My mom spent over four years in the memory care unit at Ivy Park, and its predecessor, Sunrise. There wasn’t a day that went by in which I didn’t give thanks for having such a selfless, caring, kind, and capable bunch of folks looking after her. Our family spent quite a bit of time at Ivy Park visiting Mom, and we were always welcomed warmly and treated incredibly kindly. We would constantly remark to each other how grateful we were to have found such a wonderful facility so close to home. The caregiving and administration staff are true professionals in every sense of the word; and the facility is small but very well-staffed, ensuring that all residents get all the attention they need. If you are looking for somewhere safe, reliable, and comfortable for your loved one, please consider Ivy Parks. We could not have been happier with our experience, and we are forever grateful for all that they’ve done for our dear, sweet mom.

My FIL has been a resident at Ivy Park of Claremont for almost five years in memory care.Veronica is wonderful.She makes sure residents are well cared for.Her staff always are engaged with the residents and giving them the care for each one’s need. Faith who leads the activities ,has residents engaged.The care team is awesome from morning shift to overnight shift.We had wonderful care providers throughout the years.Ogo, Julie, Crystal and Amber have been wonderful.The med tech staff is also very good.Tanya,Charity,Michael and Michelle are very attentive.My FIL has recently passed.We were treated like family since that became his home.I will always be grateful for the care provided by the team under Veronica.

My wife and I were living peacefully in a senior living facility in Altadena until the January 8th Eaton Fire. We were evacuated to Claremont. With the help of an adviser we found Ivy Park at Claremont. A few months ago my wife moved here and is in Assisted Living. Ivy Park is a marvelous place which has the benefit of providing Assisted Living in a protected environment and also provides memory care to those who need it. It is like a top notch hotel and has been a helpful and stimulating experience for my wife. With my help my wife is free to go shopping, to restaurants, church, etc. whenever she'd like. For example, today my wife did aerobics and attended a seminar in the morning, went out for lunch and shopping with me in the afternoon, made cinnamon buns in a cooking class at 2:30 pm & played bingo at 4:30pm. And she's reading again. It is quite a change & we're still getting used to it. We feel the the staff and administration are our friends - caring, attentive and easily reachable. My metaphor for Ivy Park is the med tech who hugs residents when she gives them their medication.

Recently having to make the difficult decision to place my mom into a memory care facility and after months of visiting different places, we selected Ivy Park Claremont. Heather and Christian helped me so much, answering my questions and easing my mind. It took mom a little bit of time to adjust but the staff were there to help her and she now is comfortable with her new home. Veronica and her staff are amazing! They treat my mom with such love and care. Veronica sends me pictures and videos of mom exercising and doing other activities. It makes my day. Michelle and Faith, Lisa and Chasity, Charity and Rosal are wonderful! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my mom.

We recently moved my mom from another facility to Ivy Park. She was doing okay at the other facility-she is now doing amazing at Ivy Park! The care and activities in the memory care is far superior than what she was receiving. She is more engaged; mentally and physically. Sara, Rosal and Faith do a fabulous job with the activities. In addition, Ana, Enrique, Lisa, Crystal and Ogo do a wonderful job with my mom during the day. She has the care and support she needs to use her walker instead of being wheel chair bound all the time-because of this she hardly uses her wheelchair and uses her walker much of the time. I am truly amazed! This was not the case at the other facility. She NEVER used her walker there and now she can because of the support she has. Julie - is with my mom most evenings and takes great care of her. My mom feels very close with her and as she is caring and good to her. Sara takes care of my mom on Julie’s nights off. My mom feels connected to Sara and she is good to my mom as well. Audreana and Maria are a great support and care to my mom at night as well. Veronica takes the time to send my updates including photos and videos. I don’t get to visit often - so it nice to see her enjoying her time. Overall, it is easy to say Ivy Park has been a welcome and invigorating change for my mom.

Sadly, Earlier this month my mother passed away at Ivy Park. In the nearly 10 months since I wrote the review below I have continued to be impressed with the staff at Ivy Park and the care my mother received there. Even after my mother's passing Veronica and her team were a great comfort to me. I will appreciate it forever. Chris Adams ==== === === Earlier this month my 89 year old mother moved in to Sunrise of Claremont and I am very, very pleased with the level of service and care the staff is providing. Oscar, Veronica, Trish, Jessica and the entire staff have really made what could have been a stressful situation much less so. My mother is adapting well and I feel better knowing she is safe, comfortable and well cared for. I could not recommend them more highly.

My MIL has been a resident at Sunrise Claremont since the summer, 2022. We moved her to Claremont after a year at another Assisted Living that gave her, and us, many problems. Needless to say, we were skeptical. Then we meet the amazing team of Veronica, Trish and Angelica. Almost immediately, we were at ease. They were kind, understanding and always made us feel as if we, the family, were a priority. The tour introduced us to many more kind and caring caregivers, staff and residents of this community. Residents were happy and cheerful in the halls, the lounge, the dining room and everywhere else we saw them. We knew this was going to be a good fit for us. Over the last few months, the team at Sunrise is always in communication with us. They are thorough, detailed and always make sure we are understanding the information they share with us. Their willingness to communicate with us, anytime we have questions, is incredibly helpful. Even when we don't have questions, they call and share updates. They don't wait for a scheduled Care Plan meeting to share updates, which we appreciate. We visit Sunrise at least 2 times per week. Every single time, when we visit, everyone is very attentive and friendly. From the ladies at the front desk, to the care managers, caregivers and dining staff, everyone we have met with has been very nice. A special shout-out to the activities and dining staff. We are always getting reports about trips to museums and Target. When they are not out on field trips, we get reports of baking class, flower arranging class and exercise class. She's always busy. Moving her to Sunrise was a great decision. Thank you, to the Sunrise team for taking care of her.

We moved my mom to Sunrise after 20 years of her living with us in an attached unit. We knew the transition would be difficult. But the team at Sunrise was continuously focused on making the transition smooth with the goal of making her feel at home. We recently had to take my mom to a skilled nursing location for rehab, and she can’t wait to get back home, to Sunrise! When my mom mentioned she missed the Sunrise food, the kind folks at Sunrise told me to stop by to pick up dinner for her! You should have seen my mom’s face! The Sunrise team truly want their residents to feel at home.

The Administrative staff have been very courteous and compassionate in transitioning them into Assisted Living. Bottomline: We are very fortunate to have Mom at Sunrise of Claremont for six years and counting. Sunrise of Claremont is a very dedicated and caring place and the people who work there are the secret sauce. The Director of the facility as well as the leads for the Wellness and Care teams are as good as you can get! We just completed 12 1/2 years with my parents at this facility and I can't say enough great things! First, the feel is like a bed & breakfast, with never any bad smells (especially important in senior living) - beautifully decorated, I personally have had hundreds of meals there as well, it's easy to join in. The staff is always very friendly and have great smiles & attitudes 100% of the time and treated my mom and dad very well. Lastly, even though we have been through alot of staff , one staff member, Veronica Hermosillo (RCC) has been an incredible constant and is incredible at her job!!!

We had the difficult task of moving a loved one into memory care during the Pandemic. After contacting half a dozen facilities, we were thrilled to be able to secure a place for her at Sunrise of Claremont. The Director of Sales, Stevie Thomas, helped us in every step of the process. She even helped to secure the means to transport our loved one to Sunrise when it proved difficult to arrange wheelchair transport services during the Pandemic. Although the normal range of resident services and activities were not available last year, the staff did their best to help the residents cope with COVID testing, quarantine and safety protocols. They assisted the residents to make FaceTime calls with their families, a procedure that even in normal times would be confusing for memory care residents. When we could not visit, the staff sent us photos and told us how our loved one was adjusting. Once safety protocols were relaxed, she was able to go on weekly scenic bus trips and dine with the other residents. The caretakers do their best to keep the residents engaged. It is a difficult job, and they carry out these duties with caring and sensitivity to the needs of the residents. We are very happy that we made the decision to move our loved one into Sunrise of Claremont, and know that they provided the constant level of care she needed as she dealt with the challenges of dementia.

I live out of state and have been increasingly worried about my brother's deterioration. Sunrise provided a virtual tour via a Zoom call. Stevie Thomas, delightfully positive staff member took us throughout the facility via her tablet with explanations of all the facility had to offer. The first thing we noticed, in addition to the facility looking very nice and modern, was the great relationship she clearly had with each of the residents she past while on the tour. That gave us a very positive feel for this facility. We had several other such tours and the decision to move my brother here was an easy one. My brother has now been at Sunrise of Claremont for about 6 weeks. He has made a remarkable recovery. He has dementia and failing short term memory. His physical strength has made a dramatic improvement and his cognitive ability has very significantly improved. He told me to sell his boat and firmly believes he is in the right place. He has nothing but positive things to say about the entire staff. The staff is amazingly responsive, attentive AND KIND! They keep me informed of anything that occurs and are always exceedingly helpful. He has made friends there and gets exercise that is quickly helping him regain strength and balance. He is very happy with the food service and the entire staff throughout the facility. Calls for assistance have never been ignored and are always treated with respect for the individual. Any questions or requests I've made from 1,000 miles away are similarly handled with respect and timeliness. I am thrilled with his physical and mental improvements and with the kind, positive, helpful staff. I would happily highly recommend Sunrise of Claremont for your loved ones!

Loved the friendly and playful staff, the activities that are provided to the residents and how everyone is treated as being in a large family. The facilities are clean, safe and inviting. My sister will be able to have her kitty live with her and the residents are very friendly and well taken care of. The even have a cute, mellow dog that lives there named Geo!

My mother has lived there for several years. Management seems to be really good at hiring and keeping people who have the caretaker mentality. It's a calling and a gift, really. Everyone is gracious, polite and accommodating. My mother is happy with the food, the activities and the people. Of course, we would prefer she stay with one of us kids. But she has made her choice and seems genuinely happy there.
