What can be a difficult and life changing decision for an aging parent was made much easier by the experienced staff and extended caregivers at the Mill Hill Residences. From the moment we stepped through the doors my mother was welcomed and cared for with a kind and compassionate heart. The assistance with all of the paperwork and logistics were handled flawlessly. The coordination of ancillary health care professionals especially during the past couple of years was done without sacrificing patient care, while respecting the wishes of the family and retaining the dignity of my mother. i have and will continue to recommend The Mill, for others facing the need to find appropriate care for their aging loved ones.

This is a very special community. The building is beautifully designed and easy for those with memory impairment to navigate. Because of it's smaller size, it truly does become a close family, between residents, their family, and the associates. The team goes above and beyond, and it's evident in the love they show to the residents they serve.

Watching the staff interact with my mom and other residents at Mill Hill gives me such comfort and confidence that my mom is living at the best location she could be. My mom's one room apartment is located on the second floor, which is the Tides level of care. She's been a resident since Jan 2021. The Activities director and associates use humor and warmth to engage my mom and other residents in the daily range of activities, which is key to her enjoyment of living at Mill Hill. I've joined in on some activities when visiting, and am impressed with residents who choose to work 2 bingo cards and help their neighbors. My mom and the friends she's made enjoy the chair exercise class each morning which I've also joined when visiting, and they all enjoy the special celebrations with music and food for all sorts of interesting holidays. The weekly Mill Hill van outings are fun and safe and my mom enjoys getting out and about to see different spots on the Cape with her Mill Hill friends. There is a daily post lunch walk, outside on the paved nature path when weather permits, or inside.The building itself is new and fresh and has a great floorpan so there are many sitting areas and places to stroll to after lunch, or with her friends without getting lost. The wellness staff is gentle and helpful with administering daily medications. There is a visiting dentist and podiatrist and doctor/RN who come to Mill Hill regularly and my mom takes advantage of the regular dental care, foot care, and regular wellness visits. The Mill Hill salon is another convenience and my mom gets regular haircuts. There is weekly housecleaning of her apartment and all her laundry is taken care of. The Executive Director is excellent with her communication to the families, sending group email updates to keep us informed about upcoming holiday arrangements, flu/Covid shot clinics, and any info we need to know. My brother and I feel very fortunate that our mom is part of the caring Mill Hill Community.

Having to move your family member into an Assisted Living location is not an easy decision. Mill Hill was not the first place we brought our Dad - the first location was a beautiful spot - but terrible service and care - and we were constantly getting increases and new fees. It was all about the money there. Mill Hill was an amazing move for my Dad - everyone cared for him, like a family member. It made the tough transition so much easier for us. Money was barely discussed and no hidden fees and increases like we experienced before. If you are in the process of looking for a location for your loved one, Mill Hill is the place. Best of luck in your move.

My brothers and our entire extended family have been so grateful to have Mill Hills help in caring for our beautiful mother. She has been treated with dignity, grace, and love since the moment of her arrival - and we have too. The staff members - from the front desks to the kitchen staff - have been wonderful in doing all they can to keep her safe, healthy and happy. They are all so impressive. Communication has been excellent, particularly with regard to COVID. We can count on our questions being responded to quickly and compassionately. And when we walk in the door, even just to drop something off, we are always welcomed as family. Alzheimers is a devastating disease, but with the support of everyone at Mill Hill, our mum and our family members are all getting wonderful care and support.

My sister and I are extraordinarily particular about the care of our father, as most people are about their loved ones. We moved him to the Mill Hill Residence from a beautiful memory care facility in Plymouth in the hopes of providing him with greater care. Hes been a resident here for a couple of years now and we couldnt be more grateful. In writing this review I was reminded of all the anxiety and struggles associated with making sure he was given the best care. I can truthfully say the kindness, attention and care he receives is what we hoped for and expected and is a direct result of the capable staff at Mill Hill. We were fortunate to find this community and appreciate all the hard work from the front office (Joanna in particular), the experienced nurses, RAs, dining staff, housekeeping and maintenance. This past year has been unprecedented, and the valiant efforts made by the staff to keep residents safe and well while staying in constant communication with family members was extraordinary.

Mill Hill Residence is an amazing facility.The care and kindness that was given to my mother was outstanding.Every resident is treated with dignity, understanding and respect.The activities provided are geared to enhance the residences daily needs.From Virtual Reality tours to Book Clubs and daily Walk Abouts there is something for everyone.Ones daily meals are in factgourmet dining experiences overseen by amazing chefs and wait staff.There is an onsite hair salon and many programs that are offered concierge style ie. Doctors, Dentist, Podiatrist, etc.Guest speakers and entertainment as well as exercise classes are a daily occurrence.Mill Hill is not just a facility but a home.The nursing staff and resident aids go above and beyond.The support and compassion that was provided to my mom as she entered her lifesend was appreciated so much by my husband and I.Not only do we miss her but her caregivers as well.They became a part of our extended family.Thank you so much Mill Hill Residence for everything you did.You will always have a special place in our hearts!

Mill Hill has the best caring staff from the most experience activities director☝ and her staff, ⭐excellent caring nurses, most caring RAs , housekeeping, culinary dining staff, front lobby staff, Floor Director Joan and a very caring director Joanna and marketing person Pam.Our mom is so happy everyone knows her name and always comes up and interacts with her. Her apartment we were able to make it just like her home with all her favorite items.The activities director Suzie is unbelievable with her interactions not just with our mom but all the Residence. She knows how to get the the residence all involved with her and the great activities. Suzie is the best with Nancy and Suzies other staff members. Suzie you are on all day and your energy spills over to making a huge difference in our moms daily life.To the director of nursing and all shifts for nursing thank you ! You make a huge difference for the residence and our mom plus you assist us family members to understand all areas of careThe entire Nursing Staff is so approachable and want to understand our needs to assist our mom. They always come in her apartment with a smile and interacts asking how she is. Thank you and much appreciation to all the nurses.The RAs and I mean all the RAs are very special people they are so interactive with our mom and always makes her happy when they assist her. It would be a hard to mention all by name because they all play such a special role. You make the biggest difference RAs to help make the residence feel so safe.You are the back bone and our families eyes when we are not their so thank you so much !Tootie the director of culinary does a excellent job . The dining area looks like a restaurant. Tootsie and her staff are very approachable very social with all the residence. They know the residence by name and I find my mom going and talking to them at the counter. The food is a 5 ⭐ .All front lobby staff when you first come into the lobby you are the greeters with a smile and assist us as family member to navigate and ask all questions and what to do ! Thank you for all you do!Pam Director of Marketing and Joanna Director were the first we meant and toured us and continue to be very approachable and caring thank you ! Our mom knows you and you always make her day !Thank you all for what you do every day you all make a difference in the residence life ! Please know you all are very appreciated!

Our mother moved in on Sunday after a few visits to pick out her apartment...and she is so pleased to be here. As I left today, after joining her for a delicious lunch, some time showing her how to use the public computer and a relaxing visit outside on the upstairs sun deck, I recalled her initial resistance to moving and especially to moving from a one-bedroom at Thirwood to a studio. Thats long gone and she feels fortunate to be in such a beautiful new facility with friendly professionals on the staff. My sister was resistant, too. Theyve both said thank you more than once in the past week. I cant say enough about the process of viewing apartments and considering this move. The Mill Hill team is tops!
