After my wife passed away I had a decision to make. Live with my children or go out on my own. I decided to go on my own. I heard about A Place for Mom and reach out to them for guidance. I told the a place for mom rep about what I was looking for and the specific guidelines. I had a 70lb bulldog boxer mix and I didn't want to relocate far from where I was currently living as I had lived there for over 40 years and have so many friends. I did not expect to hear back so quickly. However, the next day I got a phone call and told me "I found a place for you". She asked if I could take my dog to a place called Gentry Park so that they could meet Gemini. I brought Gemini to Gentry Park and she was accepted. Another criteria was proximity of my home and Gentry Park was only 7 miles. So I decided to tour the community. I found the people very friendly and knowledgeable. I made the decision to move into Gentry Park. It did not take long to feel at home because the people that I met were outgoing, friendly, and several military retirees like myself. One of the biggest influences that helped my decision was someone who already lived there. I decided that I would try to involve myself rather than sit around and wait. Some of the hobbies I did prior to my wife passing I decided to start them at Gentry Park. I checked with the Executive Director to see if I could send birthday cards to residents and later employees and she told me that would be a good idea. Expanding into holiday cards for everyone. It did not take long to make many friends. I was impressed by the variety of things offered in entertainment, outings, and variety of activities. Some of the outings we go to include Publix, Target, and dollar tree. People truly care about each other here. Prior to coming to to Gentry Park my wife and I would visit many other communities and I can honestly say that none of them ever measured up to Gentry Park.

Fantastic Assisted Living Facility!! My mother is 101 and has lived at Gentry Park for 8 years and has always had great care! They have great food and creative entertainment for the residents. My mother feels very loved!!

We were encouraged to tour Gentry by a current resident and their family. They spoke so highly about this place that we decided to stop by unannounced for a tour and were truly impressed. We walked in without any notice and everyone was beyond welcoming. There were residents playing games and we had an opportunity to eat there. The food exceeded our expectations. They have a menu with numerous options so residents are able to select what they like. We noticed that the facility was very well maintained. We left my dad (future resident) to chit chat with other residents who were quite vocal about their love for Gentry Park. We also had an opportunity to speak with Mr. Gonzalez, the Director. We were impressed with his open door policy. Tony was beyond professional and knowledgeable. Thank you Lorrie for such a detailed tour and thank you Mr. Gonzalez for your time! We will be moving my dad in ASAP!

Iv been visiting my mom everyday for two weeks at all times of the day and I'm very pleased with this facility staffing is professional, kind and helpful food is Fabulous!!!!!!!! lots of stimulating activities building smells clean moms rooms is a good size … the only thing I would recommend is that the front desk have a health professional present 24/7 thankS

This place has been such a blessing to my grandparents. They treat them like royalty and the staff is amazing! A special shout out to Christina in the dining room - she cares for the residents as if they’re her own family. I would highly recommend touring this independent living

The building is beautiful. The staff is phenomenal, caring, and patient. The administration is even better. If you’re looking for a place for your loved one in Orlando or some what close, this is the place to be!

When you are faced with the decision to place your parent in assisted living it's one of the most difficult things you'll do in your life. The Staff at Gentry Park was very compassionate and empathetic in this process. First meeting Ashley that gave us the information. Then when it came time to complete the paperwork I was a wreck but Kari and Samantha held my hand and assured me throughout the process . They were godsend. The Staff is kind, caring and very attentive. Mom feels cared for, that's what we wait for our loved ones.

Approximately three years ago I was put in a situation where I had to make the hard decision not to let my Mother, then 89, continue to live on her own. After visiting several Assisted Living Facilities and being disappointed by each a friend recommended Gentry Park Orlando (GPO). I scheduled the visit, tour and found it to be a caring, warm, inviting environment. When I left that day, I knew that was the place I wanted my Mom to live. She has been there now 2 ½ years and never once have I had 2nd thoughts about my decision for her to live at GPO. I can rest easy knowing she has been taken care of. They have cared for her through hurricanes and now the Covid-19 Pandemic. While it is never easy to be away from loved ones, GPO helps to keep residents active and engaged while keeping their health and safety the number one priority. GPO provides constant meaningful and informative communications providing updates and information regarding the current situation. Staff at GPO are caring and compassionate in providing care and daily assistance my Mom. They not only are concerned for her wellbeing, but mine as well. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, I recommend you schedule a visit, meet the staff and see for yourself what a wonderful place Gentry Park Orlando is, when it comes to the caring for your loved ones.
