Wonderful care for my dad, Ray. Regie M., Sara P., physical therapists Sarah A. and Ela and nurses Julie and Jenny and CNA Maria and many more went above and beyond to help my dad during his 2 stays at Mountain Vista this spring. Thanks also to Charlie for being a friendly face at the front desk. My family is grateful for helping our family navigate the rehab process.

My 98 year old father was in the Rehab wing, so I am only speaking about the rehab facility. He was in there for over 21 days, I have nothing but positive remarks to say about this place. The food was #1 in my dad eyes, he actually put on weight while in there. Second the PT therapist "Sarah" ROCKS! I warned her about my dad being stubborn and she pushed him every day, they listen to us and really did what we asked of them to get my dad back in shape. As for the overall nursing care, as in any place you will have some ups and downs but overall I give them a A- when it came to everyday care. Cleanliness A, Food A+, PT & OT A+. We were not disappointed.

I have personally had the unfortunate opportunity to experience several communities over the last 20-years as I've advocated and helped my mother through multiple inpatient rehabilitation needs. Believe me, no facility is perfect, however, given our experience, my mother and I had no reservation when identifying where she would go for skilled nursing and hospice care, following a massive stroke. She has been at Mtn. Vista now for 9 months. My father has moved into their Independent Living Apartments on the same campus. While I could identify a small handful of grievances - they would / and should be considered trivial in nature. My mom has bonded with her nurses and CNA's - I have received the upmost support from the administrators (the staff is caring, supportive, attentive and kind). Mtn Vista is one of a few CRC's (i.e., Independent Living, Assisted Living, Rehab, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing) in the area that accept Medicaid once private pay has been exhausted. Yes, sections of the facility are dated (50 year plus) - but if Care and Compassion, is what you're after, Mtn. Vista has demonstrated time and time again to shine and sparkle when compared to others in the area.

My mother had a stroke 2.5 years ago and it caused her to be bed bound. I thoroughly did my research before sending my Mom to this facility so I thought. I read all the reviews in their entirety, checked the ratings on Medicare.gov website and visited the facility in person. Unfortunately, that was not enough so I decided to leave a review in hopes it may be helpful for someone looking to place their loved one. In the beginning, everything seemed great. The staff was very attentive, pleasant, professional and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Everytime, I called to check on my Mom, I never felt like they were too busy to answer questions. My Mom seemed to really like her roommate. I learned, it makes a huge difference where/what hall in a facility your loved one is located, because each section has different assigned staff to certain rooms. Early on, my Mom was relocated to a different room and things started to go downhill quickly. The facility had a Covid outbreak and the long-term care side was put on isolation and my Mom on quarantine. I was not given proper notice that this had happened. I showed up for a visit and was told at least 4 different stories from each staff member thereafter as to the details of why, when and what was the reason for not being notified in a timely manner. The people in charge at this facility seem to be away regularly on vacation or unavailable and therefore do not return your phone calls. I am not sure who runs this facility in their absence. My mother went all night without being changed and she could smell herself even with oxygen in her nose. It was later confirmed that indeed did happen, but when speaking to the DON, she had no knowledge of it. Each week, my Mother's normally pleasant personality started to gradually change. I spoke to her daily by phone. I visited weekly and the weekend staff never made her look neat and clean during the visits. I gave 2 stars, because of her early experience the first 1.5 week.

Mountain Vista is truly a gem of a community. Each time I have visited, I’m greeted with a smile (even under masks!) and everyone is helpful and happy. The residents are happy and engaged in activities. As a hospice company that has partnered with Mountain Vista, this is definitely top of my list when any of my patient’s families are looking for a community. Keep doing great things, Mountain Vista!

This place is well known in our community. My father was a native of Jefferson county before it was the city of Wheat Ridge and when he married my mom, they both stayed in the same home he grew up in. Since then, my uncle lived in independent living and assisted living at Mountain Vista. My mother received amazing care in the nursing home. I visited her daily and the staff became like family. Now I am going in for an elective surgery and they offered me options for rehab... One was Mountain Vista and thats exactly where I chose to go after surgery. So thankful for Mountain Vistas legacy, theyve helped my whole family at some point in our lives.

A+ outstanding care for my dad! My dad has lived here for over 4 years, it required all 6 siblings to agree on a place for him, it was incredible that we all could agree on Mountain Vista. The staff are so wonderful and many of my fathers nurses have been at Mountain Vista the whole time-- which says a lot. The food is good, the community has beautiful views and the staff is very knowledgeable! I moved my father from another nursing home that doesnt even compare. Not all places are the same, Mountain Vista was the best choice for us!

My dad was a resident for 2.5 years at Mountain Vista and often told me he is thankful he chose a great community. He was isolated after my mom died in 2015, no one expected him to recover or socialize, but he made many friends and the staff became family to us. We toured 6-7 assisted living communities before found Mountain Vista it was the most caring, affordable and clean place we visited!

In 2018 my mother came to Mountain Vista for rehabilitation and did so well that she was able to go home with her independence. The community is really clean, updated and the staff is wonderful and caring. We will be considering Mountain Vista if my mom ever needs to move from her home

My husband was there for 26 months. He ended up dying from PSP. The staff from the administrative front office to the facility management team are the best. The care, love and support my husband and I received was extraordinary. I highly recommend this nursing home.

Wonderful home for dad! This community has helped our family not only with dads care, but with our own peace of mind. Mountain Vista has been around since I was a kid, at that time my grandma lived there when her health declined. When my dad had a fall at home, the hospital gave us a list of communities, one being Mountain Vista. Were so pleased with the staff, the building is clean and there are many wonderful people to help. If youre looking for care for a family member... Look no further, this is the best!

We recently moved my mom into assisted living memory care at Mountain Vista. Shes so well taken care of and the staff treat her like family. We are so pleased with our choice of community-- even after touring 6 other communities with memory care, this was the only one that felt like a good fit for our mom. Jessica in memory care has adopted my mom as her own mom and it touches my heart to see them interact.

Let me start by saying that I am so impressed by this community. There is more love and compassion for residents than any other nursing home Ive ever been to (and I volunteered for 3 of them in New Jersey). Today, Friday 7, 19 I watched staff from all over the building serving residents meals from a buffet of options! The residents got to custom make burgers, BBQ pork and turkey burgers with lots of options as sides. Let me say: this is a loving place for my mom; theres nothing better than good care by friendly staff that love what they do, in a clean environment and with dignity into everything they do! I moved my mom from one nursing home to Mountain Vista because the environment is more cozy and the nursing staff are competent. The residents at Mountain Vista enjoy it here and I asked many about their experience. So pleased we found Mountain Vista- my mom has only GREAT things to say about the food, engagement and care she receives.

My mom had a very short stay at Mountain Vistas rehab and nursing home. Unfortunately it was the last few weeks of her life. I was so happy with our choice of facilities. I worked for ABHM 11 years ago. It was so nice to see that the values and caring were still the heart of the community. Thank you for the heart warming departure and the touching words of the chaplain and employees. Those words and hugs from staff will last long into my familys memories.

Old building but could not ask for a nicer staff. I go to m as ny many nursing homes for work as and i love the staff here. They really live their patients here. Have never heen to a place where the staff just goes over and hugs the patients and telks them they love them for no reason.

I was in the skilled nursing facility here last July after knee surgery. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of! Meals were great! I have recommended it to several people since.
