I had the opportunity to tour Somerby Lake Nona and I was very impressed. The building is so beautiful and very clean. Everyone person I came in contact with through my tour was very pleasant and friendly. I am giving Lake Nona serious consideration when the time comes for my 92-year-old mother-in-law. Fantastic experience!

We have used the Somerby facilities for the last four months starting on the assisted living side and then moving to the memory care side. Everything about this facility from the management team, nursing staff, maintenance team, restaurant staff and even front desk have been amazing. When we first moved my father in law to Somerby he was situated in the assisted living part of the facility. From the first move in the team was there to help. During this stressful time for our family the management team was great in explaining what was provided and what was required of us to complete the move in process. They were also very helpful in connecting us with vendors to help with the move and the initial care that was required. The management team also helped us resolve issues with some of these vendors. Their support was invaluable throughout this process. Once we were in at Somerby, it was obvious that not only are the amenities at the facility top notch (dining, spa, etc) but the nursing staff that care for the residents are amazing. The staff has been very attentive on both the assisted living and the memory care side of the operation. They not only provide great care for my father in law but they communicate changes in his status and work with us to make sure he is comfortable and well taken care of during this stage of his life. The nursing staff and management team always seem happy and responsive to the residents which makes my wife's family feel he is in the best place for his final stage of life. These staff members deserve more praise than I could ever document in a review. In addition, everyone at this facility is working hard to do their best. From the front desk people that greet you at the door and help with questions to the maintenance staff that has helped make the room perfect for our family member. Again I can't say enough good things about this organization. When you have to move a family member to assisted living or memory care it's a stressful time in everyone's life, everyone at Somerby made this event less stressful and pain free. I highly recommend Somerby.

This is a marvelous place to live. You will have friends everywhere. The staff all go out of their way to be there for each of us. The food is so good and we are always served by the friendliest staff ever. I love Somerby very much. Their care is wonderful.

My husband and I were extremely impressed with the Somerby Lake Nona community. It was absolutely beautiful. We were torn between Texas Hill Country and Florida and being Native Texans decided to stay. Lake Nona hands down would have been our Florida choice. I would recommend their website. It is pretty amazing and worth checking out!

This place is honestly amazing, there's always so much to do especially for the residents, I had an amazing time volunteering. The kitchen is amazing. The place is very organized and has many activities everyday including bingo, swimming, trivia, and movie nights. Overall great place!

Somerby at Lake Nona is a lovely space for seniors, and we were considering it for my in-laws. We ultimately ended up having them move in with us at home due to my mother-in-laws illness, but the best part about this process was working with Bob Harwood at Somerby. Bob was extremely helpful and kind, giving advice about how to present this option to reluctant parents, returning phone calls straight away, and basically being patient and generous as our plans changed over the course of several months. He even provided a list of ECC-licensed facilities when my mother-in-laws illness made her ineligible for Somerby. He is a wonderful, calming contact point for what can be a stressful process.

I want to share my thoughts of a kind, thoughtful, and most caring individual I came to meet at Somerby Lake Nona. His name is Robert Harwood. I could really connect and talk with him like family. He would call and check on Dad, and give me updates on anything I needed. Robert even knew people for me to contact with the VA. He gave a virtual tour of Somerby and did a fantastic job. If youre looking for a clean, caring, friendly place for your loved one, this is a great place to consider. Thank you Robert for all your hard work.

When this was Watercrest before the last purchase by Somerby it was a stellar community. The level of service that my mother received has been reduced.I have to buy incontinence supplies that she pays for, they have reduced the number of aides to reduce payroll, the outside landscaping is not well manicured like it was and over all feel has suffered. My mother has been here for 4 years this coming December(2019) she now has a full time caretaker but yet still pays for the highest level of service. The employees that I know that interact with my mom are wonderful, they are kind and compassionate. The problems that I see are from the management. Everything rises and falls from Leadership.

Lake Nona was the third assisted living for my father. The previous two did not provide sufficient care and did not work with us to help him get acclimated. As a result, he ended up with frequent hospitalizations. Since my father has been at Lake Nona, he has not had to be hospitalized once. The nurse practitioner that visits him at the facility helped us address his medical needs. The nursing staff call whenever there is a concern. Since he moved in during the COVID crisis, Bob and the staff had to act as family and get him set up and help get him acclimated. Maria has been wonderful and caring with him and assists us during window visits. There are too many great staff to mention here. The result, He is happy and back to his ole self. I truly believe there was a real possibility of my father being placed in a nursing facility if we didnt get his medical and social issues addressed. I am thankful for all their assistance and would highly recommend them based on my experience there with my father.

The activity staff provide activity programs that are fun and engaging for the residents. They are always going on fun outings all over Central Florida. The dining room stays busy most of the day and the meals look and taste great. Were moving mom here ,after she moves fro New York.

We selected this facility in Aug 2019. My Father in Law moved in shortly after. All of the staff have embraced him with the utmost care and concern. Without the A+ staff from Bob, to the Nursing staff, specifically Agnes and Becky, to the Chef and all of the kitchen helpers, and last but certainly not least the behind the scene maintenance (Tony) and cleaning staff too who do an Excellent job assisting each resident with their specific needs or requests we feel we Indeed picked The Best place in Orlando for Dads new place to call home.
