We recently celebrated her birthday there, and Spring Arbor graciously allowed us to use their social room so our family could gather together in a private space. It made her day so special to be surrounded by the people she loves. While the room was a little warm, it was clean, comfortable, and perfect for bringing everyone together. My mom had been at SA for 5 years. Nothing is perfect but since they hired a new Director and RN coordinator (not sure of the title for the RN) things have been much better. Results to requests are more immediately taken care of. Also, shout out to the activity coordinator, Mary. Mom says she is always so patient and willing especially with one on one interaction. Absolutely would recommend to anyone thinking this move. Lots of love given to the residents too!

Every time I go into Spring Arbor it is always so pleasant. It does not have the over of a nursing home. Everybody, the staff and the boats who stay in the nursing home are so friendly. Julie is always around and is ready to help in anyway that she can. She is very cautious about the safety of her folks. Julie and her staff were all top-notch.

Spring Arbor Senior Living staff and tenants joined us at Lenoir County Council On Aging June 15th, for the Elder Abuse Awareness Walk. The tenants were very excited to walk. The staff kept asking them if they needed a ride during the walk and everyone kept saying no, I'm walking. Very nice and caring staff. Kenneth, the Medical Technician, is kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. From the Environment staff cleaning the building,Dietary Staff,Nursing Assistants and Cythina the receptionist warm smiles greets you upon entering the facility. I was well pleased with my sister living at Spring Arbor. The staff treated her with care and friendliness. She like the programs that they offered. Even though. Her latter days. She couldn't participate, due to Parkinson. On her better days, she enjoyed the outings with the other patients. She would have liked more variety in the meals. Too often having the same menu for lunch and dinner. All in all, it was a lovely assistant living facility. I would recommend it to anyone, wanting to no longer reside in their family home or weren't able to live alone.

I have lived at Spring Arbor Kinston for over 6 years. I love living here, the staff is very helpful, friendly, and kind. I love the activities like Bingo and playing trivia. We have a lot of fun going on outings to all kind of different places to eat and experience new things. I especially enjoyed the outing to the Bird Dawgs baseball game. We have an awesome therapy department and I enjoy riding the NuStep bike every day. The food is pretty good here and I like that there is a variety and we get to choose what we want to eat. I feel like I am able to minister here to residents, staff, and visitors and that is important to me.

This is the best place I have ever been because of the concern of everyone about all of the residents and other staff members. Everyone is kindhearted and so professional. I could not be happier. The residents always come first here, everything else second and third. I am amazed at the number of people that live here and how you all manage everything...from something as simple as going to the store for goodies to getting someone to the hospital for help when they need it. When my mom needed memory care, I visited many facilities trying to find the best fit for her. The minute I walked in the door at Spring Arbor of Kinston, I felt such a sense of peace! All of the staff members in Kinston made a difficult process seamless. The administrators, receptionists, nurses and each of the caregivers were so knowledgeable, kind, professional and attentive. We've had our father at Spring Arbor for a few months now. The Admissions team was phenomenal. Everything was explained in its entirety. No question was too difficult. On top of all that, the setting is great for any elderly individual. Enough space to sit and think. And, enough social activities inside and outside that there's never a dull moment. Spring Arbor (Kinston) really saved my family. Our dad's dementia was/is progressing along with my mom's mobility issues due to neuropathy and they needed care we could not provide ourselves. We were originally a bit hesitant about the location as it's 90 minutes from our hometown, but we really lucked out. The staff and residents couldn't be nicer or more welcoming. Walking the halls it's all smiles which is beyond comforting....Also I hear the food is really tasty! 🙂

We recently placed our mother in the memory care unit (The Cottage) at Spring Arbor of Kinston. The process of getting her placed was nearly seamless due to the hard work and dedication of the staff there. I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful community. Our mom is safe and now has the 24/7 care she needs and the interaction with others she desperately longed for before moving in.

A few months ago, my siblings and I were faced with the very difficult decision to place our mother in a memory care facility as she was beginning to try to leave her home and go find her parents and other people who passed more than 40 years ago. We recognized that she was needing 24 hour care and were not in a position to provide that in her home. After one visit to Spring Arbor of Kinston, we had complete peace about placing our mother there. Walking through the front doors, I had an overwhelming sense of peace. The employees, as well as some of the assisted living residents greeted us with a smile. After touring the memory cottage, we felt this was the place our mother needed to be for her safety and continued care. There are no adequate words to express how pleased we have been with her care. The staff genuinely loves the residents and we have seen nothing but the utmost quality of care Mom. She is getting regular baths and even gets her hair done on Wednesdays! We are so thankful for Spring Arbor and the feeling of knowing our mom is safe and well taken care of.

They have had a lot of change over, but the consistent staff is very friendly and accommodating and the facility is maintained. I think that piece could be better but I don’t think they are adequately staffed. Wish they had cameras in public areas.

This is an exceptional assisted living community with a memory care option. They are well trained and truly care about the residents living there! The building is beautiful, friendly staff, and they always go above and beyond for their residents and staff! They are a great community partner! Highly recommended!
