The Homestead staff treated my mother and my family like we were their own family. They were very flexible with her accommodations and helped us without fuss both times my mom needed to move apartments while she was there. I visited many facilities throughout the metro and I will forever be grateful that they took us in and took such great care of my mom during the last couple years of her life. Without their care and compassion I don't think we would have gotten those last couple of years.

First of all, if you treat the staff with respect, theyll respect you back. Ben was very helpful in moving from a disruptive room to another. The 2 Jennifers 1 blonde, 1 brunette, Katie, Breanna, Chris who replaced my stolen pizza, Ingrid, I am sorry but I forgot the male O.T. guy and the other O.T lady from Plymouth who brought me books to read were very nice and were very kind to me. Evans, Prince, Deanndra , and Tom the nurses were wonderful and Ernie the janitor always did a great job cleaning my room. Kathy the cook would always make sure if there was no Tomato soup, shed get me more for the kitchen. Dr.Paul finally after what seemed like 6 months duagnosed my foot pain as gout. I cant say enough good things about this place. the only person I had a problem with was one sarcastic nurse from Nigeria that yelled at me because I had zero money and noone to ask for some shampoo. Other than that, I am getting back on my feet. Went from a wheel chair to a walker to finally walking on my own again.

My mother lived at the Homestead at Maplewood for two years. The care she received there was wonderful. My siblings and I could not have been more happy for her. She had a very bright cheery studio apartment that had plenty of room. The Home Health staff was very attentive to her and kept us updated on how she was doing. They were also happy to receive our phone calls for updates and concerns. They truly worked as a team with us. This was appreciated as we all lived in other states.

I am very thankful for the care that The Homstead at Maplewood provides for my father, John (Jack ) Schwartz. It was the third long term care facility that he was in. We had him on the waiting list for 10 months to get in because they accept Elderly Waiver patients. The first person that I would like to thank is Ardette, the nurse in charge of care for my father. She always kept me up to date on his status and really made me feel he was being well cared for. All she has done for him is appreciated. And to all the aides that help him on a daily basis I really want to thank. I dont know how you do what you do and keep such a great attitude. The people I deal with there when I come to visit are always in a good mood and seem so friendly. Im very satisfied with the care he receives there.

I love this setting for my mother. She gets confused occasionally and misplaces things; none of which are actually lost, I always am able to find them.
