It has been 23 months since my mom has passed at MASL. I am finally writing this review. I would not hesitate for a minute, to Highly recommend this facility to anyone who is looking to have their mom or dad in a very well-secure, friendly, deeply caring, clean, jam-packed with things to do for both resident and family members, to look no further. And the food is great, as well. There are so many people I could name that were so wonderful to my mom the 7 years she was there. Facility forced my mom into memory care even after Drs suggested was not needed yet, and advised it would probably regress her. Which it did terribly. I don’t suggest if you’re searching for dementia care. But the independent living, and offered activities is very active. Jen is great, Marlene, and John were always awesome. My grandmother is thriving at this facility! The staff, facility and care she is receiving is very impressive. Our family visits daily and are greeted by warm friendly faces every single time. John Caldera calls each of us by name, checks in on her regularly and has been welcoming since the day we met him and chose this facility. Choosing an assisted living can be such a challenge with your aging family member, John and his staff made our transition a smooth one from day one. He showed compassion, warmth and understanding. The nursing staff, Stella, Maria and Catrina are very attentive and kind to our elderly matriarch. We are very relieved she is in a wonderful place. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, up kept thanks to the maintenance crew. Eric is particularly attentive. The facility has daily activities and hosts several family days throughout the year which we enjoyed. Watching our grandmother laugh was fabulous in particular when she was axe throwing! The staff is so friendly and caring and always willing to help with anything. Along with this there are different activities for all different interests. My family spent a long time looking for an assisted living for my grandfather. Our top concern was finding a place that would really feel like home for him. When we called Mt Arlington after looking at numerous communities, the warm welcome we received brought us a sense of peace. The sales director truly made us feel like we mattered and he had our best interest in mind. When we took a tour of the community and saw how happy and well taken care of the residents were we felt a sense of confidence that my grandfather would be in good hands. The Executive Director was extremely warm and welcoming and asked questions to get to know what was important to us in finding the right community. The staff was extremely friendly and almost everyone took time out to say hello. The director of nursing Karen has always been extremely responsive and keeps my family updated with any changes. The rooms are spacious and very clean and there was no odor in which we had experienced in other places. We are so happy and thankful we chose Mt Arlington and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to move a loved one. The whole family wished we chose Mt Arlington sooner as my grandfather is thriving in his new home and has made so many new friends.

It is a true pleasure and a pure delight to be working with John Caldero on the transition move for my 87 year old Uncle from Oregon to New Jersey and thank my lucky stars. From the moment that we scheduled the tour and to this very day he has been very attentive to all our needs and extemely kind and compassionate with all our challenges. There was not one room available but he was honest and kept us well informed during the entire waitlist period. He is a true profesional with a genuine kind soul which is rare to find these days and I am very confident that we have made the right choice in selecting your facility for my Uncle. I was desperate and had to make a decision fast for my sister. I meet with John and Rich and they made my decision very easy!!! John was amazing with me and never hesitated to take my calls with a million questions. The staff is by far the best I have seen, very helpful and so caring about their residents. The process was stress free and made us feel like we are part of a family. My sister loves living here and it has made all the difference in her life. The nursing staff has her on a strict medication regimen and she feels so much better. She hasn’t looked this good in years. Choosing Mr. Arlington Senior Center for our Dad to live was the best decision that we could have made for him and our family. He has been living there for almost two years and has been well taken care of. He enjoys the company of the other residents and likes every single person that assists and works with him. He's happy there and that was one of our main concerns. My husband always remarks that as far as he's concerned, there is no safer place that my Dad could be during this horrible Covid 19 pandemic. They have taken every precaution available to keep the residents safe. I recommend this residence to everyone that I know. Thank you for all you do for our Dad. Mount Arlington Senior Living is a welcoming community with a wonderful caring staff! I would like to highlight how amazing they have done with Covid-19 and making sure all residents and staff members are safe. I have worked closely as a home care agency rep with both the director of nursing and the wellness nurse and can honestly say they put the health and safety of their residents as top priority. Furthermore, the therapy department ON SITE works with the residents individually to reduce fall risk, increase stability and safety and tailors each therapy program to the needs of each resident. If you are looking for a community for a loved one this is the place! **Bonus- the food is top notch!

My Dad, Walter, has been a resident of Mt. Arlington Senior Living for a year and a half. In that time, he has always been happy and very well cared for. When the COVID-19 health crisis began, we were very concerned for his well-being due to his age (95). The staff at Mt. Arlington has done a wonderful job of keeping the families informed with the latest information and, most of all, taking all the necessary precautions and following the proper guidelines to keep the residents healthy and safe. I am forever grateful to all of the Mt. Arlington Senior Living staff members for the extraordinary work they do every day! They are truly healthcare heroes!! With a warm, welcoming atmosphere and wonderful people, it's a great place to call home!

My mom lived at Mt Arlington for over 8 years and we credit her longevity to the care and concern shown to her by the whole staff. She was always greeted by her name with a smile. When they held activities where family could come and eat with the residents, the chef named Fernando always said that he kept an eye on mom to make sure she was eating well. Mom was saved from choking one time by a staff nurse. Denise along with other staff conveyed their sympathy when we did a final clean out of mom's room. I don't think there could have been any other facility that could have better met our expectations. Mom always called Mt Arlington HOME and it was really a fine home.

My dad moved into this facility three years ago because he could no longer live independently. We interviewed at several facilities and it was his choice to move here. When asked why, he replied that this facility felt like a home and the people who worked there seemed more like family and less like business people. It has turned out that his instincts were correct. He is very comfortable in what he refers to as his "apartment". The staff in every department could not be more compassionate, caring, and helpful. They take wonderful care of him in every way. He has made friends of all of them. He knows they "have his back" and feels very safe. There are numerous trips and many social activities for him to enjoy. The chef will even make him his favorite foods even if they are not on the regular menu. As a family, we could not be more pleased with Mt. Arlington Senior Living.

We had my 86-year-old mother stay here while my husband and I took a short vacation. She absolutely loved it! The staff is wonderful -- you can tell they truly love taking care of people. There are a variety of activities every day, so she was never bored. The food is plentiful, healthy, and cooked just right. The rooms are comfortable and have individual temperature controls. The full-time residents all seem very happy to be there too. If you are looking for respite care, plan well in advance. The minimum stay is two weeks. The potential resident will need to visit their doctor for medical clearance and a TB test, and you will have to get all of his/her medications (even OTC) packaged by a pharmacy. Then there's a visit for an evaluation by their own nurse, and a stack of forms to fill out. So it's not as fast or easy as checking into a hotel; but well worth the trouble. We had absolutely no worries while we were away because we knew mom was in excellent hands!
