Alto's Activity department is top notch! I work with Amber frequently and she does such a wide variety of activities. The residents really enjoy her scheduling so many different things.

Great Facility! Always clean, well kept and seems like they have a lot of staff! Lots of space and activities for the capacity. One of my top recommendations when it comes to senior living in KC. Haven’t heard anything bad from anyone I’ve dealt with living or working there.

Takes awhile to connect well with the staff but my mom is doing much better with everything. I love the staff and enjoy the people. No place is perfect but I sometimes wish I could stay there for awhile.

My parents have been residents for 2 months now and we have had non stop issues, including care issues of great concern. Numerous occasions where they have been ignored for hours even when activating the emergency call button, not occasional but frequent. Staff turnover is massive leading to poor care or training. Pharmacy mistakes and billing issues are also of concern. The issue is poor executive leadership or attention, they frequently apologize for failure but do nothing to correct it. They are among the most expensive in the area. And quality doesn't measure up.

Very bad management! This latest manager isnt very nice and she treats her employees bad and the customers worse! The building is mismanaged and run down and dirty needs many repaires.

We love working with the team at the Alto! Mahi and Casandra are two of the best people in the business and I would trust them with the care of my loved ones any day. They have a beautiful community, happy staff members, and very fun activities.

We have enjoyed and continue to look forward every month to the joy of performing for those wonderful residents at Alto Overland Park. We love to see (and hear) the residents sing along to our music. I am one of the musicians that performs regularly at Alto Overland Park, and it has quickly become my favorite senior living community. I have made so many friends among the residents, and it is apparent to me how happy they are at Alto! I am privileged to play the beautiful walnut colored Yamaha grand piano in the bright and cheerful lobby area, and the staff is always so kind and helpful towards me. It is such a joy to be at Alto Overland Park!

My wife and I have been presenting monthly history programs at Alto for several years as part of the "Wine Down Wednesday" happy hour. In addition, we bring a special wine each month to taste and discuss. The residents are always attentive, involved, interactive and make the presentations fun. We appreciate the Lifestyles Department for making us a part of their activities and for recognizing the importance of intellectual programs for their residents!

My mother has been staying at Alto for several months and is loving it! The staff are always friendly and helpful. There are daily activities that she enjoys and has made many new friends. The nurses and aides have been attentive, especially Karina, Patty and Tiger. The food is delicious and they serve a great variety each week. We feel that Mom is in a safe comfortable place!

They only gave my mom a 2 weeks notice to move my dad out. Stage 2 Alzheimer's, payments were made, but because he was a respite care patient, and my mom wasn't able to have him there permanently because she couldn't afford the high costs, they wanted him out. No written notice, just a call. Very unfortunate for them to treat my parents that way.

I have a friend there. She is happy & satisfied. Every time I visit I'm impressed about the cleanliness and the fact that it smells fresh, and it's not covering anything to smell fresh. Residents in lobby and halls appear happy. I thought the service they offered in the dining room was great. My friend has never said anything bad about the food and that says a lot for an older person. I've only seen clean plates. The front desk has been more than accommodating to me on several occasions. I highly recommend a VISIT to ANTHOLOGY.

Communication with family members is very poor. We have been through an experience that I hope no one ever has to go through and could have been avoided had the authorities of this facility listened to us. It has taken its toll on our mom that cannot be reversed.

The Sheridan had a very nice building & pretty decor, reminded me of a cruise ship. The memory care facility had nice computer software that allows the unit a number of choices of activities for residents; karaoke, bingo, watching the fish swim by etc. The outdoor patio with flowers was wonderful, so the residents can get to outside without leaving the unit. In the past they had wonderful staff. Anna, the Asst Activities Director, really connected with the residents. Ali S. was so sweet and kind and made everyone feel special. Andre had such a great smile and made everyone happy around him. Camilla, The Memory Care Director, had such vision, and I am not sure what happen but the light was extinguished in her. It is amazing what you will overlook when you feel like there is good staff there looking after your family. Really, same cob web I passed day after day, but never mentioned because my loved one was getting good care & love from staff. But one by one the staff started leaving. They were all so unhappy, they were reporting things going wrong and no one in management would help nor seemed to care. Then basic things fall apart; Cleaning, Food Service, Maintenance, and I reported these issues nicely to management, and they said they would address & time goes by and no one addresses. So I follow up & ask for a meeting to discuss these items that are an issue, and now I am concerned not only about my loved one but others in the memory care neighborhood. They said they would look into and get back to me, crickets again. When finally I pushed again, why are these things not getting addressed? Suddenly I was being accused of something I did not do, and then suddenly I received a voicemail saying it was time to find my loved one a new facility. They were extending beyond the capacity of The Sheridan staff. I am not saying that perhaps it was not time for me to find a better place for my loved one, as clearly that facility was no longer up to my standards. But the point is, I worried for the other residents being left behind. Their family did not come every single day & see what I saw. Lets be honest, I was also becoming too of a squeaky wheel, they needed to find some basis for getting rid of you.

We are incredibly blessed to have both my parents together in memory care at Anthology. The staff is so loving and really care for my parents. We have become a big family. Jared and Camilla are fabulous and Anthology has to be the best memory care in the city. They have activities and many outings including boating and Top Golf. We are amazed at how quickly they adjusted to their new home. Anthology always puts the needs of their residents first and even tore down a wall so my parents could be together. We are able to take them out to all our family events and bring them back to their safe haven. Agnes is an incredible nurse who cares for my parents - she is amazing and my parents really love her. They have the same wonderful staff that works with them every day- and that familiarity has brought my parents so much comfort. We are so thankful for Anthology and their incredible staff. The search for the right care has been a journey-and was very difficult- but now we are so thankful that we were led to Anthology and that my parents are so happy. I know this chapter will be filled with love and support.

My mom lived there almost 4 years before she passed. Until Covid restrictions I was a frequent visitor. The facility is lovely. The staff is gracious and kind. They truly loved my mom. Memory Care is outstanding and enables the residents to maximize the life they have. Mom loved them like family which was a great comfort to me when I couldn’t be there because of Covid.
