I had no idea where to start or what to expect when looking for a memory care facility for my mother. After looking at 9 facilities, Atria Del Sol was my clear number one choice. The building and grounds are warm and feel like a community. The staff could not have been better. Every staff member I encountered were wonderful and went out of their way to make this process as easy as it can be. The residents were happy and ready to engage. I would absolutely suggest visiting Atria first when looking for a long term care facility for your loved one.

Atria Del Sol is an extremely well-managed place with caring staff, engaging activities, and well-maintained facilities. My Mom has lived in their Memory Care unit for over 6 years and continues to thrive with the positive and supportive culture that the entire team creates. The variety of stimulating games, exercises, and social interactions have helped ensure a high-quality daily life for her. During COVID, they have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of both residents and staff and have done an excellent job communicating about testing, vaccinating, safety protocols, etc. They also have done a great job keeping spirits up during this time with festive yet safe celebrations of all holidays throughout the year (Valentine's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, etc.). I highly recommend Atria to anyone looking for a special home for their family member.

We made the decision to place my mom here 5 months ago since she was no longer able to be alone and take care of herself and we work full time. I went to numerous places and Atria, by far was the best. The people have been fantastic to me and to her and I never have to worry about her because I always know she is in excellent hands. I visit her frequently and the ladies that work there always dote on her and make her feel special. If I am worried about her and need her to be checked on they do it promptly and communicate with me. She has settled in really well with the community and she is now more involved in activities and outings and I couldn't be more pleased. Before her husband passed, she would just sit in the house day after day and never go anywhere. Well, that's not the case now! Thank you from the bottom of my heart all you folks at Atria! Jennifer, Ana, Jeremiah, Irma, Asal, Rena, Marie, Julia, Flor, Luis, Kat, Peyton, Divina and everyone else who does a wonderful job there! Please forgive my memory for not recalling all your names!! We were looking for a short term care facility for my husband in between hospital stay and home. We looked into several facilities and chose this one mainly because of Jennifer who was the sales representative. Jeremiah answered all of our questions and was very helpful the entire stay . The transportation was great to my husbands dialysis three times a week and doctors appointments . Perry, the driver, was extremely nice and professional . Physical therapy was great, five days a week with very professional technicians. My Husband was very confident with Judee, Nicole and Kristy. They worked him hard to get him ready to go home . Our at home physical therapist couldn’t believe how well he was doing.This was our first experience with anything like this so we were a little apprehensive at first. However, everything was clean. The staff is professional and very thoughtful and respectful. Every visit I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. The Receptionists were very thorough to make sure that temperatures were taken and masks were worn. Covid rules were very strict which I appreciated. Thanks to all of you!

I want to thank the entire staff at Atria Del Sol in Mission Viejo. We moved my father in a year and a half ago after an extremely difficult year. Atria was exactly what he needed! He made friends and enjoyed lots of TLC which was greatly appreciated. He recovered so well that after a year and half, he decided to move into his own apartment! I could have never imaged he would regain all independence! During the pandemic, they kept all the residents safe and did everything they could to stay positive. It was a very challenging time for all of us, especially the seniors. I could not have asked for a better team to keep my dad safe. They kept him occupied, eating healthy, and offered so many activities on site, even when they couldn't leave their rooms. Reika was also so sweet and positive with all the residents. Finally when my dad could has elective surgery, Joanna and her team did a great job making sure he healed properly and quickly. The front desk staff was amazing and Nina was one of my dad's favorites. There were so many wonderfully kind staff, I cannot name them all. If you are looking for a caring staff that give just the right level of care in a beautiful facility and grounds, I highly recommend Atria!

I am so impressed with the caregivers in memory care! Michael was the first to greet me on move-in day and has been a major support since then, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. Yuta is a talented, intelligent, hard-working, compassionate young man, a true asset to the team. Erika is not only efficient and hard-working, she is the sweetest person I've met in years. There are many names I could mention -- at the risk of forgetting someone special. It is such a comfort to know my Barbara is in the care of a wonderful team.

The past 3.5 years that our father has been a resident at Atria del Sol have been a blessing for all of us! After living independently until the age of 90 we were apprehensive of how he would adjust to an assisted living environment, but he has thrived! From the moment he arrived every effort was made to make him feel welcome and at home! Prior to COVID we were able to join him for lunch or dinner in the dining room on our visits from the East coast and we were so pleased with the quality, taste and presentation of the food. The staff has been excellent and certainly understand the nuances of working with the elderly. Recently we have had to move my father to another Atria location in California to be closer to family and, although our father and all of us will truly miss everyone at Atria del Sol, we are confident that he will continue to be happy and enjoy his life at another location in the Atria family. A special thank you to Terri Harmon, director at Atria del Sol, for her extraordinary concern for all the residents and her responsiveness to the many questions that come up from family especially during the difficult past year with COVID.

We chose Atria Del Sol for our mom after she had a fall. We assumed it would only be a few months, but it's now been over 2 1/2 years. The staff couldn't be more pleasant and every time I run into someone they have a smile and are friendly. While at Atria, she has enjoyed playing bridge, dining, exercising and outings with other residents. Covid has taken it's toll on the dining and activities, but the staff continues to keep the residents engaged, entertained and happy.... as well as safe. This year has been a challenge, but they've done a great job. They started their "sleeves up" this past month and thanks to Atria, my mom has now been vaccinated.

Atria Del Sol is a hidden gem right off the golf course! The staff are amazing and so helpful. My mom has made many new friends and always brags about how wonderful everyone is. I have a great peace knowing she is close by with new friends involved in a community who really care! My mom new it was time and after our first visit she made it clear that was where she thought she should be - this was a major answer to prayer! She moved in shortly before COVID struck the world. Having her there during COVID has been a miracle because their precautions and standards have definitely kept my mom safe. This new chapter in my mom's life has been challenging in so many ways but Atria Del Sol has been a candle in the darkness!

My father-in-law moved to Atria Del Sol three years ago, and we couldn’t be happier with the facility, staff and events/entertainment both pre- and post-COVID. The common areas, both inside and outside, are all just beautiful. Bob’s room is huge compared to other places we looked at and has a great view of the very pretty back courtyard and golf course. The food is amazing my father-in-law loves it, and we used to eat there pre-COVID, and we loved it. Hats off to the chef! Prior to COVID they had wonderful entertainment for the residents and the families of the residents. My husband and I occasionally joined Bob for the Saturday evening live music and some of the holiday events, and we enjoyed it as much as he did. Now that COVID circumstances do not allow Atria to bring in live entertainment, the staff has taken over and has not missed a beat. They immediately began doorway exercises not only to give the residents exercise time but also for entertainment purposes. They have (safe) daily activities and entertainment, to name just a few: hallway karaoke, bingo, ornament making and different types of happy hours where they bring carts of themed goodies around from room to room while dressed for the themed occasion (e.g., take me out to the ballgame cart with hot dogs and popcorn with staff dressed in baseball attire). And last but not least, the staff. The staff has become Bob’s family. They take such good care of him whether it’s hanging a picture, giving him meds or wrapping a cut finger, they are there for all his needs always with a smile. He loves goofing around with them. Thank you Atria Del Sol for taking such good care of our precious Bob.

My mother has been living in the Life Guidance community at Atria del Sol for just over a year. She is quite happy there. She enjoys the many activities, especially the exercise classes. I appreciate that we have been able to visit with her via FaceTime or Zoom during Covid. When we talk she tells me that she is thrilled with her studio apartment. It is just the right size for her because she can see everything. When she first moved out of her house she chose a one-bedroom apartment, but it turned out to be too big for her. The staff is very responsive whenever I reach out to them. Atria del Sol was a good choice for us.

Exceeds Expectations !!! Nearly 5 years ago I can remember how much time it took me to finally get my Dad to visit at least one senior housing facility. After much preliminary research, I felt that Atria Del Sol in Mission Viejo had the best chance of "winning him over" to an environment of fun, great food, entertainment and most important - community with others his same age. Before Atria, he was just sitting in an apartment watching TV all day. However, within the first week or two at Atria, he could only thank me over and over again for how much he loved the place and the smiling faces of staff who always made him feel like family in his new "Home." He truly expanded his quality of life beyond what he thought was possible at his age. As his son, it gives my wife and I such a "peace of mind" to know we can travel again and know he is protected and having the time of his life. The support and response time I personally get from Atria management and staff has always been timely and thoughtful. From the minute you walk into this facility you will immediately realize how well run an organization it is. The common areas, the rooms, the dining area are all well appointed and very well maintained. The staff at Atria Del Sol are polite, caring and eager to help from the maintenance crew to the care givers, to the food staff, to the receptionist. My wife has been a resident here for two years. Seeing first hand the care she has been given lifted a huge burden off my shoulders knowing she is safe and being very well cared for.

The rooms and common areas are clean and tidy. The management is quick to respond when you have a question. My Dads needs are always met.
