Our 89 yr old aunt reluctantly moved from her home in CT to Whisper Woods in June to be close to her family. My cousin and I toured many assisted living facility and choose WW. We were nervous about the move, but it has been the best thing for our Aunt and our family. Our Aunt loves WW; she has made friends, enjoys her apartment and is greatful for the aides, nurses, maintenance folks, therapists, salon and she LOVES the food. As her family we are beyond please with WW staff, her care plan, the attention and emotional support she receives. The staff at WW generally cares for the residents. You can feel the warmth and care whenever you speak to any staff member. Shout out to Mary who gave us the tour and checks in our Aunt and has helped us with any needs to make our Aunts and our life easier. Moving to WW has been THE BEST thing for our Aunt.

Wonderful assisted living facility! Professional and knowledgeable medical care; friendly, compassionate, cheerful staff; clean and up-to-date facility; daily programs for residents. Everything about Whisper Woods exceeds expectations. From the helpful and compassionate administrative staff (Mary and Desire), to NP (Carol) and the ever-ready, efficient staff of nurses to the incredible Luis and his dedicated team of assistants, you could not ask for better care and attention for your loved ones. We moved our parents into Whisper Woods at just the right time. They needed the medical care, supervision and social interaction they provide. This is what you THINK you're getting when you envision Assisted Living, but your loved ones actually receive it at Whisper Woods. If there is any improvement that to be made, the food could be slightly better. Other than that, we have great peace of mind knowing our parents are In the best place possible.

In one word... Wow! Whisper Woods has far exceeded all of our expectations of what an assisted living facility should be like. Moving our mom into an assisted living facility was a very tough decision my brothers and I to make, but we knew it was the best thing for both her safety and mental wellness. She's now out talking and making new friends; not napping the days away. The attention and friendliness of the staff including office management, nurses, aids, housekeeping, reception, dining room staff and maintenance all deserve a round of applause. After close to one month there, our 93 year old mom is safe and well attended to at every level. The facility is clean and from what mom says "the food is very good". It's as close to resort style living as you're going to get without an ocean front view. There are many chapters in all of our lives and every senior citizen should be so lucky to spend their "late life years chapter" at Whisper Woods! Thank you all... Rich, Steve & Gary

My grandparents recently moved into Whisper Woods and I most say Im thouroghly pleased with everything about this facility. From the friendly staff who make you feel like you are family, to the wonderful activities that are offered daily. I couldnt ask for a better place for my grandparents to be. I also want to commend mary as she has wonderful in helping with my grandparents transition into assisted living she is by far a 5 star employee. If you are thinking of sending a love into assisted living look no further then whisper woods

My mom moved into Whisper Woods in February 2020 several weeks before the pandemic changed all of our lives. The professional and loving staff at this amazing facility kept her safe , healthy and well cared for in every way under the most dire of circumstances. Sadly my Mom passed away on 3/1/23 after being in hospice care since November. She passed peacefully with her beloved aides and me by her side. The nurses and aides worked with the hospice staff to keep her clean, comfortable and pain free in the final months of her life. I could write for hours and never fully express the gratitude in my heart for all they did. So I’ll just say thank you to our Whisper Woods family and may God’s blessings touch you all.

A Wonderful Extended Family!! It isn't an easy decision to make when it comes time to look for alternative living and care arrangements for parents, but we made the exact right choice in Whisper Woods of Smithtown. We couldn't' have asked for a more wonderfully dedicated, compassionate and amazing community of care givers. I have seen everyone go so above and beyond for the residents; treating our parents, and we children, like family. From the front desk to the medical staff, dining and maintenance crews, support staff and administrators, there isn't a day that goes by in which someone doesn't make a significant difference in our and our parents' lives; be it a cheerful greeting, loving medical care, great food and service, help with daily household needs, fun activities, an entertaining dance or arranging for special circumstances and needs. Our family has grown tremendously because we now consider each and every employee a coveted member. Our thanks to everyone at Whisper Woods!

As loved ones are left in the hands and care of others it leaves a family with worry and apprehension. My family went through the whole cycle of reading reviews, visiting facilities, talking with many people to find the best place for our mom who was suffering from Alzheimer’s. This care was so important to us as my mom did not have a voice. She could not say what she needed, what she wanted or if she was in pain. We originally tried other facilities which were extremely disappointing. When we removed her from those facilities it was when we found Whisper Woods. This was a blessing for our family as we were now able to sleep at night knowing that my mom was in the best care possible. Trudyan is an exceptional leader and her team is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, gentle and loving. The entire staff always went above and beyond to make sure that my mom maintained her dignity throughout her journey. Words are not enough to express my families gratitude to the entire staff. If you are struggling with this decision and feeling the guilt and uncertainty please know that this comes from our hearts as we were comforted in knowing that my mom was truly safe and well cared for. Thank you Whisperwoods for everything from beginning to the end that you have done for our family and for our mom. We are profoundly grateful .

My Mom moved into Whisper Woods when they first opened, and our family can say without reservation that Whisper Woods is a first-class community. The leadership and staff are super and do a wonderful job of caring for the residents. I highly recommend Whisper Woods for any family who wants their relative to live in a clean, well-maintained facility with a great staff.

We moved my parents into Whisper Woods of Smithtown shortly after they opened, and it was the best decision we made. The staff at Whisper very quickly became an extension of our family and my parents became an extension of theirs. The care my parents were given was exceptional and unwavering. Each and every employee was an intricate part of their care and they made it a point to know my parents, and us as well. We lost my mom in January, 2021 and that was very difficult for my dad, as they were married 67 years. Although he was now without my mother he was never alone. The staff was always stopping in to check on him. This past year my dad quickly declined but the staff did not miss a beat. My dad was 100% dependent on the staff for everything and they always treated him with the upmost respect, dignity and compassion. The morning we got the call that my dad was not doing well I headed right there. When I walked into his room there were 3 aids with him. They were holding his hands, rubbing his legs and just talking and comforting him until we could get there. That is dedication and compassion at its finest. Throughout the day the staff would stop in to check on him, and us, and to say their goodbye’s. There was such an outpouring of love and support, and for that we are forever grateful! The Egan family thanks and applauds each and every employee at Whisper Woods. Thank you for all you have done for our parents.

Mom has been a resident since early February and I am both proud, and lucky this is where she calls home. The staff go above and beyond in everything they do. I worked at a job that had me in and out of facilities for years and there are many places that have earned poor reputations. I am so glad we found people who take such pride in their work. Every time I am there I notice how clean everything is, the facility is but 4 years old so it makes sense that it still looks as if it just opened. Mom raves about the food and loves the activities they provide. On a daily basis she can find up to 8 different group activities. Truth is I never thought she would participate, but not a day goes by where she does not get involved in something they have to offer. After visiting and doing research on so many places, I can honestly say they are truly the best assisted living facility on Long Island!!!

depends on the staff member, depends on the day... Some are wonderful and priceless, and some could care less and downright rude .... Communication leaves a lot to be desired and using the excuse of staffing due to covid is worn out. Sadly - not many choices and this is as good as it gets.

My sister and I agonized over what to do with my father. His health had declined so badly that she and I were taking care of him around the clock. We felt guilty about even thinking about putting him somewhere... he was our dad. When the strain on our lives became too much, we started looking at places. While they were all much different than we anticipated, Whisper Woods stood out from the rest. It was new, and it was clean, and it was obvious that the staff cared. My dads been at Whisper Woods since the end of January, and he and my family are thrilled. Everybody who comes to visit is impressed with how nice it is, and nobody fails to comment on how terrific the staff is. They are respectful of the residents, their guests, and each other. They work as a team to get the job of running my dads new home as smoothly as possible. The only regret we have is that we waited so long. Whisper Woods is the only place good enough for our dad.

Me and my friend alex came for an interview with executive director Desiree Baker. Although she did decided to choose a difffent canidate I am honestly thrilled to learn so much about the facility. The place looks amazing and is super clean. When we arrived the front desk staff greeted us during open house. My parents have been in Whisper Woods assisted living for 2 months. Mom needs special care and it has been excellent. I especially love the kindness, gentleness and love given to her by Crystal Rivera, Annie Ejindu, Lournie Benjamin and Trudyan Rose. Whisper Woods is lucky to have these wonderful women!!!!
