The community is well maintained, inviting, and truly feels like home. Tina, the Sales Director, is absolutely amazing. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She takes the time to listen, answer every question, and make families feel comfortable and supported. I recently toured at Whealdon and I was thoroughly impressed with the renovations and see the finshed product. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and felt like home right away. The staff members were professional, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about the residents. There were a variety of activities offered every week”from exercise classes to social events”which created a strong sense of community. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Whealdon to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and friendly place to enjoy their independence without feeling isolated. It’s clear they take pride in the care and services they offer.

Our school dance program had the honor of visiting Whealdon Estates. We performed for the residents and had an opportunity to visit thereafter. We even had an opportunity to dine and the experience was top tier.

Our time at the facility was wonderful! The Liberty Magnet Band, which I am proud to direct, performed for the residents, and we enjoyed fellowshipping with them. The outdoor area was beautifully maintained, with well-kept flowers and landscaping. Inside, everything was clean and welcoming. They also had interactive activities like pool tables and a piano to keep the students engaged. Plus, the food was absolutely amazing! We look forward to returning to provide more entertainment and volunteer our time again!

My name is Cecelia Perkins and i have lived in Whealdon Estates for over fourteen years. In lieu of the fact that I have lived here so long, should indicate that I am pleased with this facility. Jessica Cooper, our General Manager is an outstanding administrator. In addition to having an "open door practice", she is constantly seeking as well as discovering ways to improve our facility, our comfort, our lively hood, our everyday activities, and our meals. She makes it easy for me to say that "Whealdon is MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME". Since Jessica has been here, she has made numerous positive changes in several areas of our community. I am constantly praising our chef and his staff for the appetizing, delicious, and delectable meals that we are enjoying. That is because Jessica and chef meet daily

I've lived here for 11years and am very proud when people ask where I live and I can tell them whealdon estates. The housekeepers are the best,they are very accommodating and treat you like family. Food needs improving but is getting some better. I always recommend Whealdon Estates when I hear people say they are thinking of downsizing.

I have an elderly friend recently widowed that moved here from Georgia. She has a studio apartment on the 2nd floor. Cute balcony that is large enough to hold 2 plastic lawn chairs with arm rests and a plant stand. She has a single bed with room for 2 night stands and extra. A wall of closets with 3 sliding doors. Nice sized bathroom with walk in shower with seat. Small refrigerator and counter space for coffee maker and toaster. Nice closet in entry way. The apartment is bright due to a glass patio door and wide windows in bedroom and living room area. The dining room downstairs is an open plan and lots of space between tables to maneuver walkers and wheelchairs. I was there for Sunday evening's supper which had an excellent starter of cabbage soup. Main entree was choice of shrimp tortellini with Brussel sprouts or chicken fried rice with an egg roll. Vanilla ice cream for dessert. The food was tasty with good presentation. The dining area has something similar to sky vents. You can bring a small pet for an additional fee per month which is less than a one night stay fee at a big hotel chain. The ground floor apartments are more expensive but you can put up a small fence to allow your pet some running space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having worked in the medical field I have visited several nursing care facilities and a few assisted living ones. I was impressed! I would prefer to be in my own home but I could picture myself living there as I age. There are safety features built in similar life alert connected to the fire station nearby. Walking trails and good parking should you still drive. Proximity to major hospitals is a big plus also along with restaurants and the Mall of Louisiana.

My first time living at Wealdon was a new experience. It was like I had moved in with a very pleasant large family. Everyone was just about always congenial. I only left because I met Carol at Wealdon and we wanted to be together as a couple. Unfortunately she passed away just before we were going to be married. We were planning to ask permission to hold the wedding at Wealdon, but she didn't feel we should until she felt stronger. She was admitted so she could be better but she didn't make it through. I could think of no other choice when I decided to look for a place to move. Meldcajun

The quality of the food has continued to decline since my mother-in-law rented her apartment there last year. Several times, it has been totally inedible. The staff that I've encountered are friendly, but she's told me that some of the dining room staff are sometimes rude or uncaring.
