being fully engaged in whatever activity I’ve happened to be there to witness. More often than not, the front office has a resident in it. Discussing what exactly I don’t know, but the door is never closed and the fact that the executive director is as accessible as anybody else in that building tells me Salishan is fully dedicated to meeting their residents needs and making them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have recommended Salishan a number of times to many of my friends and family who have found themselves in the sensitive position of needing a long term housing facility for a loved one, and will continue to do so.

Come join us for some wonderful fun. If you enjoy playing cards, we have a card club three nights a week.We have various exercise classes and i do them all. I have to keep fit with all the delicious food that is prepared for us. We have weight classes, walking, and swimming. Or if you just want to relax we have our own movie theater. Moving to Salishan was the best decision i made. I love it here.

The management team at Salishan is top notch bar none, always looking for ways to brighten up each and every day. When you watch the interaction with the residents, you would see the genuine love and caring that money can't buy. Even after a long day, you can see the staff still looking to take care of even the smallest request with a smile!
