I visited this place and i come in to do a sitter/companion job with a resident/friend that lives here. I have experienced and seen how friendly and hard working the staff are and especially Joanna one of the caregivers is very helpful and goes above and beyond. Now when it comes to management, well the Executive Director Al cares alot about the residents and employees. He goes about and beyond and he helps in residents rooms, helps in kitchen, helps with the caregivers. I recommend this place to anyone wanting their loved ones to live here. Added note is that the apartments are very nice, the kitchen and bathroom are very spacious.Great food as well

We moved my mother into the Memory Care unit at Alexis Pointe a couple of months ago. We have been very pleased with the love and care she has received. The caregiver truly are so patient and kind and truly try to give the best of care they possibly can. Moving your loved one into Memory Care is an excruciatingly difficult decision to make but Alexis Pointe is there to help you all through the process.

I just Love the people at Alexis Pointe!!! The building is gorgeous. It is full of light, art, nature, and all the special touches that make a building feel like a place that you just want to visit, sit for a while and even call HOME. My mom had an unfortunate accident and needed extra help after being released for the hospital. Alexis Pointe opened their doors and arms to our family. From the moment we arrived to even now when we visit for the events, the staff and other residents are so kind and comforting! The facility is gorgeous and a very well thought-out layout. The nursing staff was also very great at communicating how my mom was doing so we could make a better plan. If we did run into some other issues, the staff immediately jumped to action to help. Great experience!

The entire Griffith family would like to express our sincere appreciation for Janie Reynolds. She continually goes way above what one would expect for someone that greets us at the front door. Janie knows all of us personally and gives us great insight on how our mom is doing the moment we walk in. When our mom was recently taken to the hospital we know the reason we were notified was because of her. As we needed to find her a walker she went out of her way to connect us with other residents to get a great recommendation and then made sure once delivered it was set up. When Alexis Pointe was out of milk at a breakfast, she went to the grocery store to make sure the residents were taken care of. Alexis Pointe is incredibly fortunate to have such a great person and we are blessed to have someone that takes such personal interest in our mom and all the other residents. With all the turnover can’t imagine what it would be like without her there.

When you walk into Alexis Pointe, you feel like you are walking into a warm home with a loving family. The staff take wonderful care of the residents as if they were, in fact, their own family. The building is absolutely beautiful with a lovely courtyard in the middle. I work with many residents that live at Alexis Pointe and they have been so very happy living there. It is such a weight off of my shoulders to know that they are being cared for, fed well, entertained with wonderful activities, and most of all, the staff is in constant communication with me about their needs. I couldn't recommend it more.

Great facility for my MIL. No complaints except they seem to have a hard time keeping staff. I do realize all of the US is that way. Thank goodness for Janie at the front desk. She seems to run that place and thank goodness she hasn't left. Sure don't know what they'd do without her!!! Jason is another keeper...he can do anything.

My mother has been at Alexis-Pointe in Wimberley since May 2020. The facility is inviting, the staff friendly, helpful, and dedicated. I don't think i've ever heart a sour word from anyone there! Mom likes eating in the dining room with her friends who live there, and she enjoys walking in the courtyard and around the inside of the building. She likes the chair exercises and participates in many of the activities. None of us 'kids' live in Texas, and we are grateful that mom has a place to live where she is safe and cared for.

I met with two residents, one of whom I engaged about her experience on my own. Both residents gave glowing reviews of Alexis Pointe, including the attentiveness of staff, the food, and the personal connections they shared with staff, other residents, and Katy. It's very apparent that Alexis Point facilitates healthy independent living and has the resources to deliver resident-centered assisted living.

This place puts on a Ness of the sadness very fancy and some of the people the receptionist and a few of the aids are kind and nurturing the rest are sadistic and insolent there is no full-time medical care here and they withhold medication they don't approve of you been if they're prescribed by her own doctor and how completely legal they serve meals in the rooms if there was a Covid scare or other reasons but they leave the leftovers and dirty plates out overnight and during the day so that eventually the room attracted cockroaches I had a very bad experience here thank you

My MIL has lived at Alexis Pointe since June 2021. We moved her from San Antonio shortly after her husband passed away. The facility is very nice and clean. My only complaint is the turnover with their employees. We have gone through many, many staff changes. The ONE CONSTANT has been Janie at the front desk. In the 15 months since my MIL arrived, Janie, is our go to person. She knows everyone and everything. If she doesn't she will get back to you with your answer. One day, I asked her if she lived there because she seemed to always be at AP no matter when we came to visit. I will rate AP with 5 stars, but we would definitely give Janie 10+ stars! She's a keeper!!

However, BEWARE, If your loved one is an Alzheimer's resident, they will not necessarily keep them until "end of life" as they assured us they would do. Their website claims to "provide specialized care for ALL stages of dementia" and accommodate "two person transfer", yet as soon as my 100lb mother could not support her own body weight, and it took two caregivers to move her, they wanted me to move her out. We were told when we signed our contract, that we would never have to move our mother and that she could die there. They spent the last two months of my mothers life and time there, coming up with every kind of excuse to not keep her. It seems, based on everything I know and researched, they didn't want to hire or train additional staff to deal with someone who requires the extra care. Anyone who has a parent with Alzheimer's, should not use a Civitas facility and search elsewhere.

I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with all these unique people at Alexis Pointe. I can honestly say we have a wonderful team of caregivers and managers who truly care and work very hard...above and beyond...every single day. We are going through challenging times as a country & in our own community due to COVID, and it has posed a lot of extra stress and restrictions on us all. That being said, we ARE STRONG and we HAVE HOPE. Even with the restrictions of social distancing and mask wearing, and limitations on visits from our loved ones....we are doing our very best to make the most of our days. We have opportunities daily for residents to get exercise, creative outlets, cognitive games, and social (albeit distanced!) connections with their neighbors. I do feel supported by my superiors in my role. Great team. Great residents!

I moved my relative into Alexis Point from a rehab center 3 weeks ago. He has been in several rehab centers and another assisted living this past year while waiting for this place to open. He is so happy! The apartment is well designed. The nursing staff in the wellness center are responsive, very kind to him, and seem genuinely concerned. The caregivers have been exceptional. They have gone out of their way to make him comfortable and safe, and treat him with respect. The servers in the dining room remember his food restrictions and preferences and are very polite. Overall he has been pleased with the food. They serve fresh fruit and salads so he is happy. We are very happy to have him at Alexis Point.
