My grandma has been at Oakmont for a few years now and really has made it her home. Tracy and Ruth at the front desk are always so sweet and willing to help, Ann and Philip the bus driver are wonderful, and there are many others- I used to work at an assisted living facility and the people who work at Oakmont in Novato truly care and always seem to try their best to make their residents happy. On top of that my grandmother has made some great friends there so I have even more ladies to say hi to every time I visit with my son!

My dad has been in Memory Care at Oakmont for about a month now. Management and staff have been wonderful helping us navigate this new and unnerving time of our dad’s life. He is in good hands!

We can’t say enough about Oakmont Novato. I would recommend it to anyone who wants their loved one cared for in beautiful surroundings with truly exceptional support. We felt completely surrounded by angels who made sure my Mom felt loved every step of the way. Scott was compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring”we truly felt she was welcomed and had a home there, and they delivered on that promise and more. We especially want to acknowledge Mildred, who cared for our Mother as if she were her own. She even attended my Mom’s funeral service, and we made sure she sat with our family because that’s exactly what she became to us. The food is restaurant quality, with menus presented in leather-bound books, and the ambiance throughout the community is amazing. Without hesitation, I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Navigating the world of assisted living is a very difficult experience. Working with Liza has made taking the next steps in my mom's life more comfortable. Liza really listened to our concerns and took the time to carefully help us through the process. We were so very grateful to have Liza in our corner so knowledgeable and empathetic. She has been incredible to work with and when I email or call her she always gets right back to us. Thank you Liza for going above & beyond to help us and we appreciate how much you truly care.

First of all, I want to thank Liza for making what we thought was going to be a terrifying experience a positive, and dare I say happy experience in a new chapter for mom. She showed amazing passion, expertise, and compassion in her guidance as she helped us chose the best plan our mom. The facility is beautiful and has amazing amenities but Liza was the deciding factor! Thank you!

This facility may be new and beautiful, but it is deeply troubled stemming from a lack of leadership, frequent management turn-over, a lack of staff training and temporary staff that hasn't been fully vetted. Fall monitors were not functional, nor were the emergency pendants until 10 months after the facility opened. As of this date - March 23, 2022, the state has sited their memory care unit with 12 type A citations, which are the most serious, and 19 type B citations. Now they are applying for a new license, which will remove all prior citations, and consumers won't see a 3 year history of all citations unless they officially request a report from the CDSS (California Department of Social Services) My family was afraid for my mother's safety every single day she was there.

What a lovely facility and staff. A special thank you to Liza for the time she took listening to our concerns and making a new chapter in life feel a lot less scary. We never are really prepared to consider our loved ones needing more than what we can provide. So thank you again for helping us shed guilt, fear and all those emotions that held us back from choosing what is safe. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you also for the goodies.

Oakmont of Novato went above and beyond welcoming us into their establishment. We had a thorough and very well thought out tour followed by a mouthwatering offering of top notch appetizers and beverages all beautifully arranged in the lounge. Not to mention we each received a Thank you gift bag filled with delicious Oakmont-made biscuits and pineapple chutney. A special thanks to Liza and her great staff! We hope to return again soon. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the new location is, and how wonderful Vanessa and Melon are to work with. There are so many factors families weigh when figuring out the right time and place for their loved one to move to a residential care community. Vanessa has a wealth of knowledge in this area, and over several months provided a ton of guidance on all aspects of this transition - she was totally patient and always accessible. The new facility feels like a high-end Wine Country resort - lots of natural light with walls of glass opening to the beautiful gardens - just really well put together. Great job on both caliber of the team and quality of the new community.

Wonderful facility in a good location! Large rooms, high ceilings, lots of big windows provide more space & light than competing communities. Tour was thoroughly informative - Vanessa is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind & friendly. When it's time, here we come!
