The memory care unit is very secure and the caregivers there are very compassionate and are experienced with understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia. Pleasant atmosphere and they keep the residents busy with crafts and games. The meals are wonderful and very nutritious. The caregivers work with the residents making sure they are eating. If there is a concern they call and communicate the problem to better help with a solution for all involved for the betterment of the resident.

Exceptional Care and Outstanding Team at lan in beautiful Corpus Christi I am so grateful for the care and support my mother has received at lan Corpus Christi. From the very beginning, the process of moving her in was handled with remarkable efficiency and genuine kindness. A special thank-you goes to Misty, the Marketing Director, who knew I was scared ,and overwhelmed at having to place my mother in memory care. She went above and beyond in helping us. She carefully assisted us in selecting my mother’s new physician, and worked tirelessly to streamline all the necessary paperwork. What usually involves a maze of time-consuming hoops was made smooth and straightforward thanks to her guidance. Misty and the community Director, Marti, coordinated everything seamlessly with my mother’s previous doctors and medications, ensuring a safe and complete transition to her new physician and medication plan. Because of their dedication and organization, we were able to get my mother settled into lan within just two days. I also want to recognize Nurse Shelby, who has more than 15 years of experience in memory care. She took the time to thoroughly assess my mother’s needs and helped us determine the right level of care. Her thoughtful recommendations regarding diet, nutrition, and medication scheduling gave us real confidence that my mother would be well supported. I have very impressed with the amount of attention given to the residents as they’re getting settled in. Elan will always hold a special place in our hearts. My mother-in-law moved to Elan in assisted living in 2023 and later moved to Memory Care. Late in the fall of 2025, she began Hospice care at Elan. It was a blessing to have the support of the Elan family and Elara Hospice in the difficult journey of saying goodbye to such a special lady in our family. From the first day there, my mother-in-law was shown so much love by all of the staff. I admire the way the staff sees each resident as a unique and special individual, knowing specific things about them and connecting with them personally. The service was excellent and consistent ... professional and compassionate. The staff works as a team and makes it a fun place to live. There's always something going on. There are fun outings for the residents, too. Monthly family nights are something my mother-in-law dearly loved. The meals are consistently good and the dining room is a place of community. The building is cheerful, clean and well-maintained. Although I'm unable to name every person who made our two years at Elan so special, you are all in my heart. Overall a very good place for your elderly loved one. Marty the managers who oversees all operations is tremendous. Very receptive to your concerns and makes herself available to the residents and their families. Elan is a clean, nice, well cared for facility, and has a great staff. The resident assistants who care for your family member do their best. Its like anywhere else, you’ll have some shifts where people call in sick, don’t show up and the other RAs can get a little overwhelmed and overworked, but they do their best to manage. Some of the RAs I would like to recognize for their hard work and dedication were Marissa, both Maria’s, both Sierras, Ally, Christine, Cynthia, D, and Lana. They truly care about the residents and see the purpose of caring properly for the elderly. My mom was there for nearly three years and when she started hospice care, Elan was very helpful, compassionate, and sympathetic. Sylvia the medical coordinator always made time for the family and regularly asked how they could help and make things better for my mom and family. By far my sister and I were very happy with my mom’s care at elan throughout her stay.

Angie and the entire Select Rehab team working at Elan Corpus Christi have been absolutely outstanding. Angie was our lead contact point, and she was always attentive, responsive, and kept us informed every step of the way. The whole staff treated my mom with patience, compassion, and genuine care, and she looked forward to every therapy session. In a strange way, we’re sad her therapy has concluded because she truly enjoyed working with them. We deeply appreciate the professionalism, communication, and kindness they showed her throughout her time there. I was skeptical at first because my mom at 88 years old had been at other facilities in Corpus before. Before my mom moved in to the Elan Misti had told me the wonderful things that they would do for my mom. It turned out that everything she said was not only true, but they have been going far beyond my expectations! They do everything that they said the would do and more. No place is perfect but the Elan is as close as you can get. The food is good even though my mom doesn’t like it at all times. My mom doesn’t even like the food I cook for her all the time! I would give 6 stars if it was available!

When the time came to relocate my older sister to a memory care facility, the Elan staff worked wonderfully to meet our needs in a timely manner. All the staff has embraced her with so much affection, that she truly feels at home. She is going on a year's stay there, and we have never observed any negativity towards her and our family. Everyone is so friendly and helpful! The food is excellent way better than what we were use to! Everyone makes my Mom feel special! We moved here so excited from our family perspective my mom was hesitant to move, but now she is so happy she made this move. We are too. We are grateful for Misti the community relations director. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Elan Assisted Living! The community itself is absolutely beautiful, but what truly sets it apart are the people. Every single caregiver and staff member we’ve met has been so sweet, genuine, and truly passionate about their work. You can tell they aren’t just doing a job ” they sincerely care about the seniors they’re helping every day. For me, it gives such peace of mind knowing my mom is not only in a safe and welcoming environment, but also surrounded by people who treat her with kindness and respect. The building grounds are all beautiful, but very understaffed most patients will wind up with bruises due to falls due to lack of supervision. Front office will sell you the world then reality sets in of it being another for profit home that is really cutting a lot of corners and your loved one will be the one to suffer. Management let's there emotions and feelings get in the way of them doing there job if you Complain about anything, they will start to ignore you and and give you the cold shoulder. I moved mom to a group home and it is much better care and more personal care. Once again this is a for profit home and it really shows. Unfortunately the for profit homes are all the same and if you really love the person you are putting in here, beware. I was there every day and would bring to light issues that I saw and witnessed and they did not like it when you bring it to there attention. I have been trying to get a hold of the person whom does the billing whom is a very cold hearted person and she will not return my calls. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL, Unless your loved can completely take care of them selves . Activities snacks , etc. Are mainly given and done for the assisted living side. They really do not want to bother with the memory care side. BE WARE.

We lost our beloved father on July 18th, and I truly cannot imagine going through that experience without the incredible support of Elan and their amazing staff. From the beginning, they went above and beyond ” working alongside Hospice to ensure my father was cared for with compassion, dignity, and love. They supported both my mother and me emotionally, physically, and spiritually during one of the most difficult times of our lives. At one point, even the kitchen staff came up to say their goodbyes ” a gesture that speaks volumes about the heart and unity of this team. We never once felt alone or lacking in anything. They continually went the extra mile to comfort my mother through her darkest days, and their care hasn’t stopped. Even now, they still check in on her and walk beside her on her healing journey. Words fall short in expressing the depth of our gratitude for this incredible group of people. Their kindness, professionalism, and unwavering support meant the world to our family, and we will never forget it.

Elan is a beautiful, bright and clean facility. It is not just assisted living but a community that feels like family. The residents are happy and interactive with each other. There are plenty of activities available for those who want to participate. The food is phenomenal! Mostly, I want to thank Misti, the Community Relations Director. She always returns our calls and answers our questions. She makes time to speak in person with us when we are visiting. She has years of experience with elderly patients and those with dementia. Transitioning my father into AL has not been easy. Misti has been beside us every step of the way with her insight and encouragement. The relationship with the all the staff and their dispositions does not change once the resident moves in. They genuinely care and are very helpful. I sleep better knowing that my father is safe and in good hands.

Misti was prepared for our fact finding experience regarding Elan. She clearly explained the plans and answered my questions. The facility was.clean and bright and seems to take care of senior needs . Having sung there in a Sweet Adeline chorus, I knew the clientele was alert and thriving.. We even were able to sample some tasty food.after we sang. Misti was delightful and is well suited for her job. She knew residents names as we encountered them... We did tour the memory care area. I don’t know much about what to expect from memory care facilities. There was a very slight unpleasant oder in that area . The residents were eating dinner and everything was peaceful. I am glad my husband and I met with Misti and understand the possibilities should we need future care.

I first found the Elan by coming here to paint and teach painting! I love all the residents and the staff is amazing!. This facility is clean smells good and has wonderful food. After much thought and coordination/working with staff at Elan my family made the tough decision to move my uncle from the ALF side to the memory unit side of Elan. As usual, the staff have been nothing but supportive, informative and caring throughout the process. My uncle had become withdrawn so they ensured he had his meals brought to him. They checked on him frequently. After the move the staff, including Jasmine, Amy and many others checked on him as familiar faces to make him feel comfortable. The staff on memory unit side have all been super kind. Cindy and Marty have been great since day one.

If you are looking for a place for your loved one, look no further. My parents lived at various places around town, some more expensive, some less and Elan won best out all categories in our book. Every single person we came across that works there was kind, compassionate, caring and supportive of our family and our dad. Everyone from maintenance to management made us feel like family. My only regret is that I wasted time and money on the other places in town. Elan is 12/10. They exceeded every expectation, went above and beyond to make sure my dad was taken care of all the way until the end. The facility is beautiful, the kitchen staff actually makes decent food, the maintenance is quick to respond, the nurses care, and the management team leads with love. My family is very happy with Elan and will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a senior living place.

My mom moved to Elan assisted living in July and we have been very happy with her care. The staff is extremely professional, attentive, and caring towards her. The accommodations are beautiful and well maintained. The chef and kitchen staff turn out some amazing meals, which mom thoroughly enjoys. I’m so grateful to have found this facility. The post below was written over a year ago. Since then my opinion of Elan has change and our family moved my brother to a different facility. With the new administration things have gone down hill. The hiring of staff that is not trained in the simplest of care procedures, not being fully staffed and not checking properly on the residents are standard now. THIS is not the employees fault. It is the new administrators fault. Her answers are we are traing and correcting. However, the level of care is way below par now. Elan owners you need to fire the woman and hire someone to run according to state regulations. Her answer to that is "we do". We follow the regulations for "assisted living". News flash -- memory care is much different than assisted living. My brother is eating and drinking now. Interacts with everyone. I DO NOT RECOMEND ELAN, and I apologize if my prior review caused families to consider Elan. If you can I would move them. We have. After looking for a memory care place for my older brother we decided on Elan. It was more than the right decision. The facility is well kept and the staff is exceptional and well trained. But the best thing is the care my brother receives. Even with the ups and downs with dementia he is happy and deep down knows he if safe and wants to be there.

My dad was moving here from DFW to be closer to our family, but needed assistance that I could not provide him during the day. I searched for the right place and when I came upon Elan, they were a saving grace! From the minute I made the first call to them, to this very day, the care and concern they have for everyone in their establishment has not changed. D'Lyn and Dixie have two of the biggest hearts and do everything they can to make sure your experience is top notch as they really understand the struggles involved with a transition like this. They go above and beyond! This place and all of the staff are truly amazing and I thank God for them everyday. I couldn't have made this transition work for our family without them! My dad LOVES it too which is so important! If you are searching for the right place for your loved one, I would look no further! Elan is AMAZING!

I recently went to another senior living care facility nearby and the management were very rude and disrespectful towards me. I would not send my loved one to Mirador. I highly recommend Elan to others for the care of their loved ones.

My mom was one of the first residents here at Elan. We have been extremely happy with the wonderful care that mom has received. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind, and loving. Mom loves her new home and is very comfortable here. We feel so blessed to have her in a place where she is safe, well-cared for, and loved. She participates in a variety of activities daily that are designed specifically with memory care patients in mind. I moved my mother into their memory care unit from another assisted living facility. I could not believe the difference Elan made for my mom.
