When my father, who was my mothers primary caregiver, passed away very unexpectedly I had to find an assisted living facility in a short amount of time. Over the course of 3 to 4 days I looked and spoke with 5 or 6 places and decided on Seaton for many reasons. The first thing I noticed when I came in the door that the place was full of life. Residents in activities, walking around, and convesating outside of their rooms. The next thing was the cleanliness. Deanna met me at the door and gave me a full tour. After that we sat down and chatted. She was extremely thorough in what all needed to be done to get mom not only into Seaton, but ANY assisted living facility. After viewing a few others here in Hagerstown I knew Seaton was going to be the place for mom. General vibes, gut feeling, and value (price for her care) were all in allignment with what I was looking for. Theres a lot that Seaton did right in my eyes and a lot I liked for me and mom, but there was one big thing that stuck out over a lot of other facilities in the area: Moms care, independence, and her journey to this new life was first, money was second. Deanna and Karla were the only ones who, in my opinion, didn't make me feel like I was being sold something. I know that this is a business and can respect that, but like I said the money came second. It has been a full month and so far everything has been great, top to bottom. I am very grateful for Seaton and the entire staff for their genuine care for my mom.

Making the decision to place my father in an assisted living facility was not an easy one. But finding the "right place" gave me so much peace of mind. My father went from living alone for over 50 years to being in a community of peers. He adjusted very well, but I credit this mostly to the amazing staff at Seaton. They truly do care about the residents. My father loves every single staff person he comes into contact with on a daily basis. I thought, for sure, I would have to iron out some issues that would surely arise ... but I have to honestly say, the entire experience has been very positive. I have the peace of mind knowing that he is well-cared for, and truly valued as a resident at Seaton. I am so very appreciative of staff members Deanna, Rosie, Heather, John, Jan, Lisa, Michael, Casey ... and the many medical aids (especially Jerica, Michelle, Cory, Brittany) who make Seaton an awesome place for my father to live.

A Tribute to Jerica Wolfe! By Mr. Jack Jerica, you’re a shining star, With a heart that's warm, yet strong by far. Direct and quick, you always know, How to make my day a little more glow. You work so hard, with a smile so bright, Making each moment feel just right. I’m thankful for all that you do, Jerica, Seaton’s lucky to have you! And to Marty, my son, who works so hard, Making sure I’m never left off guard, A little kindness, Jerica, if you please, For he’s the only one who’s not as grumpy as me.

Dealing with Deanna from Seaton was a pleasant experience. She’s very kind and definitely made my day better.

There are some fabulous employees at Seaton. The first person you’re likely to meet is Casey. She works at the front desk. If there was ever someone you’d want representing your facility, it’s Casey. She has a sweet, upbeat personality and can be seen helping out any time and any where it’s needed. The residents know this about her and seek her out. I’ve observed her assisting in the dining room, delivering mail, reading the cards residents have received to them when they aren’t able to do so themselves, she even assisted a newer employee by showing how my dear friend preferred to be dressed/changed. I’m not sure that there’s anything she doesn’t pitch in and help with. Casey is a top notch brand ambassador. Seaton would be wise to do whatever it takes to keep her there until she retires. Thankfully, she’s young! Signed, Lisa Walker

I came in to visit at Seaton today and what I noticed and have noticed each time I have come in is that Casey who sits at the front welcomes you with a smile and goes out of her way to help. The management and care staff is kind, compassionate, and truly caring. The community is warm and welcoming, with plenty of activities and always seems like a lot of fun. What really stands out, is the way the staff treats each resident like family. They take the time to get to know them. It's clear that they genuinely care about each resident's well-being and happiness.

Looked at a lot of places for our Dad for Memory Care. No one around came close to the way that we all felt about Seaton Hagerstown. Our loved one is known by all of the staff their and they all treat him with respect and each one is willing to jump in if I have any questions or concerns about Dad. From when you go through the doors you are greeted by the most amazing people who are very friendly and helpful. Dad is very comfortable there and I would recommend Seaton Hagerstown if you are looking for a place that you can count on in the hardest time of your life placing a loved one. Thank you Seaton for helping us join your family.

We had to make the difficult decision to move our mother into assisted living a year ago. After looking at many facilities we decided on Seaton. The staff treat her like family. She has made friends and calls Seaton home now. Mike does a wonderful job with assuring there are daily activities and gets the residents involved.

There is no place like home ” except for Seaton. My grandfather has been living here for quite a while, and loves it (my whole family does). I think that happy residents can speak VOLUMES about an establishment. Leaving the house that he had lived in his entire life was definitely difficult for my grandfather, but Seaton is too wonderful not to love. I don’t know where to begin. My Pappy has the privacy of his own room (which is beautiful and spacious), but never has to be lonely because there are so many places to go and socialize throughout the building and outside. -All of the staff are kind, friendly, and truly care about their residents. I have NEVER seen a grumpy staff member at this place, which is saying a lot. I’ve been into countless establishments such as this, and the workers are typically miserable and rude. -The establishment is clean, well-kept, safe, and always decorated beautifully. I can’t tell you how important walking into a fresh-smelling room is to me. Seaton NEVER reeks of urine or feces like most homes for elderly folks do. -There are a variety of healthy (and delicious) food items on the menu for the residents. -Mike is THE BEST event coordinator you could ever imagine. He certainly thrives at his job. He comes up with the best activities, parties, themes, etc. They have several things going on each day! I’m glad he chooses to stay here because he could make it big one day. His creativity is beyond impressive. -The residents are happy and enjoy the company of one another and the company of the staff members. I chalk this up to Deanna who makes sure that everyone gets along and no one is unruly or out-of-hand. This lady is AMAZING in every way of the word. She is beautiful on the inside and out. She sees to it that each resident has the luxury and peace-of-mind they deserve. -They collaborate with Birth To Five and host an adorable interactive story time for toddlers/residents. My mom takes my son! -My son’s best friend is Kenny, one of the residents in the building. He enjoys seeing him more than he enjoys seeing his own great-grandfather. It’s so refreshing to go to a place where everyone knows, loves, oohs, and ahhh’s over your kiddo. I’m sure I’m missing things, but the bottom line is that this place is FABULOUS!

Seaton Hagerstown is a great place to be! The management team are great leaders and interact well with the staff and residents. The staff are very caring and attentive to our residents. As part of the management team, being the Director of Health and Wellness, I would recommend Seaton to anyone looking to place a loved one. The residents are well cared for, the place is clean, the food is delicious, the residents are engaged in activities, and the staff are very friendly giving it a home-like feeling.
August 2023
Extremely professional with a special family environment with residents who are actually happy to call Seaton of Hagerstown their home!!
August 2023
Seton is such a beautiful place and while I visited the people were so friendly and nice and showed they really cared.Heather was very helpful in providing everything that I needed to know.
March 2023
Staff is friendly and helpful. We had an individual going from total independent living to assisted living and a relocation also. We have asked many, many questions in our few months. My only complaint is with the cleaning. I think more elbow grease needs to be applied, especially to the floors in his room.
December 2022
Extremely short staffed
July 2022
Overall a positive experience. The staff and residents are very friendly and most helpful. They feel like family and the environment feels like home.
June 2022
Seaton AL of Hagerstown is a warm, inviting, and beautiful community for any residents needing short or long-term care. The staff is friendly and go over the top for their residents. Deanna, the Sales Director, has not only been a great partner for my facility Cadia Healthcare, but is compassionate, effective, and really takes the time to get to know her residents and families! I highly recommend this facility for anyone needing ALF services in the community! Thank you Deanna & Seaton for all the support you give to our community; we really appreciate you!
June 2022
Just had an amazing introductory meeting with Deanna Schleigh. My dear aunt needs assisted living and I've never been through this process before. Deanna was fabulous and gave me all the information I could possibly need to make my decision. She had a great personality and sense of humor so I really enjoyed talking with her. Deanna is a real asset to Seaton of Hagerstown. Call her if you want to know about their services. The facility sounds wonderful and is at the top of our list.
May 2022
We recently were tasked to fine an assisted living for a dear friend. We interviewed several locations and selected Seaton. It was affordable and the staff were very friendly. They also have Resident Ambassadors who greet all new residents to welcome them to their community. Our friend had his "Special Nurses" who brightened his day when they came to work. The Administrative Staff are very knowledgeable and make the transition very smooth for both the family and the resident. I recommend them 100%

My mother is a new resident, and is still adapting to her new normal. The staff and administration have been there for her and for my many questions. The staff is cheerful and always willing to do what they can to make this transition as smooth as possible.
May 2019
Mom is in the Memory Care Unit here. The staff from top to bottom knows her, interacts with her and treats her with complete respect while at the same time ensuring that she takes care of herself and is taken care of without making her feel incompetent. An amazing feat that was impossible before she moved here. I highly recommend these amazing people! The facility itself is also lovely. Lots of recreation, interaction and outdoor spaces to both see and visit. Mom especially loves their food! Very much a small town homey feel.
April 2019
The staff at Broadmore are compassionate individuals that made a unique transition calm and easy for everyone involved. The admission staff was responsive, generous, and worked extra hard to make their newest resident feel welcomed. The nursing staff was competent and ready to provide individualized care to every person in their facility. The activities and dietary staff were bright and pleasant, quick to introduce themselves to their new resident. The executive director even took the time to sit and get to know the new resident. The move-in process was not heavily monitored, allowing families to adjust at their own pace. There are limited restrictions and rules about the private apartments, so each person can really personalize their own space. The activities schedule is packed with fun ideas that cater to the interests of the residents. The meals are uniquely prepared with wonderful choices for the picky-eaters. The "Living Room" is spacious and welcoming to all residents, equipped with a large TV, beautiful piano, and house bird! Overall, Broadmore offers a lot for their reasonable price. They are a wonderful service to Washington County. I would not hesitate to refer another resident to them in the future.
February 2019
My Mom, who suffers from dimentia, moved into the memory care unit at Broadmore two months ago. She is amazingly well cared for. I pop in unexpectedly and she is always bathed, dressed and interacting with caregivers and other residents. When she was at home, she wanted to sleep the days away. The first day I went here to check it out(without an appointment) Andrea, who is in charge of marketing, approached me with an awesome greeting and took me on a tour of the entire place explaining everything and was very welcoming, along with the rest of the staff. The other places I went just smiled, handed me a packet and sent me on my way. My mother was initially very resistant about going into ANY facility. Now, when I take her out to eat or for another activity, she is anxious to get back and when we pull in the parking lot she says "we're home I like it here". Jeff, the executive director, is kind and caring and very hands on with everything. Bonnie, a knowledgeable RN, is the wellness director and is also kind and caring and always available for consultations. All the caregivers are sweet and work themselves extremely hard to provide care and respect to the residents. I highly recommend this facility and feel as though they try to provide a family atmosphere and keep the residents active and involved. I honestly think my mother's state of mind and condition have improved in the short time she's been there.
