She really understood our family's background and wrote a fun story “The Teacher’s New Chapter" and "Rules for a Happy Day” to help with our Mom's experience in Memory Care. My wife and I moved to Wildwood because we anticipated that she would require assisted living in the near future. When it happened more quickly than we had expected Wildwood was very accommodating. She is now receiving the care that she needs, and I am able to see her regularly while remaining in independent living.

Friendly staff and nice property. They feed you non-stop with open dining all day and a stocked snack and drink area that's accessible 24hrs. The social areas are kind of small as well as the exercise area however they do have on site physical therapy. However, they are comparatively quite a bit more expensive and with little to speak of outside areas. While pets are allowed, there's no easy access to outside for pets. Location is also a little remote.

The Wildwood Senior Living is a wonderful place for Senior Living. The Staff are well trained with the educational opportunities to know and understand their residents and how to care for them. The Apartments are very spacious and inviting with housekeeping staff making sure that all Living spaces and Common areas are fresh and inviting. The meals are wonderful and nutritional. They even serve breakfast all day!

I wish everyone could retire like this. This place is pretty great. Residents have their own apartments and can come and go as they like. They have a dining room with a chef and options for meals and snacks. There are activities, including Chair yoga twice a week which is popular, but also a pool aquatic volleyball and a workout room and an outdoor walking track. There's movie night and bingo and everyone is friendly.

My mom chose Wildwood Assisted living after visiting other care facilities. Wildwood caters to their residents. I have never encountered anyone that does not go out of their way for their residents. I couldn’t imagine putting my mom in any other care facility. Wildwood is by far the best care facility in our area.

It’s hard to pick the very best one. So I will have to pick several, the staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and well organized. All of the extra rooms that you could hang out in the library different places to eat the menus were excellent just a top pick for me. I have a few things where I live now to take care of. When I’m ready to move I hope you have a room available. Best regards Sam.

Lucretia Chapman, this review is for you! The recent tornado warning came out of left field on my recent visit with my mom and Lucretia with the team delivered! All residents were swiftly moved to the shelter area, updated with alerts, and provided beverages/snacks. Yes, I want my mom to have yummy food but here's what I want most; I want Mom safe!

I was admitting my Mother to Wildwood Senior Living. Due to incorrect information provided by the transferring facility it appeared I was not going to be able to admit her. Thankfully, The Director of Wellness, Lacretia, stepped in and was able to resolve the issues blocking my Mother's admission. Lacretia is a strong patient advocate and clearly places the highest priority on the good of the patient. She is a great asset to Wildwood and the residents living there.

My parents have lived for a few years in Independent Living at Wildwood. It has been a wonderful experience and dramatically improved their quality of life. The community is truly one of both residents and staff which helped them quickly realize the positive decision they made but were extremely reluctant to make. In addition my father just needed to transition to the Assisted Living wing and the care and ownership of this move was made possible by Head of Operations - Glenda Braun, Director of Wellness - Lucretia Chapman and Business Director - Jennifer Richardson. They and I am sure others were invaluable in making this move as we live out of town and could not be there for the transition. They were examplified a true Spirit of Caring.

Great staff of caring individuals. Very clean and well kept facility with plenty of activities for residents to do. Cafeteria is clean and the food is very good. My dad has lived in the independent living part of the facility for over 2 years now, he really likes his apartment and the friends he's made.

Papa has lived here nearly 3 years in memory care. Wildwood staff have become family. Their dedication and care is unparalleled. He wouldn't get so much genuine love and care anywhere else. I'm positive of that. I can't even begin to thank them all. I burst into tears every time I think of how amazing they are. They genuinely love Papa, too. He is going to be so missed by many, but we have gained so much family through this. There isn't anything we could ask for or change in this difficult end-of-life time. God is good and has worked through these folks to care for our whole family like their own. God bless them!

Ally, Director of Memory Care is upbeat, knowledgeable, and perfect for your loved one that needs extra TLC. Lucretia in Assisted Living is a wealth of knowledge in Senior Care and is always willing to go the extra mile for her residents.

Restaurants are easier to review. Is the food delicious? Is it fresh and fun? Clean? While importance exists in offering insight and suggestion toward the goal of securing a great dining experience brimming with value and quality, it ain't life or death if it goes south. So, The Wildwood. Assisted living, Senior living (whatever we call it now) is a round the clock Groundhog Day quest to keep compromised geriatric residents alive and, well, thriving. This work is not for sissies. The average Target cashier makes more money. The office temp has better hours. The staff and management here at The Wildwood have choices to work where it is not life and death decisions. We have a loved one (LO) here and while there have been a few hiccups, each one was addressed and corrected. Our LO is always clean, always respected, always very well fed, always cared for and each person calls her by name with care....she matters. They have all the current systems in the apartments to keep your LO safe and stable. They endeavor this place feel like home...and it does! They don't take Medicare, so sadly I am sure that's why all the personal attention. But, if mom or grandad struggles at home and u can fund TW living...do it. The best move we made, hard as it was, was to move LO out of her beloved home....The Wildwood is the next best thing. They sure try and succeed for delicious, fresh and fun and clean. But they earn their 5 stars here not for perfection, but for their near perfect systems and oversights and management that keep LO safe as possible, well cared for and loved.

We moved my dad from another assisted living place in Joplin to Wildwood Assisted Living and are very happy. We visit him several times a week so we feel we understand the care he is receiving. Wildwood is beautiful, the food is excellent and the the care is exceptional. My sister and I are very particular about our dad’s care and it’s never been a problem. I recommend a visit and seeing what you can offer your mom/dad.

Mom is currently under the care of this facility as follow up therapy from a surgery. The staff is often inattentive and tardy in responding to her needs. I have personally witnessed them ignoring the obvious cries for assistance an non-life threatening needs of their patients. We accidentally set off the late night exit alarm only to NOT see anyone come attend the scene of what could be a potential disaster. Our Mom is often given mixed information as to her medications which are now inconsistent in both content and delivery time. A press of the call button didn't get a response for almost 1.5 hours so I walked down to the nurses station to see 6 employees socializing. The food is not too hot but when they last escorted her to diner they didn't remember to turn on the oxygen. The resident physician is 2 days overdue for our scheduled 1 week follow up consultation. Hes ordered a completely new medication regime but hasn't been available to consult. Know it sounds like a bunch of little things but it is part of a bigger picture. This place is fairly new and things like these usually dont improve on their own. It's not like I'm seeing suspicious bruising on Mom here but we sure are not seeing a very attentive staff at all-steadily decreasing our confidence in this place!
