I was invited to a ceramics painting class last week, and was given a tour. I meet one of the managers there, Frances. She showed me the Memory Care unit there, and I thought it was amazing that they had something similar for the people there. Also, It was a very clean unit, and it smelled really good, not like some of the other places I've been in. The food there was also good, and I was very impressed by that. I would Highly recommend "Whittier Place"to my friends and family!

I visited Whittier Place with a friend of mine who's looking for their dad. I was very impressed as I didn't really know what to expect. Honestly, if I was of age, I'd move in myself. The facility is very warm and bright and truly feels like a HOME and not the stereotypical "home" I guess you can call it? And as a friend, I told her after we visited that out of all the places we saw, this was my favorite. It seemed like the best fit for her dad and what she was looking for.

My mom had some surgeries that changed her way of life, requiring assistance for daily living. I found Whittier Place in October of last year and instantly felt the difference between this and the other places I had visited. It's warm, open, welcoming, CLEAN and inviting. It's also very much up to date and well maintained. In the 11 months my mom has been there she has thrived! She has gained some much needed weight, made friends, been doing Tai Chi and stretching exercises, floral arranging, soap making, the list goes on and on. We're very appreciative of the staff who make all of this possible!

I've been there twice for events, and the staff seems be very caring, enough that I got to hear residents telling the staff they loved them. They also just had an appreciation taco lunch for the police department and the staff was out there with rain and all. The tacos were to die for, and all made in house!

Whittier Place was the answer to our prayers. My mother needed assistance when she was diagnosed with a debilitating, terminal disease, and Whittier Place offered the services that she needed. The staff immediately embraced both my mother and father and took great care of them. The staff was very attentive and caring towards my mother's physical needs, especially as she grew weaker and more dependent on others for help. With my father, they focused more on his emotional and social needs as he needed more encouragement to get out and interact with the other residents. I like that Whittier Place assessed their unique needs and addressed them. All of the staff members at Whittier Place made a positive impact on my parents and my family. I was continuously impressed by the level of commitment to the care of their residents. I could easily make several positive comments about each staff member I met. What stands out the most to me is their genuine compassion for all of their residents. One very unexpected, but definitely appreciated gesture was that the staff members would often offer the rest of the family something to eat or drink when they would stop by to check on my parents. I felt like they were trying to take care of all of us as we worked together to care for my mother. They also did a great job working with the outside agencies helping my mother. Unfortunately, my mother passed away very quickly due to the advanced nature of her condition. In the immediate aftermath, I was amazed by the way the staff comforted my family. I thought that we had only sent my mother and father to live in this community, but I felt that Whittier Place embraced my entire family – my siblings, my husband and son, my nieces and nephews, and me – into their family at Whittier Place. We were definitely embraced as part of their community. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the care that my parents, especially my mother, received. Knowing that my mother's physical needs were being taken care of so that we could focus on being present with my mother took a tremendous amount of stress off of my family's shoulders. The staff encouraged us to be at Whittier Place pretty much round the clock, and they respected our time as a family as we spent our final days with our mother. They offered us a tremendous amount of grace and flexibility and they walked alongside us on this very difficult journey. My father, who can be difficult to please, repeatedly commented on how clean and attractive the facilities were, and he told me many, many times that the staff were genuinely good people. That is a high compliment coming from my father. The administrative staff was very knowledgeable, kind, informative, flexible, supporting, and caring. When I had concerns or saw a problem, they immediately resolved it. I also felt that the price was reasonable for the level of care. I feel blessed that we found Whittier Place and give it my highest recommendation.

I've had the opportunity of experiencing both of Whittier Place Senior Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care facility as staff and I am happy to have worked there! Both sides of the community have spacious rooms and each have their own big windows, closets and bathroom. Staff was friendly, and answered all of my questions. The kitchen staff is also very welcoming and provide a fast service. The building was maintained colorful and full of live with decorations for the holidays and activities for everyone to participate in. Overall a great place for family!

If you're looking for a place that will care for your elderly parents like you would because you love them, then this is the place. My parents live here together and they are healthier than they have been in a long time. Three meals a day and snacks in between. Medications administered daily and extra care. (Written 7.22.23) My 95 year old father has been in assisted living at Whittier Place since April of 2018. We have had a good experience there overall, but especially lately. The caregivers did an excellent job of keeping the residents healthy and safe during the COVID lockdowns, and they really worked hard during some very trying conditions. However, I would say that the quality has only continued to improve, particularly within the last eight months to a year. In addition to having hired a truly outstanding Activities Director, they have also given her a new and much-needed assistant, and so more and more social activities are happening. These include interactive music events, exercise classes, games, and a variety of regular social activities, which are so important for keeping the residents happy, sharp, and active. I am also very pleased with the other support staff, including the medical personnel and also the various receptionists and caregivers. These people truly take a personal interest in my dad, and this goes a long way toward his happiness there. And when he is happy, I am happy! Josh, the new Executive Director, is really trying to up the game by making strategic improvements and seeking an enhanced experience for the residents and their families. I see good things ahead for Whittier Place under this new Director. He is also making a strong effort to build a solid team, and the morale among the staff, from where I stand, looks better than it ever has been. This will be critical for retaining the excellent staff they have. This is sometimes difficult and challenging work, and I appreciate all that they do.

A client of mine is in their memory care unit, and after speaking with family members who have loved ones at this facility, I've been consistently impressed with the level of care and attention they provide. What's noteworthy is the fairly new administrative staff at Whittier Place, and the existing members of staff that I've had the pleasure to work with. Special mention goes to Amanda, the Activity Director, who goes above and beyond to ensure residents have engaging and fulfilling days. And, of course, Elizabeth in residential sales, whose dedication and commitment to families seeking care solutions is truly commendable. The entire staff, both new and experienced, creates a warm and nurturing environment. Their dedication to the residents is truly heartwarming. Communication is outstanding - they keep families well-informed about their loved ones' well-being and any changes in their condition. It's a tremendous comfort to know their residents are in such capable and caring hands. The facility itself is not only clean but also beautifully updated. It's clear that Whittier Place places a high priority on providing a safe and pleasant living space for their residents. I'm grateful to have found Whittier Place Senior Living, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking a place that genuinely cares for their loved ones.

I have worked at Whittier Place for the last 22 years as a Dining Service Director. It has been a lot of fun to work here, especially when we do events. Our residents really seem to enjoy them. I have worked for Watermark for the last 4 years and I keep learning more everyday from Watermark. I have been given the opportunity to do a lot of the cooking here on a daily basis. I enjoy cooking food that the residents ask me to do. I enjoy working with the team that we have, it is a very good work environment. I would recommend it to anyone that would like to come and work for Watermark Whittier Place Senior Living to come and be part of our team, as well as for the community to come in and try our food when we have events. They had prepared food for the event and they told us it was prepared by their chef - the food was incredible! I met the sales director Nick and the facility director Josh. We moved dad into Whittier Place yesterday. We requested that his TV be installed the first day because that was a priority for him. Maintenance Director, Tony C., got the TV installed properly, but was having difficulty with the DIRECTV. He ended up staying 90 minutes past the end of his shift on the phone with DIRECTV trying to resolve the problem for us. He got the TV working and cleaned the floor below where he was working! We feel like Tony went above and beyond what we could have expected and are so grateful to Tony, and all of the wonderful employees here. .

My mother has been at Whittier Place assisted/independent living for almost five years. Overall Whittier Place has been a very welcoming place for those who live in the community. I have had the opportunity to dine in the dining room and I can say the meals are very healthy and tasty. The residents and staff survived as well as to be expected through the lockdowns and did everything possible to have the residents connect with families. The rooms and facilities are always decorated very tasteful and comfortable. The cleanliness is stellar. It is nice to know the activities are resuming and the opportunity for worship is being restored. My mother is very comfortable at Whittier Place.

My grandma has been living at Whitter Place since May 2021 and it truly has become her new home. After several months researching to find the ideal assisted living facility, our family is so happy we decided on Whitter Place. The staff, including the med techs and caregivers treat my grandma with such good care. They are attentive, professional and care about the comfort of their residents. My grandma enjoys the food choices, the several weekly activities to keep her busy, the comfortable shared spaces to interact with other residents/new friends, and overall the care and love she is receiving. The facility is very clean and staff is quick to work on any requests we may have. It is a hard transition to bring a loved one into a new living space, but Whitter Place has done everything to make this my grandma's new home and that has helped ease so much worry and stress for our family. Whittier Place has been home to my mother for almost 4 years. She entered after falling and having a spine compression fracture where she needed the daily help with meals, cleaning and laundry. About two years later she had heart surgery and her needs increased dramatically where she needed additional help getting in and out of bed, toileting and getting to the dining room for meals. Now she is in hospice where she can do nothing for herself and the staff take care of all her daily needs. During this process the Whittier Place team of supervisors, caregivers, medication technicians, dietary staff and even front desk receptionists have provided the expertise, teamwork and loving environment that both she and the family has needed. We have found EVERYONE to be caring, full of integrity, experts on the care of the elderly, and so willing to increase my mothers care as her needs have increased. Communication has been outstanding between the Whittier Place supervisory staff, ourselves and the day to day caregivers. We could not ask for a better place for our mother to be, and for that we are very thankful.
