Too much theft and neglect and abuse in this facility.I would not recommend, it's overpriced and may sell you like.It's a really great facility.But the food is not edible, and the care is subpar at best. Hello, I recently visited Belmar in hopes of finding my love one a great facility that would feel similar to home for them. I was impressed by their commitment to going the extra mile. Also the staff was very welcoming everyone had a smile on their face and spoke, which is always a bonus. The marketing manager Kelly was very professional and also very personable. I was pleased with my visit and believe I may have found the best fit.

This place was beautiful. I was pleased at the overall physucal look of the facility. It appeared well organized and very clean. Tyra was very nice and had bathed, shaved, fed, and cut my father's nails . At the other facilities I brought in my own "kit" to shave and cut my father's nails. I introduced myself to the nursing staff and had a very enjoyable conversation with them. They answered all of my questions regarding my father's care. On my first visit, I stayed in my father's room for @ 2 hours. Tyra came by the room several times to check on him. The BEST of the best in the business! My father has lived in many AFC group homes and other assisted living facilities over the past 15 years. Nowhere else has ever compared to the care he received at Belmar. The staff is AMAZING... patient, efficient, and professional. I only wish they accepted Medicaid!

Very clean and inviting temporary hospice center. Newly opened. My uncle says the care is far better than the previous hospice company. Nurse and staff are very nice. Highly recommend is you're looking for care of any ailing loved one.

From the minute I walked in the door I was impressed. It was very clean, calming. Once my mother got there the staff was very attentive made her very comfortable and fully aware of everything available to her. They made our family very comfortable and I feel confident and at peace with her being there. As does she.

First visit. My mother had just arrived earlier that day. She was sleeping. Looked comfortable. The room was very nice. Clean, spacious with lots of furniture for visitors. The staff was very friendly and asked a lot of questions to help clarify my mother's needs. I think she'll do okay there.

Belmar Oakland has been outstanding and goes above and beyond what expected. I am so happy that we have made this moms forever home its never easy putting your loved one in a community but Belmar Oakland has made everything just perfect! I highly recommend this facility for anyone that is looking for a place for there loved one.

The care for my loved one at Belmar has been nothing short of spectacular! Catie, Dina, and the rest of the staff is so loving towards my Dad, he has thrived at Belmar and absolutely loves it there.I would be doing a disservice to this review if I didnt mention Tracey, the Executive Director. Tracey is also a registered nurse and her expertise about my Dads medications, therapy, day-to-day personal care and general wellbeing have made the transition so much easier for him. Dad and I were a bit skeptical (he had never lived in an assisted living prior to this) at first, then we sat down and spoke to several staff members and quickly felt that this was the right enviornment for him. He enjoys everything about Belmar including the food, the cleanliness, the staff, and especially the socialization with visitors and other residents.Tracey, please pass along my review to all of your co-workers, they truly have earned therespect of my father which is not an easy thing to do!Thank you

This place is fantastic. They take such good care of my mom. My mom did not want to leave her home but she could not live by herself anymore. I found this place and couldnt be more grateful that I did. I know shes safe. Shes made friends and is actually living a much happier life. The staff is top notch. They help my mom out and make sure she gets everything she needs and more.

The staff know exactly what they are doing and go the extra mile to do what needs to be done and make sure the families are happy and know there loved one is in great hands, I cant say enough good things about this community from all the activitys they can do, bus outings, live entertainment, gardening, arts and crafts,bingo and so much more to keep mom and dad busy!

As a physically handicapped memory care patient my husband has urgent and very specific needs. Despite being in a well known Bloomfield area facility, which looked beautiful but offered only the worst kind of care, I transferred him to Belmar. I immediately began a list of the ways in which this facility was superior to the previous one. In just two weeks I had a list of 26 items that were major improvements in my husbands life.( Examples include: medications on time, daily linen changes, clean floors, a delicious diabetic diet, actual help with toileting, teeth brushing, etc.) I was physically unable to manage but wanted the best possible care for him, not smoke, mirrors and false promises. He is now receiving it thanks to Belmars effective administrators and the warm, sincere and well trained staff. He is comfortable, content and I can sleep at night without worry!

After our elderly aunt had been in four different Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills facilities, over a six year period, we finally took her to BelMar. This is the place she finally called HOME because of the attentive care she received from the staff members. She loved the entertaining activities (summer luau, Halloween petting zoo, holiday parties, and bingo) which she attended with several other residents who had befriended her. The Care Team provided her hospice support that brought her comfort and love until she left us in early 2020. She often told us that those months were the happiest of her retirement life. We are so grateful to you all.

I have been a resident at B elmer ( previously Windermere) for over 3 years.Needless to say I have enjoyed my stay. The woodland location is very restful, the food is great and the activities are fun. I would recommend this place and give it a 5 Star rating.

It is with great pride that I write an extremely positive and proud review about Belmar Oakland, where I have been employed as Activity Director the past 6 months. I have been leading activities at various senior communities for the past 15 years and NEVER have I worked in a community like Belmar. Belmar has three independent communities (Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Hospice) that run together impeccably. I have never worked for a community that is diligent about meeting and exceeding all the residents needs; setting the expectation level of the staff to the highest; having quality dining, entertainment, and trips out for residents that they can enjoy with their family or friends and soo much moreI love working in a community where everyone calls me by my name. I feel worthy that my director trusts me to do a good job. I feel proud to be able to tell people where I work and what all we have to offer. I remember when I got my activities director license that I got attached to the saying my mission was to help people die living. At Belmar I am blessed to be able to say I do that. Thank you!!

Thank you Belmar Oakland for all that you have done for me and my wife! I thank the lord everyday that I crossed paths with this community, they truly do go above and beyond. I was unable to take care of my wife so they brought her to Belmar to take care of her until I was cleared from the hospital (this all happen the night before thanksgiving when Catie and Tracey came to pick up my wife at 8:00pm from Beaumont royal oak so she could get the proper care she needed instead of camping out in the hospital while I was recovering they are my saving grace) to come to Belmar to stay and house with her, this has truly become our new home all staff are happy and very helpful.Thank you again
