Brookdale Hollywood Park in San Antonio was a great place for us to have our Dad during his decline, when we could no longer care for him at home. We got to know all of the caregivers in the Clair Bridge unit and they were all so patient and kind, it truly was inspiring. I want to thank especially Taniesha — fantastic upbeat spirit! And her colleague Toya was wonderful as well — great at helping those who are sometimes resistant and cantankerous. Thank you to Beatrice who did so much for my dad when he was having difficulties at night. She made the brave final call to me when he passed. My family thanks everyone at Brookdale and the people in the front office who were also helpful and understanding.

Automated check-in was a bit clumsy due to level of screen compared to a standing person. There was no identification of patient location for a first time visit. Paper sign in was there, too, with no instructions.

Neighbor 89yo went in for assisted living. First moved the camera I had to ceiling. She's been wearing the same clothes and to sleep for 3 days. It strikes me like prison with food brought to room and no real conversation. Covid has them in their rooms. Why I gave a 3? Clean room

We are overall happy with our experience. I had a very short time to find a place for mom and I feel fortunate to have found Brookdale in Hollywood Park thanks to John Ramirez taking the time to explain the process to me and working with me to get my mom admitted in a very short time period. The location is close to me which is convenient. The care and communication is good. John Ramirez (Sales Manager), Kathrin Miller (Executive Director), and the care staff Whitney Colbert (LVN) and Martha Morales (LVN) and Hospice team are excellent. Arielle Stevenson (Receptionist) is also excellent. The only issue is the skeleton crew on the weekends, they really want you to make an appointment to window visit (during COVID) your loved one during the week with Arielle.

We moved my mother from an assisted living community in Austin, to Brookdale Hollywood Park about 3 weeks ago. The entire staff has been wonderful in assisting her with the adjustment, caring, patient and kind. The food has been good quality. Her apartment clean and fresh smelling and her laundry well taken care of. We are so very pleased with this community and the staff.

Brookdale is a great community! After much research of many facilities - Brookdale was the place my sister and I chose to have my mom stay. Knowing there is a memory care unit on site- helped in our decision. ETHAN! is AWESOME! His patience and care for the residents is evident when he is working. Whatever the situation might be Ethan has always been there to help in any way he can. He too is also one of the main reasons we chose Brookdale Hollywood Park. His actions and personality cannot be put into words- because he genuinely cares for his job and it shows! Traci is awesome too! She is the new events coordinator and she does such a great job trying to keep all the residents active and involved! Her smile and happy spirit lets me know she enjoys what she does!5 stars

I volunteer at this facility and enjoy being here. Our residents are fun to be around. They enjoy lots of activities. We have Spa Days where they enjoy manicures and hand messages. We have cooking days and even today enjoyed a pineapple cake. During exercise we had plenty of laughs batting a balloon with our fly swatted! It was a good day at Brookdale Hollywood Park!

A few month ago I posted that my family and I were Very disappointed with Brookdale Hollywood park but recently there has been a lot of change in management and with that change came good things. This is now a place that I would like to see grow with happy seniors. They still need improvement in a few areas but they seem to be working on it.

Our 92-yr-old mom has been a resident at Emeritus at Hollywood Park for almost 2 years; she and our family believe transitioning to this assisted living facility is one of the best decisions we have ever made. The staff members are caring and personable; the other residents have become good friends of our moms; and we have the opportunity to get to know other family members as well so that the entire community truly is like an extended family to us. The environment of Emeritus is very home-like because each resident has his or her own apartment which can be decorated with their own familiar furnishings from their own homes which enhances the comfort of new surroundings. Daily, weekly activities (various games, outside entertainment, field trips, manicure appointments, exercise classes, etc.) keep residents active and engaged. While all of these amenities are common to most other available assisted living options, there is something special about the atmosphere at Hollywood Park which is very tangible but difficult to describe. We knew when we toured the facility that it was the right place for our moms comfort and peace of mind. She has been very happy there and we highly recommend it.
