My mom-in-law has been cared for very well. Any time we have had a concern, the executive director was always willing to listen and help us find solutions. Most of the caregivers were very caring and they truly seem to care about the residents. Also, the director does a good job of communicating with resident families.

My mother has been living at Harvest for over 2 years now and I couldn't be more pleased. We recently had to move her from assisted living into the memory care section. I am very grateful for the management of and staff at Harvest. My dad moved to Harvest 5 months ago after suffering a stroke and they made the transition for both my dad and I seamless. I’m completely at peace knowing that the medical staff watches over him and alerts me the moment something is off and needs attention. The entire staff has great rapport with my dad and the other residents. It’s not easy for some to make the transition to assisted living (my dad), and they have all interacted with him in such a way to gain his trust and friendship. At Harvest, my dad is able to be seen by a doctor, do PT/OT, has lots of activities (movie room is his favorite), and has made precious friends. All in all, I am very satisfied with our choice to make Harvest my dad’s home.

My mother in law is a resident at Harvest of Roanoke and we have been very happy with her care there thus far. It is a beautiful place and very clean. They have lots of fun activities for the residents and the staff is very welcoming and caring. The communication is excellent. If we ever have a question or issue, they get back to us in a timely manner. Linh, the Executive Director, is great to work with and very professional. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, well managed and secure home for your loved one, look no further. The Harvest of Roanoke is top notch with professional services. My mother has been a resident of the Memory Care unit, known as The Cottage, for over a year now and it took a lot of stress and pressure off the family knowing she’s being take care of 24/7. The Director is very passionate about the well being of all the residents and she will work with the family until all requests or special needs are met. She makes it all possible and is truly an angel! The staff is friendly, professional, and truly care for each resident. Don’t look any further than The Harvest and call them forms tour today!!!

Linh gave us a tour of this beautiful community. I saw staff all hard at work participating in different activities with residents. Harvest is beautifully designed, very clean, and has an amazing outdoor space. I cannot express how wonderful Linh is, how knowledgeable, and how dedicated she is too all of her residents.

My parents lived at Harvest of Roanoke for around 31/2 years. My dad in assisted living, my momma in memory care. In the 31/2 years we experienced the tough times and the best of times. The major impression I walk away with is the desire for excellence. All of the managers and care-givers have a loving, caring heart for the residents. I can honestly say that now is the best of times, especially with Director Erica in the lead. I’ve never asked for assistance in any area that the need was not addressed immediately with care. If you are looking for Assisted Living for your parents, I highly recommend Harvest of Roanoke. You can sleep at night reassured that your loved ones are well cared for. Thank you Harvest!!

This place is very beautiful. Alaina is wonderful. The WD they had was wonderful with my mom but then she was gone sure hate not seeing her there! Care staff are all caring . Still learning ED she seems scattered at time and difficult to get in to talk to her .

My mother has had an amazing experience at Harvest of Roanoke. The staff is friendly and professional, making the transition from home life to her new apartment seamless. The activities schedule keeps her busy and engaged with all her new friends. We are thankful for the staff (too many to mention) that has made her new adventure exciting and fun, and given our family peace of mind that she is in a safe place.

This place is simply beautiful. It's often understaffed. Friendly staff and security measures in place for residents. The residents I've crossed paths with seem happy to be there. Often, activities and games going on.

Do not.move here!!!!!I I have never been treated with such disrespect. I was sick and accidentally peed in my bed.I had 2 +++ care givers. ++++ come to my room. When I told them my sheets.needed changed they said they would get help. Neither one came back !!!! my husband finally called and someone did come. This was near!ly an HOUR later !!! We often wait for over 30 to 45 minutes after we order.our meal !!!. Frequently we are told to choose something else as they have run out of what we chose. I could get better service at Holiday Inn for the price they charge !!!! Go any where else !!!!

From all sides of the facility management, wellness, activities, house keeping, and dining you see people trying to make this stage of life as home like as possible! From going to living on your own to having to learn to allow others to care for you, clean for you, make your food it seems like there will always be upset moments. If you stop and look around you will see this place has heart and passion in it! There will always be a complaint or things that go wrong, but that's life. The residents even have a council, a voice, and help to make it home. You can definitely see the love!

I love living at Harvest of Roanoke now. I moved in when they first opened. However, with very few residents at that time, I felt the atmosphere was cold and not much was happening. I moved to another assisted living facility. I only wish I had returned after a year. Boy! Things have certainly changed. Food is good. Residents and staff are so friendly. Great management, as well. What are you waiting for? Give Alaine a call a set up a tour. If your apartment isn’t available, put your name on the waiting list. You will not regret it.

Unfortunately with ongoing staffing issues we have had some good periods of stability in food options and improved activities during the last 6 months, but then the facility always reverts back to poor core management from the top with bad policy in more covid lockdowns of HEALTHY residents after having large events and inviting family members while crowding in for festivities. The healthy residents have been on a lockdown with no meals together or activities since before CHRISTMAS! By making residents stay in their rooms to eat, not allowing them to have activities for weeks because some residents or a staff member tests positive for covid is against the data proven to be effective for virus spreading, and wearing masks for the elderly who are already compromised for ambulating with assistive devices and with decreased vision is a fall risk. Why are healthy residents isolated for weeks? Poor policy takes advantage of the vulnerable elderly population by isolating the healthy elderly in their rooms causes weakness and increases a mental decline from decreased social interaction. I would NOT recommend this facility. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Harvest is a beautiful facility and they try their best to meet all the needs of the residents. The food is good, the employees are cheerful and care is excellent. The special holidays and occasions are very well done and I am amazed at what a beautiful job they do. The chief prepares a delicious meal and the employees are so outstanding in their attention to making it a occasion to remember. I would highly recommend Harvest.

My MIL was a resident of the Harvest for a year and a half. She was in AL and her apartment was beautiful. But more importantly l liked the care she received. I can’t say enough good things about Erica, Lucy, Brandi and the Executive Director Ruth. There were even a couple of times that my MIL had a concern about meds or something and Erica left her home to come and see if something was wrong. The care of our parents is so very important to us all and we were so pleased with her care there. And we appreciate the people at the Harvest for all they do.
