The staff and atmosphere is warm and inviting. When we were in search of another facility for our mom, the American House Sterling Heights stood out. We are pleased and so is our mom.

My father just went in to this facility. So far, knowing my dad is with people who know and care about him is really uplifting. They had a little welcome sign, balloons, and took time to come say hello. He liked the room, which was very clean and bright. The other residents were very friendly and eager to talk.

My mother in law lived here for nearly three years. She liked it and so did my wife and I. My mother in law was a social person. She looked forward to eating in the dining room and other activities with her friends. She had a weekly hair appointment at the salon. The staff know all the residents and visiting family members too.

My mom has been there for 9 months, 8 of which have been in hospice care and bedridden. The American House staff are wonderful. We have been having some issues with the med team responding to her call button as of late. We are being told that the system is not working properly. While its awful to be waiting for more than an hour for someone to clean you up, my sisters and i are fearful that she may need more serious help and waiting over an hour is just not acceptable.

Very pretty and clean place. Not doing enough to provide for special dietary needs. Not doing enough rehabilitation after surgery to encourage independence. Not providing hospital bed. Not providing basics like shower chair, walker, bed pads, or incontinence supplies.

American House has provided a warm, friendly, and caring environment for my mother. She enjoys the entertainment provided weekly, playing Bingo; which my daughter and I enjoy playing with her on Sundays, and the service of Bonnie the hairdresser. All in all, my mother is healthier since she moved here.

This has only been the first week that my mom has been at American House. The staff has been wonderful with my mom as well as the medical team.

My mother has enjoyed her stay there. All the staff treat her very well. The only thing she complains about is that they used to have bigger breakfast and she enjoys breakfast a lot and now it's not as nice. And she'd like the soup in the lunchtime not just at night. But everybody's been very very nice and very very helpful. I would recommend this place.

I visit this facility professionally on a regular basis. I am always welcomed with smiles and prior to Covid,outstretched arms. The facility has a comfy welcoming lobby. I never feel like an outsider. That welcoming glow is even offered by the residents. That tells me they really enjoy where they are living. Good Job Staff!!
