Dawn & her staff are amazing. . They are always doing something with the residents and are very attentive to their needs. It is a warm & friendly environment the moment you walk through the door.

I visit Phoebe once per week and enjoy spending time with her at the facility. We often sit in the dining room and talk with the other residents while enjoying a cup of coffee or some water. The staff is always available and welcoming! I can take her outside in her wheelchair and go up to the pond for a visit with nature. We can go by the fireplace in winter and join Rocky the cockatiel in the sunroom. One of the residents can play the piano and we have had a little singalong! The residents go on trips, play bingo, have nice meals and Dawn will get a nice homemade snack if someone is looking for that. I really enjoy my weekly visits and feel so welcomed there by everyone. Staff works very hard to meet the needs of all the residents.

I absolutely love this place!!! The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They care about their residents and you can see that on the smiles they give. The residents always appear happy and relaxed! The facility is always clean and inviting! Hands down the best place in portage!!!

Dawn is a great manager. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Residents are well cared for. Staff & residents are a happy family. Facility is well kept & clean. Dawn recently held a "Prom" for the residents and I have heard several of the residents talking about this and how much joy it has brought to them.

Very friendly and caring for my Dad when he was there in his last day Dawn and her staff very very helpful and caring highly recommend them and our house senior assisting apartments as well when my parents first moved from their farm of 60 plus years into assisted living until my mom passed and my Dad got bad that he had to move down to the other bldg .

I work with an outside agency that provides additional supportive care for the residents, and my experience with this facility has been very positive. The staff is genuinely caring and attentive, communicates well with outside providers, and is responsive to resident needs. The environment is clean and welcoming, meals are homemade, and residents are offered engaging activities. I appreciate how they promote independence while also maintaining a safe and supportive setting. From what I’ve seen, this appears to be a compassionate and well-run community.

The wonderful staff at Our House took excellent care of my mom for the last four years of her life. She loved the staff deeply, and they loved her right back, even when she was being difficult. My mom is currently living here at the assisted care facility. I am very thankful that we found a place that has a friendly family atmosphere. Dawn, the director is amazing. The staff care about the residence. It’s like one big happy family. I live in Florida so it’s very reassuring to know that my mom is in a place where she is secure and well taken care of. I just would like to recommend if anybody is looking for a place to place their loved one and know that they are getting good care. This is the place. The director Dawn is awesome. The staff are friendly, gentle and love their job. I am very thankful for my mom to have a place that I can feel confident she is taken care of, and loved, at this stage of her life. I live in Florida come home every couple months and spend several days just being there all day. I have seen the care that my mother gets. I am very satisfied.

Mom has been at the Portage CBRF for 9 months. It was the best thing we did for her transferring her from Prairie Ridge in Waupun. Much better care. Her edema in legs improved immensely. Staff are great with her. A smaller place with much more detail to her care.

Our House Senior Living is an amazing place, they have great home cooked food and the place always smells amazing. Staff are like a second family for residents, and they always enjoy doing activities together.

Dad was not happy to have to go to assisted living after his release from the hospital. We wish he could have gone back to his home but it just wasn't in the cards. The staff made the transition so much easier for him as well as for my brother and I. We absolutely knew they cared about Dad and his needs as well as his happiness. Dawn and her gals all had a great attitude and good sense of humor which was so important in the day to day routines. Anytime we had a question or concern it was handled quickly. I would recommend this facility to those that need it.

We are so fortunate to have found Our House Assisted Care and Memory Care for our parents. The staff is caring and welcomes family involvement. Even through the Covid Pandemic we were kept informed of health conditions and needs. Our father passed in 2020 and Mom has been in Memory Care for almost a year. We know she is safe and her daily needs are being taken care of. Thank you to the staff for all you do.

Our House took excellent care of my mom for the last two years of her life. She required an extensive amout of care for the last few monthes. Our House kept me constantly informed on Mom's conition and were welcoming every time I visited. The environment truely is home-like and the employees were always cheerful and caring. Our house in Portage is like living at home, except there is 24/7 care! The staff goes over and above to accommodate individuals living there. The facility is beautifully decorated and continually gives a warm feeling of being at home.

The building is smaller in structure and this really gives staff the opportunity to get to know the residents and build friendships. Staff is very caring and tries their best to keep residents comfortable and happy. Management does an excellent job with employees, families and above all the residents. They are very involved with the day to day happenings in this building at it really shows!
