In the beginning, my move to Brookdale Meridian Westland was overwhelming and a big change for me. Welcoming staff and residents have continuously helped me make the transition into a new life style quite enjoyable. Good meals with new friends are always fun, and there are many chances to be part of the daily activities. I love the numerous games our activity director brings to us along with frequent musical entertainment that everyone loves. There also is a wonderful library that I ventured into right away. This community has become my 'home', and I look forward to the years ahead.

My band has played there or the past 8 years and have found this community to be so fun and active that it has become one of our best places to entertain! They always have tasty treats and happy hour refreshments for the residents too. Dancing is very popular among them, and every tune we play is their favorite! We all have such fun and look forward to every eventful gig there!

Brookdale Meridian Westland has an active social calendar and amazing rotating daily menu. There is never nothing to do and the in-house salon has been such a blessing for my grandmother to feel like herself again with such wonderful assistance. Very clean, very professional, and most of all very fun!

My mom has truly found a home and community here. She is treated like family and everyone goes above and beyond to help her in so many ways. The food is also really good and they have many special celebrations and activities all through the year. The staff truly cares about the wellbeing of all the residents.

I have been living at the Brookdale Meridian Westland over a year now and just love it. It is a beautiful facility, well maintained with lovely grounds where one can take walks. The staff is welcoming, caring and attentive to our needs. There are numerous activities covering a range of interests--exercise classes, games, travel programs, book discussion groups, art classes and more. It is a wonderful place to retire and enjoy life!

The Brookdale community has been nothing short of awesome for my mother who moved in this last fall. The personal attention by the staff is amazing, they call everyone by their first name and that started the first day she was there. The dining room folks go above and beyond to make sure the residents get everything they want and even deliver to their rooms. The desk staff is wonderful and keep track of people coming and going help with any needs of the visitors and keep the doors open for those who need a little extra time. The management treats their residents as people and friends and family truly caring for them and not just housing them. I was impressed when I checked this place out last August and know for sure this is the perfect place for my mom to be at this time in her life. Being only five minutes from my house it's easy to stop and spend time with her everyday. She's now got a 100 more members of her family and that's wonderful. THANK YOU BROOKDALE MERIDIAN WESTLAND !

As a mobile Audiologist I go to many retirement centers every month visiting patients for their hearing care. Every person from the receptionist to every staff member as well as residents are always so friendly at the Brookdake Westland Meridian! It's always a pleasure to be there. I often recommend this retirement center to my patients looking for a new home, as everyone is a pleasure to be around, and all the residents seem so happy and social with one another. I so wish my own mother lived in Colorado so I could move her here, I know she'd love it!

This is the 2nd time I have chosen to live at Meridian Westland. It was an easy decision to return. The friends I have made support my daily life with their kindness, the sharing of their stories and add to the joy of the day. The staff is patient and do everything to care for us and our needs. There are 3 good meals daily with numerous choices. The activities fill daily life with fun and friends. I'm so glad I live here. Life is good.

We are so grateful for the loving care provided to my father-in-law here. The staff members are fantastic, they get to know the residents and their families and are ready to help anytime. The food is good; my father-in-law especially likes the Sunday brunch buffet! The recreation coordinator is wonderful. She finds out what interests the residents and finds activities for them that they enjoy doing. Indoors the facility is very clean and in excellent shape and they are trying to keep it updated inside. Outdoors they've added security cameras, and extra lighting; they have repaved the driveways and parking lot recently. The fencing along the walking path needs to be sanded and repainted, but that is not a true necessity.-I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to other family members or friends!

I moved in right before the COVIC lockdown so have generally only recently been able to participate in activities and dining in so am still getting acquainted. The facility is well kept and laid out. and comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful.

As a visiting nurse I see many different communities in the Lakewood area and I want to share that my experience with Brookdale Meridian Westland has been wonderful. This community is clean and fresh and the staff are friendly and smiling and most importantly the residents seem so happy ! The new executive director, Trisha Thomas has made a tremendous impact and I leave knowing my residents are in good hands .

After I missed our scheduled appointment and had to reschedule the staff could not have been more wonderful. Jamie spend over and hour with us touring the facility and answering all of our questions. She agreed to let us set up two more visits with our Dad to make sure we had all the necessary information. We spoke to a resident in the parking lot prior to entering and he had only great things to say about the facility. If I was older I would move in at a moments notice!

I have met with Jamie three times. She is very professional, knowledgeable, warm and friendly. She took all the time I needed to show me around and answer my questions. I never felt rushed. She even referred me to professionals in the area that are helping me with other issues. The facility is beautiful. I cant wait to move my sister into Meridian Westland.
