My sister and I visited Wesley Manor back in October as walk-ins to the Healthcare Center while searching for a place for our aunt. We were warmly greeted by Kim, the Social Services Assistant, who was more than happy to give us a tour, share the history of the building, and explain the roles of the staff. What stood out most was when she said, I’m not just an employee of Wesley Manor ” I’m a daughter first, and I understand how difficult these decisions can be. That level of compassion meant a lot to us. She took the time to walk us through the admissions process and explained how everything works together, including the support from Trina in Admissions and Katie, the Director of Nursing. Unfortunately, our aunt passed away before we were able to bring her to Wesley Manor. However, during our visit, the staff were incredibly kind, and the residents appeared happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing such a caring environment exists for families facing these important decisions.

Wesley Manor is truly an amazing retirement community. The staff is compassionate, patient, and always goes above and beyond for the residents. My mom Kim Sulzer works here as a Social Service Assistant, and seeing how dedicated she is ” along with the entire team ” gives me so much confidence in the care they provide. You can really feel the warmth, respect, and kindness throughout the building. The residents are treated like family, and it shows in every interaction. I highly recommend Wesley Manor to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be cared for with genuine heart.

My mother has been at Wesley Manor in Aldersgate, their memory care unit, for six months. This is the 4th place she's been in 6 years, and it's the BEST. Aldersgate has the best nurses and aids I've ever encountered. They take great care of her dementia needs in a caring and thoughtful way. I'm glad I finally found such a great place for her.

We moved my mother-in-law to Wesley Manor in March 2024 and have been incredibly impressed with the care she is receiving. The staff is attentive, caring and patient. We see the same friendly faces at every visit and we know this contributes to her comfort. Although the facility is somewhat dated, it is always clean and welcoming.

Wesley Manor is a bright, clean, welcoming facility with very friendly and kind staff. There are many long term employees who have been there for 10 - 20+ years, creating a stable and high performing environment. It's easy to see why they have been awarded one of the World's Best Cultures -- the staff are well trained, engaged and focused on providing great service to residents!

Mom was at Aldersgate for about 6 months before she passed away. The staff were amazing, loving, and helpful! They went above and beyond , especially the last week of her life. Often the staff would stop in to check on her even when they weren’t working. I also loved how the staff eat meals with the residents and talk to the residents like they are still human beings, not just a job. They became family! We love Wesley Manor! It has been a great fit for my mother-in-law. They take the best care of her as she transitions through dementia. The staff are wonderful, considerate and extremely caring for their residents.

My husband entered Wesley Manor in April of 2021 in July I was told by Wesley I had to find a different home. The day after he was informed he went into cardiac arrest and passed away on July 19th. My husband had Parkinson's with dementia. Wesley does not have a facility to take care of patients with dementia. Thank you Sue Meier

Don't let the old negative reviews influence you at all. This place is fantastic. They do a great job. It's hard to be perfect, but they are close, and deserve five stars for what they do well. My Grandmother and step-Grandfather, are and were, well cared for there. I truly believe it's a nice place to be at the stage of life when NICE is needed most.

My mother has never been happier. She was welcomed and made to feel right at home. She loves the outings and other activities they have for the residents. Our whole family is very pleased with the friendly and caring staff. We found a real gem, when we chose to place our mother at Wesley Manor assisted living. It was surprisingly affordable. As a Non-Profit they are truly committed to the residents and not concerned about turning a profit for some distant stock holders. This place is an asset to our entire community. If you are looking for a place fore your elderly family member check them out. I think you will be glad you did.

My friend fell at a nursing home in Louisville- we needed to move him to a place where he would be cared for like family. Trina went above and beyond to find a spot for him. She had the medical team ready for him when he arrived. He was paralyzed on one side and communication was difficult. She was very professional providing guidance and care after he fell and broke his hip at the other nursing home. Thank you and your staff for caring so much for someone important to me.

My parents have been residents in the Wesley Manor patio home for the last four years, and my father had the need to stay in their short term assisted living unit for a month. Their experiences have been wonderful! The patio homes are lovely--spacious and well maintained and set in a park-like setting. The staff is highly responsive, personal, and very kind. I have been consistently impressed, especially with Jerry Hoganson, the president at Wesley Manor who takes a very personal hand in the operations, and models the care and concern that is reflected throughout the staff. Every Friday morning, Jerry makes pancakes for the WM community, and when a main water pipe broke off-site which shut down water at the patio homes, Jerry personally delivered a gallon of water to each property. This is a small, personable retirement community without the bells and whistles of larger, more pricey establishments. Highly recommend!
