The quality of care provided to residents is exceptional. The staff and administration are highly professional. The day shift nurse, Juan, is exceptionally competent and caring. The management staff is responsive to residents’ needs and strictly enforces punctuality among employees. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience as an employee. Charmanie, the Medical director, is the best, along with Halie, the associate Administator . Basra, the associate medical director, is also an asset. I had a pleasant onboarding experience with Robin and Raylyn. I would highly recommend this place for employment. The executive director, administrator, Chris, and food service manager, Patrick, were both welcoming and helpful. Overall, I had a positive experience working here. I enjoyed my brief staff as an employee.

This is a wonderful "Retirement Community." The Staff Members are very personable and very professional. During the recent Hurricane Beryl event, the Staffers did an extraordinary job of ensuring the Residents were safe and well-protected from the external effects of the storm. Electrical power was maintained in the building and the Residents were very pleased with the measures taken to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the storm.

Our mom recently moved to the Village of River Oaks Assisted Living. It's a pristine facility nestled in a beautiful neighborhood of Houston where the staff is warm and caring and the residents are very welcoming. It's been a wonderful experience from our first visit. The onboarding staff is fantastic and has a keen attention to the needs of every resident aiming to make their new home comfortable and pleasant. Not only is the facility tastefully decorated, it is bright and inviting and offers the care that mom needs and a variety of activities that appeal to a community with a wide range of interests. One of the many things that we enjoy at the Village of River Oaks is the way they cater to not only the residents but also to their families. We've enjoyed some delicious meals with mom in the dining room and have observed the staff's kindness towards the residents and their guests making everyone feel part of this wonderful community. We are very thankful to have found this oasis where mom can feel safe, valued, respected, and happy.

My mother has now passed on, and the VORO was an ideal location for her final chapter. I did find it odd that the administration of the facility seemed to want to micromanage our clearing out her apartment, repeatedly asking when things would be out after the question had been answered several times.

What a beautiful, accommodating, and full-service community! I toured The Village of River Oaks with my mother and was assisted by Jeremy Broussard. Transitioning an older loved one to a new living arrangement can be tough on a family and of course our loved one, but the team at River Oaks can make it so much better for all involved. It is absolutely gorgeous, well-appointed and offers all the services needed for independent living. You can feel the warmth and care the staff has for the residents—that alone is invaluable! I will recommend The Village of River Oaks to anyone who is ready to make the move to an independent living community.

On a tour and was shown the daily menu, all unhealthy items were marked heart healthy and all heart healthy items were not designated as such. Just another place that tries to trick and ripoff seniors. SAD. Landscaping and Jimmy the valet were nice though. Avoid the predatory Village of River Oaks.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a family member that is a resident of the Village of River Oaks in Houston, TX and I must say that it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every resident felt special and valued. The level of care and attention to detail that goes into creating a welcoming and inclusive environment is truly remarkable. One aspect that stood out to me was the wide range of special events and activities that are organized for the residents. The staff at the Village of River Oaks understands the importance of keeping their residents engaged and entertained, and they certainly deliver in this department. The events I have attended have all been top-notch, offering a diverse range of options to suit all interests and preferences. Of particular note was the clam bake event that took place on August 24, 2023. The attention to detail was astonishing, leaving no stone unturned. From the beautifully decorated tables to the delectable seafood dishes, every aspect of the event was meticulously planned and executed. It was evident that the staff truly cared about creating a memorable experience for everyone in attendance. What impressed me the most was the level of service and care that the staff provided throughout the entire event. They were constantly checking in with residents, ensuring that their needs were met and that they were comfortable. The genuine warmth and dedication exhibited by the staff made the atmosphere feel intimate and inviting, further enhancing the overall experience.

We assist the residents in making sure their furry companions are fresh and clean and when picking up or dropping off, you can see how the staff are very aware of visitors and familiar faces to ensure the safety of the residents. The staff were all genuinely caring and kind to my mother. They worked hard to be sure she was comfortable and were careful to invite her personally to participate in the activities. When they discovered "My Fair Lady" was one of her favorite movies, they were happy to show it again for her. The Village of River Oaks even offers valet parking, which is a great help when you're juggling the shopping, a walker, and an exhausted parent. I highly recommend The Village of River Oaks.

I was welcomed graciously, when I approached the information desk. Instructions for locating my friend (the patient) were immediately and clearly provided. I was able to locate my friend's room, with no problems whatsoever. My friend, who is a patient at Methodist now, was a volunteer at Methodist for many years. My mother-in-law moved to the Village of River Oaks just about one year ago, and the staff has been outstanding in helping her adjust to the new routine, which is tough for her with some short-term memory challenges. The staff and the communication have been BEYOND outstanding during this whole Covid-19 challenge -- they have kept our loved ones safe in the most difficult circumstances. There has not been a single outbreak in the community, thanks to their stringent and yet caring policies. The activities staff rose to the challenge by doing individual and tiny group activities, even figuring out virtual activities for a bunch of 80-90 year olds!!! They have kept my mother-in-law engaged even though she may stay to herself when left to her own devices. They post on FaceBook, which helps our family members far away know that she is well cared for and still active. Thank you so much to VORO and the staff for being the best place for my mother-in-law.

In spite of being rather confined due to the virus the activities are happening, we are wearing masks and being socially distant but there seems to be lots going on. We had a tea last week, bagels and coffee earlier this week and there is a Happy Hour each week. Once again we can get into the pool, but only 4 residents at a time. That seems to be working well.

During the new normal at my Mothers Village- the silver linings have become apparent! Not only have they prevented the corona virus spread with distancing socially and screens- they have taken the extra steps- delivering trays to their apartments- pill services and fun door to door activities like coke floats and Happy hour carts- entertaining and fun- and always a surprise- my hope that is after the restrictions ease- these new things will remain as normal- as they have been a true God send for Momma! t takes a Village and yours is the Best- GREAT leadership! ♥ Thank you

My grandmother moved to this facility about two years ago, and she loves it. The staff is kind and warm, they always have activities for their residents, the food is varied and not your typical retirement fare (although my grandmother was a gourmet cook in her own home, and says the food is bland for the folks who cant handle it). I love visiting. The view from her room is gorgeous, and it doesnt feel like a retirement community at all. Clean, modern, elegant rooms with floor to ceiling windows and plenty of light. It is a bright, happy place and Im glad my grandmother found it.
