We moved my mom to the Terrace from a center city facility when we were told the facility could not provide care for her. She was in hospice. When we visited the Terrace, Lisa was so reassuring and caring, answering all of our questions and assuring us that my mom would receive the necessary care. My mom was only at the Terrace for a short time before she passed away but I cannot say enough about the care she received there and about the kindness and availability of staff management. I wish she had moved there sooner.

I sent my mom to Terrance of Chestnut Hill for a 30 day respite and in our experience I will say my mom enjoyed the activities, but they are limited in truly trained staff and their procedures need to be improved when it comes to a fall. As I'm still waiting on a call from the VP of Wellness where the promise to follow up was not followed through. If your parent needs more daily care I would ask questions around process from brief changes, keeping your parent walking and always asking for an incident summary. You shouldn't be notified hours after a fall. This is not a place I would return my mom based on her needs and experience, but as you will read in the reviews it works for many. Beverly is the MVP of care and made my mom feel loved whenever she was around.

The Terrace at Chestnut Hill is a beautiful assisted living community. Lisa McDonough is the Executive Director there. She is very approachable and cares about the residents and their families. The staff is kind and caring. There are plenty of activities for the residents such as bingo, shopping trips to local stores, arts & crafts, free movie room just to name a few. There's also van service that takes the residents to their medical appointments. Highly recommended.

My mother moved to The Terrace 4 weeks ago. When I went to visit her, I was so happy with how relaxed she was. She was dressed well in her own clothes, her drawers were nice and organized, and she was calm. This was not always the case at her previous facility. I know that my mom is happy where she is. We had a pleasant visit without crying. Anyone who has a loved one with dementia knows how important that is. I wish I knew about The Terrace before. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a safe and welcoming environment for their loved one.

My father is a resident and he's been there since August…when we were looking for facilities, the Terrance was recommended. We did a tour and loved it immediately! The staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome. The facility and grounds are very nice and there is plenty of activities for the residents to do. I have been visiting the Terrace for almost 15 years now, I've had several family members and friends come and stay at the Terrace! This place is a timeless beauty. I always feel welcomed and greeted by concierge and staff! The building has changed multiple times, but the love and care they have for residents has stayed the same! It's always very clean and never has that "nursing home smell" which is very important to me! After recently visited another facility and then stopping by the terrace, I felt it very necessary to write this review! This place is a literally breathe of fresh air! It is hard to express our appreciation for everything that Lisa M., Thomas and Kia have done to make this a seamless experience in the midst of a difficult situation for our family. They have taken countless calls, reached out via text many times and helped facilitate the transport of my father from the hospital to the Terrace. They've answered dozens of questions, given us unsolicited updates and have generally just been amazing. I don't think we would have received quite the same level of care anywhere else. My dad is settling into his lovely apartment nicely, and getting used to his new routine thanks to a patient, caring and communicative staff, and that is a relief to our entire family. We have, without a doubt, made the best choice with the Terrace. Thank you!!

My mom lives here, and the people who work at this facility really do care about her. They also take great pride in their hair styling and nail services. My mom has the best nails I have ever seen! It's the little things that help give fading people dignity. They also have great entertainment that the residents do love. I always enjoy the times when I visit my mom and the staff members at the Terrace great me with a smile. Right on the the staff who take great pride in their work!

I Love this place!! The Terrace at Chestnut Hill is such a beautiful place inside and out, the grounds are so lovely. This is a really calm atmosphere, all the staff and caregivers are very friendly. Ever since my Aunt moved in, she is never alone unless she wants to be. She settled in quickly. I like the friendly environment, the nurses and administrative staff is very good with her. It is great to see her now engaging in activities to keep her active and doing things she likes. She loves the entertainment. The staff and caregivers are so great with her and are able to get her to take her medicine everyday. She loves the meals and loves being able to sit and eat with friends. Her room is very nice and because we were able to bring some of her own furniture, it feels like her old apartment. The Executive Director Lisa McDonough is the best at keeping me updated on her progress or any health concerns. She is the best. Let me just start by saying that while no facility is perfect, The Terrace does a great job of accommodating their Residents. The Terrace offers tasty, well-balanced meals, which I have had the pleasure of tasting, and they provide activities daily throughout the day. The apartments are very well-maintained and the building is absolutely beautiful!!! Regarding staffing, the Executive Director, Lisa McDonaugh is the best!!! She is very responsive, very accommodating, and very fair. I am a hands-on daughter, who is constantly at the facility, and any requests have always been resolved to my satisfaction. Lisa makes sure of that. When I asked my mother how she was doing there and if she liked it, she responded that they take really good care of the residents and that they do a good job! That's exactly what a caring daughter Wants to hear!

There is a lot I could say, but I want to get right to it…the overall care, understanding and compassion I was provided from Sept 2023 until the day (two days ago) I signed my loved one into the community has been remarkable. The entire staff from the executive members to the caregivers have shown me and my family member the absolute best care and service. As the primary caregiver, it was hard to let go of that responsibility. However, I have been kept informed of my family member's care and medical condition constantly which has made the transition easy on me. As for my family member, they are quite content with the transition from home to community which was concerning. But, the staff has made this a wonderful experience. Thank you so very much!

We have a big decision to make soon for a loved one and our family now is very pleased to have found this beautiful facility in Chestnut Hill so close to Philadelphia. I love, love, love this place, The Terrace at Chestnut Hill. Lisa and the administrative staff are very friendly, caring and really knows how to redirect my Aunt when she gets confused. She loves the place and she doesn’t feel alone anymore. The Activities Director is the best you can have. I love that she has structured events, programs and activities that keeps her active and involved. And I love the activities schedule, so she always knows what’s coming up next. She can eat whenever she wants but she likes the schedule for breakfast, lunch and dinner and doesn’t have to cook a thing. All the staff seems to care a lot about the residents. My cousin found this place and it was the best choice for my Aunt. Of course, her room is smaller than her last apartment but it is able to fit everything she needs comfortably. I like the beauty of the place and the grounds are so beautiful. She can decorate her room for the holidays anyway she likes. I like the Terrace so much that I’m really thinking about paying for a room to move in when it’s time for me to have assisted living. I absolutely recommend The Terrace at Chestnut Hill community for anyone who is lonely and in need of assisted living.

I just wanted to take the time out to thank all the staff for a wonderful experience. I love how warm and nice the community is, residence are happy and enjoy the activities, food which is also amazing, presentation everything just wonderful. The residents look amazing and happy which says a lot. Staff is friendly, especially ED is which by the way went out of her way to show me around when I got there. I am writing this review because i am in and out of buildings all day and felt impelled to speak about the interaction and relationships that I've built since I've visited the terrace. The energy and compassion that i see that the staff has for its residence is second to none the nursing care is in my opinion one of the strongest teams in the area, the communicate and interact like a well driven machine. I inquired about the Terrace At Chestnut Hill for my mother in need of memory care. The executive director, Lisa McDonough took time over the phone to assess my family's needs and immediately scheduled a tour of the facility. I was impressed by how welcoming the staff were and the amenities on offer. Once we decided to move forward with joining the community, Lisa was very patient, as this was an extremely difficult decision to make, and walked me through the whole process. The supporting nursing and memory care staff also sat with me to answer any questions I had and helped to comfort me. I truly appreciate all of their support and genuine care for me and my mother who has now made the transition to living at the Terrace At Chestnut Hill.

A family member spent about a year here in the memory care portion. We found the care to be exceptional. The staff cared deeply about our loved one. I went to an event at the Terrace today. It was my first time there and I can't say enough good things about this lovely community. From the minute I walked in the door I was treated with kindness and true hospitality. The spaces are cozy and welcoming. The dining room is inviting and the menu looks delicious. I have been working in senior living for 25 years and Crystal Cesari is one of the best Executive Directors I have ever worked for. She shows up on weekends and does activities with the residents because she cares about all the residents. She's accessible to families, staff and residents 24-7 via phone or text. She cares about the community and works tirelessly to keep the residents feeling at home and feeling loved and cared for. She works hard, sometimes over the weekend, to fill vacant positions and provide support as quickly as possible in this ever staffing challenged field of elder care. She responds to any problems that might arise in the community in a timely fashion and she has resources all throughout the industry to support families and residents during the challenging days of figuring out if our community is the best choice for them and how we can best support their care plan. We're not prefect here, but I rarely leave reviews anywhere and I feel that Crystal deserves a gold medal for her efforts.

I can only speak for myself and when I say they are trying and getting it together they are. The nurses, care takers and management don’t play with it come to care. It’s like one big family. And yes family have issues but it can be fixed and moved on. All I’m saying is that it’s a great place to work, and to have your loves one. Mind you I been here less than a year and it’s under new management and they not playing.. and no I’m not being paid to make a post about my job, I just wanted to bragged about my job. We have a great team, a great family.

I am EXTREMELY concerned about lack of nutritional value. Since my relative became a resident several years ago, emphasis on properly prepared, well balanced meals has severely declined. VERY disappointing.

This facility has been absolutely wonderful to my parents. They helped us get my parents transferred from their old facility. They got all their paperwork in order. There is always a nurse to talk to and their meals are nutritious
