I had the pleasure of visiting CareOne in Sharon as a guest speaker, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley McLean. From the moment I arrived, Ashley was incredibly professional, kind, and courteous, making me feel welcomed. What stood out most was her genuine compassion and dedication to the residents. It was clear that Ashley is deeply passionate about her role and truly cares about creating meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable experiences for everyone in the CareOne community. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and her positive energy shines through in everything she does. Ashley goes above and beyond to ensure residents feel connected, entertained, and cared for. Watching her interact with residents and staff demonstrated not only her professionalism but also her heartfelt commitment to enriching the lives of those around her. The community at CareOne in Sharon is a very beautiful location with many amenities and welcoming and helpful staff. The facility is very clean, thorough and providing. I am here for respite assisted living. From the moment I first made contact and rolled through the door I have been overwhelmed by the positive atmosphere. That has made my recovery journey a pleasant and hopeful experience. My apartment had a fresh. clean look and came fully furnished so I didn’t have to provide myself. The administration and staff are totally trying to be on their game at all times! And the food it is consistently great. Everyday there are two basic offerings for the meal but there is always a full side menu that can be ordered from. I say KUDUS to Cindi and Carlos. This community is presented as a social community and great effort is made everyday to meet that goal! KUDUS to Ashley and Sean! Without reservations I totally recommend this place.,. As an enrichment provider I had the pleasure of playing music for this assisted living community. My 5 stars are for Ashley McLean the Program Director, she is a pleasure, upbeat, professional and most of all so very caring. The environment I played piano in was welcoming and she created a comfortable space for the residents and visitors to spend a Sunday afternoon together. The residents were encouraged to engage in the musical program and they sang along while creating new memories.

I’m volunteer at Careone through Volunteering for Senior citizens at least once a month. The communication to coordinate/ schedule events have been very smooth. I can’t say enough positive things about CareOne at Sharon. What truly sets this community apart is not only the care they provide to residents, but also how much they give back to the surrounding community. They regularly host dementia workshops and educational experiences in Sharon, which are incredibly valuable. It’s wonderful to see that they open these opportunities to the public”even for those who don’t currently have a loved one living there. Their Dementia Specialist, is certified in the Positive Approach to Care, and her passion and expertise really shine through in everything she does. The programming offered is thoughtful and diverse, making a genuine effort to accommodate different interests and abilities. The staff overall are warm, friendly, and always welcoming, creating a very positive environment. It’s a beautiful place, and it’s lovely to see how many events they offer”not just for residents, but for families and the community as a whole.

Mom moved to Sharon Care One from a different facility. Every staff person we spoke with in Sharon listened to and addressed all of our concerns and needs. One major concern was if they could provide a gluten free diet (medical condition, not a choice). Admin and the Culinary staff met with us several times to assure us they could accommodate mom's diet. They have gone above and beyond; Mom is enjoying all of her meals with the confidence staff understands her diet and the meals are gluten free. Having a Dementia specialist on staff has helped mom with the transition and has also helped me to understand how the dementia is affecting my mom in the moment. Mom is socializing more which makes a big difference in her day to day living. I am so grateful for all of the staff at Care One in Sharon!

Being a state away from my mother and father, Ashley has always kept us informed on how they are, and always tends to their needs!! She is compassionate and caring and so fun! I can tell she truly loves the residents at Care One, and I know if I needed her in a flash she would be at their door. She has been there for my mom and dad through tears and laughter and I just love her. She is the real deal and always goes the extra mile for pretty much everyone. If your thinking of Care One, the entire staff there really do care about the residents. The dining room staff, cooks, maintenance, cleaners, activities staff, and guests that come to entertain are pretty much all amazing. But my Bright Star goes to Ashley. My Name is Nicole Garcia. My dog Suki and I have been visiting senior facilities since 2019. Providing some familiar songs and puppy love for residents Our first point of contact, in beginning relationships with these communities, is almost always the activity directors. One that sticks out to us, is for sure, Ashley McLean! We have known her for quite some time now and I can only find helpful, clear, efficient, kind, warm and loving feelings when I think of her. Not only has she helped Suki and I to bridge into long lasting experiences with the residents at CareOne Sharon, but my daughter also worked for her there. My kiddo is a bit shy and has a hard time in social settings. She was very reluctant to put herself into a work setting and be required to stand in front of a room full of adults and do something likerun a bingo game. The thought, to her, was impossible. Well, it was not the case. It was not impossible. Not when she had someone accepting her, guiding and encouraging her exactly for who she was. My daughter got to experience having an amazing boss and human being by her side for her first work experience. It changed the course of how she was able to see opportunities for herself moving forward in her life. One person can make ALL the difference in someone’s life. CareOne has such a comfortable and homey atmosphere. The activities and events keep everyone engaged and socializing which is important for the residents. The set up of the dining room gives both a restaurant and home feel where the residents are not held to scheduled meal times but for what works for them, with a list of food options that support cultural and health needs. The staff is a great resource in supporting our family member when we can’t be there. It’s a relief to find a place that cares for its residents and helps them maintain their independence.

My company LOL ENTERTAINMENT performs frequently at Careone so we see things from a different perspective than visitors - I’m very cognizant of the conditions of assisted living as my parents were both living in one - Careone is clean, friendly, really cares about the well being of their residents. This place seemed very promising at first but things changed and it became apparent they weren't being truthful to us when we sent my mother here. Nursing doesn't assess anything, apparently they're not allowed to check blood pressure when my mother was complaining of feeling faint one day. They say they offer "in-home therapy" and would be able to start right away but it's a contract rehab group with hardly any staff and ended up having to wait almost 3 months for my mom to start. Some aides are friendly and helpful while others are quite incompetent. Everyone is friendly and the place is always clean but I wish they were honest about their services from the start.

My parent has been here 4+ years, and while there are positives it’s not what it was. There are some genuinely caring & exceptional staff, but high turnover among aides & administrators is a consistent challenge.This is hard for my parent, who has dementia & thrives on familiarity. While many aides try their best, tasks like medication reminders, personal care, food reminders, housekeeping, & walking assistance are sometimes overlooked, resulting in gaps in care plans, and my parent has also had preventable falls, raising concerns about oversight & care quality. Activities are repetitive, uninspired, and fail to keep residents active & engaged. The facility itself is clean, modern & appealing.The food tastes good but lacks variety & healthier options. Management is open to feedback, and care improves temporarily after discussions, but issues often resurface. In summary, it has potential but struggles with consistency. It may work for families who can regularly oversee and advocate, but it falls short of delivering high-quality, reliable care residents deserve.

My mom has now been a resident at CareOne-Sharon for six weeks. She was reluctant to move into an assisted living facility, but she has adjusted so well and enjoys and takes part in many of the activities offered each and every day! We couldn’t be happier for her. The facility itself is beautiful and well taken care of. That being said her adjusting well and feeling very welcome is all due to the incredible staff at CareOne-Sharon. The first person we had contact with was Allison Karsay, Marketing Director. She did an incredible job taking time over multiple visits helping us understand what living in an assisted living facility is like and familiarized us with this facility. She takes each new resident and their families under her wing to help them through the adjustment of living in their new home. Another vital part of this facility is the activities offered each and every day. After touring other ALFs, CareOne-Sharon has some of the best activities offered to their residents. Something for everyone! Ashley McLean, Director of Recreation, is so kind with all the residents. Ashley and her staff often go knocking on doors to invite the residents to join them in the activities of the day. Rachel Ruprecht is another staff member at CareOne; she’s got a handle on everything happening at CareOne. She knows all the residents by name and who their family members are! If that doesn’t make you feel welcome when you walk in the door, I don’t know what will! If you have a question Rachel usually knows the answer and she always knows the right person that can help you. Sheilah Doran, Nursing, was very helpful and supportive when we needed to iron a few things out with my mom’s personal care. She was always very responsive and addressed and resolved our concerns. The PCAs providing the daily care for the residence are friendly, upbeat and always on call. We have had interactions with several other staff members here and each and every one of them from office staff, maintenance, and the staff in the dining room have been great! One last thing, according to my mom the food is excellent! You can get a big meal or just a cup of soup or sandwich. The dining room staff is always kind, friendly, and accommodating to the residents! As I mentioned earlier in my review, we visited many other ALF facilities. They all said the same thing Just because you are aging doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue to enjoy and live your best life! and my mom is doing just that!

CareOne is a wonderful place and environment. My experience with having an event there to tell everyone regarding my campaign for Select Board in Sharon was fun and enjoyable and totally seamless. I have to praise especially Ashley McLean, Program Director for coordinating it all. Also, I felt so welcomed and received when I first contacted Allison Karsay, Director of Marketing at CareOne regarding planning the event. On the day of the event, my campaign team arrived, with donuts and pastries, campaign signs and informational cards, and we were guided to where to set up for our musical event. Our Pianist - Chris Taylor -- arrived and thought the room was just the right size for the acoustics. There was a microphone and speaker system that worked flawlessly. The CareOne staff made sure that especially the residents with mobility issues were able to attend. It was a musical event with a presentation, but the questions asked and active participation by the residents turned it into more of a discussion than a presentation. The reception we received and all the residents were wonderful! Care One is definitely a valuable asset for our Town of Sharon! Thanks so much to all at Care One! We placed our 86 year old mom who suffers from vascular dementia into this wonderful facility late December, 2023. It was a pleasant experience from the start. Allison the marketing director was pleasant, she was happy to give us a tour of the facility, and she answered all of our questions (and we had many). The facility itself is lovely, clean, and bright. This was very important to us because we wanted our mom in a positive environment with good energy. The staff is wonderful from the aids to the activities ladies to the nurses, and they all encourage residents to participate in the daily activities. Keeping dementia patients engaged is hard and they do a great job of it! I am there a lot visiting with my mom, so I see how the staff interacts with the residents, and I am happy to say that my mom is getting a high level of care at Care One. No longer do I constantly worry about our mom not being safe or being alone. This facility should be at the top of your list if you're considering placing your parent/parents into an assisted living community.

An Amazing experience getting mom into an Assisted Living place! We did a few tours in many different places in December and January. CareOne felt like home to my mother. A lot of friendly interaction between staff and residents and also between residents themselves. Allison, Amy and Samantha is a top notch team that helped and facilitated to get all forms filled out to get her moved in within 2 weeks. My mom was greeted as we arrived in the moving truck ( a big hoopla with staff and some residents) and she was escorted around doing things as I moved her in. I didn’t see her the whole time. I live out of state so I don't visit often but I've been impressed every time I've come to visit. My mom is always in high spirits and living her best life. She especially loves the new happy hour that they've been having lately!
