We visited Legend of McKinney for my sister who is possibly going to need assisted living in the near future. It was a very loving, warm faith based residence. While it was perfect for her, she just wasn’t ready yet. Chelsea went above and beyond showing us around and we loved seeing her interaction with all the folks living therethey lit up when they saw her! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or loved ones.

We've had a wonderful experience with Legend. My Dad passed away last year, and Mom was unable to live by herself. Since she moved in to Legend we've been very impressed and super-grateful for every member of the staff, the comfortable facilities, and the dedication to individual care that everyone has. From the nursing staff, assistants. physical therapists, business office, dining managers - everyone has treated my Mom and the rest of our family with genuine care and interest. Nothing has fallen through the cracks. My Mom, who is very independent and probably thought she would never need or want assisted living, is always happy, stays occupied and interested in activities, has a smile on her face, and is able to live a happy and fulfilling life. We can't recommend Legend enough.

I have been so happy and impressed with the staff, care and facilities at Legend of McKinney. I am so blessed that my parents are living here and are well taken care of with the good meals, great activities and community, and facilities. They can get their haircuts & nails trimmed, watch movies & enjoy wibowling in the theater room, have Bible study, painting class and chair yoga in the activities center, and enjoy the other great residents while playing games, putting a puzzle together or gathering for the hymn sing around the piano. Thank you Legend of McKinney, for giving me great peace of mind knowing my parents are safe in their new community home.

My (almost) 92 year old dad has lived at Legend now for 2.5 months. The staff is wonderful, starting with our experience with the sales consultant. She spent quite a bit of time with us in person and answering a LOT of questions along the way. The front desk staff always greets you with a smile. And the care team is awesome... always friendly and ready to help. There are so many men and women (the kitchen staff, housekeeping, maintenance, medical, etc.) that make all of this work, but they have it down! My husband and I spent numerous hours online researching just the right assisted senior living community that would be the best fit for my dad. We narrowed it down to 6 to tour and then chose 2 for my dad to check out. He liked the "hominess" of Legend and that it's faith-based. That was important to him. We feel like, all-in-all, Legend was the right choice for our family.

Legend of McKinney is a great community! I personally know one of the leasing agents there who is phenomenal at her job and treats everyone with kindness, care, and compassion. She exudes joy and makes everyone feel at home. One of the reasons she can be so enthusiastic is because she genuinely believes in the gift of this community. She often speaks of how amazing Legend is and how thankful she is to get to work there and interact with the residents. I got the privilege of dancing there with a small country dance group of mine where we performed for the residents a couple times now. That was such a joy and delight to get to interact with them. Legend has many activities, parties, and events for residents to socialize and spend time with each other! It also has a calm, homey atmosphere, which many residents love and say remind them of their prior homes. You should definitely check out Legend when looking for a next home for your loved one or yourself!

What a wonderful Senior living community. First, it is beautiful inside an out. The apartments are spacious and well appointed. In any community, the food is very important and their Chef is one of the best. The rest of the staff is also amazing. The ED, Cindy was there before the building was built and the remainder of the staffing has great longevity also. When you are at Legend of McKinney, you are home and as family members of residents, you have no worries leaving your loved ones in capable hands.

While moving our mom into assisted living was not an easy decision, it has been the best one for her care and that's all due to Legend of Mckinney staff. This was the last visit of 10 communities that we toured. From the very first visit, it was different and we knew it was the perfect place for us. The staff at Legend are amazing!!! Every person in that building knows every resident's name and greets them every time they see them. They kid around with mom and are always laughing and making her feel special. The building itself is always maintained inside and out. The apartments are spacious enough and bright with a big window. The residents are always engaged in different activities and are so pleasant. Most importantly, mom is safe and happy. We are so very grateful to Legend for their caring hearts and dedication and would highly recommend this community for your loved ones.

Where do I begin? As a daughter, I want the best for my Mother who has dementia; after all, my Mother gave me her best for many, many years. Admittedly, the search for an assisted living facility was tedious and exhausting, and I failed three times prior to finding Legend McKinney. They promised the moon when visiting, but once my Mother moved in their promises fell short. When visiting Legend McKinney, something was different; that something was care and compassion. They are experts in handling each and every resident with love, dignity and respect. The leasing staff are sincere in what they say, honest and straight forward. The medical staff are very attentive and know each and every residents medical issues and needs. The care staff address every resident by name and truly care about the residents well-being and it shows in their interactions with the residents. Maintenance is on top of issues and completes work quickly and is efficiently. The resident activities staff are cheery and love what they do and it definitely shows! Everyone from the top down are amazing and I can rest assured knowing that when I cannot be with my Mother, she is loved, treated with respect and cared for as if she were their own family!

Out of my 20 years working in different Senior Communities, this is by far, the best and nicest Assisted Living Facility I've been to. The building is beautiful and you can tell that they tried to keep it very nice and clean. It does not have that typical odor when you walk in and you are always greeted with friendly faces. You can see that the residents are happy and satisfied with their care. They have a nice private dining room and they serve restaurant quality food. They even have a movie theater with free popcorn/cookies everyday! The rooms are accessible and functional. Carestaffs are always ready to help the residents and meet their needs. These are just awesome people that I get to work with when I'm at the Legend of McKinney providing Physical Therapy services. - Dr. Wee

My grandmother was one of the first three residents to move into assisted living when Legend opened. She moved over to memory care the same year. Her experience with both were wonderful before she passed recently. She loved the staff, the activities, and watching movies and football games in the theater room. I could tell the staff really cared about her too. All of the staff, especially in memory care, have great hearts. They have also been very cautious during the pandemic. I knew my grandmother was in good hands here, especially during the pandemic. That really offered my family some comfort the last few months. I can't speak to the experience as a resident but as a family member I think highly of Legend.

I very much enjoy coming to this building. The staff is very much involved from Cedric who is charge of Activities, Cindy the Executive Director. The Nurses Michelle and Ann Marie take amazing care of all the residents. Dj, Collin and Joanie Sales and Marketing and are so professional. They are all involved with the residents as well. The care staff and Maintance are all on top of making sure every resident is care and lives in healthy clean community. I would highly recommend this community in ASsisted Living and Memory Care.
