The elderly care industry is a competitive and expansive business in the state of Florida. Finding assisted living or memory care facilities is an emotional and expensive process for the family. Fortunately, there are good options in the state, but also some lacking ones. I will review the latter: The Brennity at Tradition in Port Saint Lucie. If you are taken by its public area furnishings, landscaping, and promises of top-level care, PLEASE READ THIS. I would summarize our experience as: Maximum Promises, Minimum Delivery. Beware of the ‘Top-Level Care Plan’. We removed our loved one after only 4 days! If your loved one needs consistent assistance every day with undressing and dressing, brushing teeth and mouth-washing each morning and night, showering, help getting in and out of bed, and help preparing food bites then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one needs consistent help toileting several times per day, changing elderly underpants, good hygiene after toileting then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If you want your loved one to reside at a facility that somewhat understands his/her condition/dementia/malady and knows how to deal with those conditions as promised, then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one sometimes opts for meals in the room, beware that the meal will come sometimes incomplete, in a Styrofoam container with plastic utensils and arrive cold. If you don’t want this then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. If your loved one requires a consistent, committed level of supervision, care, engagement, and overall concern from the nursing staff then - DO NOT GO TO BRENNITY. We will compliment the helpful and congenial dining room staff, as well as the Physical Therapy team. Overall, there was a disconnect between the care represented during the admission process and the care being delivered. After 4 days including concerning emails and a meeting, we felt that The Brennity was not the appropriate environment to adequately meet our loved one’s care and supervision needs. JUST BEWARE.

I was very impressed with my visit to The Brennity. The facility is very clean and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. My family member was very difficult and Alex was was there to assist in any way he could. My family also had lunch in the dining room and the food was great. This facility is very lucky to have people like Geraldine & Alex working with them!!

My family recently had to make the very difficult and painful decision to place my father into a memory care facility. We were overwhelmed, frightened, and grieving when we began exploring placement options. And then we met Alex. During our first visit, he patiently answered my list of over 60 questions, and treated us with immense compassion and respect. Brennity itself is a beautiful place, classically styled and beautifully maintained. It looks and smells clean, with no hint of medicinal odor, even on the memory care ward. When it was time to move my father in, Alex, Darlene, Mayte, and the memory care staff were all incredibly helpful, communicative, and supportive. Their kindness, organization, and attention to detail made the process of bringing my father to Brennity - one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do - go smoothly and well. Since moving in, I've received regular calls, texts messages, and photos and videos of my father from Mayte. He is thriving there, and the level of individual attention and support he is receiving is beyond what I had hoped for. I can't recommend Brennity at Tradition enough. For my family, the staff are angels on earth.

I dont know anything about the facility but what I do know is trying to get information is difficult at best. I spoke with several people to get help with a specific problem I had and no one would help me. And I spoke to a receptionist,unfortunately I did not catch her name who was rude and hung up on me. And I called back several times and refused to answer the phone. That is poor customer service

I was highly impressed. It is very clean and well laid out. You almost get the feeling like you're walking into Caesars Palace. Everyone was super friendly, they have fantastic service, and what I found to be super impressive was the memory care unit.

I had the pleasure of touring this beautiful community with Geraldine, and I was absolutely blown away. From the independent and assisted living areas to the main grounds, everything was stunning. The property is expansive, thoughtfully developed, and truly feels like a peaceful retreat. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere”so warm, welcoming, and family-oriented, yet still very professional. The staff were genuinely happy, and the residents looked joyful, well cared for, and at home. Geraldine was an incredible guide”she’s knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. She explained everything thoroughly and helped me understand how the logistics and different unit options work. The pricing was very fair, especially considering the quality of life offered here. As a real estate broker, I’ve seen a lot, and I can honestly say I’m fully impressed. This is a place I will strongly consider for my own mother and wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking independent or assisted living. Hello, I am writing to share my positive experience at the Brennity at Tradition. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the happy and professional atmosphere. The memory care unit is always immaculately clean, and the residents appear genuinely content with the variety of programs available to them. The staff and director, Mayte truly go above and beyond for their residents, including my loved one. The quality of food served at the Brennity at Tradition is exceptional. The executive director exudes professionalism, the saleswoman is helpful and funny, and the overall atmosphere of the place is top-notch. I would give this place a perfect 10 if I could. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a caring and supportive community for their loved ones.

2922 Update In the last few years the Brennity staff has undergone change due to the sale of the company a few times. Unfortunately, because of this, the service and food has dramatically dropped for those in independant living. Residents are nickle and dimed for everything. Not the way it should be for any resident living out their days. The food is always cold when brought to the table and with little variety. How hard is it to give residents nutritious foods such as beets, olives and artichokes? And what happened to bread being on the table and maybe have a variety of deserts to chose from? They also fail to train their servers on to how to accomodate senior residents. It's a shame. There used to be internet access and a computer room for the elderly to use. Now there is none. You used to be able to get 1 complimentary glass of wine served with your dinner, now you are charged $4,00 for a cheap wine that tastes like vinegar. I will say though, that the activities are wonderful. They have a lovely supportive staff who is friendly, accomodately and go out of there way to help the residents needs. They just don't have enouph activities to keep the residents occupied throughout the week or for longer periods of time. I'm terribly dissappointed in this place. As the rents go up... the ammenities go down. Don't our parents deserve more? The employees here are wonderful. From the wait staff to the cleaning staff to maintenance to upper management they are all caring and helpful. Around every corner is a warm smile and hello. My mother has been an independant resident for 9 years and I feel safe that she is living here surrounded by the friendly staff. Mom passed peacefully in her chair just the way she wanted it. I was with her. We had a memorial there for her a few days later. Unfortunately, and I do not know why... the director and staff never said a kind thing to me, though I was her caregiver and daughter for years and had a good relationship with all of the staff. I am deeply hurt. And so would my beloved mother have been. Live and miss you Mom lots.

I am pleased with the staff, the building, and the service. The building has PLENTY of space, filled with so many activities and events. All of the residents there are full of life and seem to really enjoy it here! Highly recommended!!!!

Although it is hard to come to this decision for a loved family member-finding the Right Fit is essential. After a year as a resident my mother says , this police is beautiful and the people are so nice! There is nothing more comforting to the family than hearing these words! My mother is 93 and in the Oathways community with memory issues.

I am writing this review for the Brennity at Tradition. I can’t say enough about how well they treat their residents. Finding a safe place for our loved ones SHOULD be an easy enough thing to dobut anyone who has had to actually do so knows that finding a place is easybut finding a place that actually takes care of their residents and fills their days with activities that stimulate their minds and gives them the highest quality of life possible in their final years, is very difficult. Many places, although meeting the bare minimum standards of the statedo not really go above and beyond in the performance of their duties and responsibilities. That however, is absolutely not the case at the Brennity in Tradition. My aunt spent the last two years of her life there and they were absolute angel’s to her in every way. As I live nearby and was very close to my auntI visited her there often and every time I stopped by, many times unannouncednever once did I see her not being well taken care ofthat is especially true of their director of memory care, Mayte. Mayte is truly an exceptional director of their memory care unit and really goes above and beyond. She is at LEAST in the top 10% of anyone who holds her position anywhere and my only hope is that her pay package reflects this because she is definitely worth every penny she makes and more! How do you put a price on happiness for the last few years of your final years? That is what Mayte and her staff did for my aunt and my family and we will never forget that! All I can say is that I cannot give a higher recommendation to anyone than I would give to Mayte and her staff at the brennitythey definitely care about their residents and it shows in all they do! If you are looking for a safe place for your loved onewhere they will be both safe and happy for their remaining yearslook no furtherThe Brennity is it. Very Sincerely, Aaron S.

My wife and I have been at the Brennity for 8yr and we both enjoy the place. The food area is not consistent in quality all the time. The help that waits on us are all great. My remark about getting our moneys worth remains the same. I hope that if our rent continues to be increased that the food selections and quality goes up accordingly. We hope that Brennity continues to improve because we both love the place.

Pros: The memory care unit staff are wonderful and caring, especially Mayte who makes the difference! She is an outstanding role model who genuinely loves her residents and takes the time to make each one feel special and loved. Without her, the place would be average. The PT/OT staff are superb. Cons: Needs more staff. Also, the place is too isolated. Residents in memory care need to be out and about more often.. Would be nice to bring in children and young adults in an adopt a person-type program or other activity or entertainment.

My wife Alba and have been living at the Brennity for eight months. We are very happy we chose to live here. The act-ivies are well coordinated, The food is excellent, Services on cleaning and maintaince are also very excellent. All personal and staff very friendly and courteous. The whole atmosphere here is very tranquil and serene.

The Brennity is a lovely facility accommodating various levels of care. The staff is delightful as are the residents. When we moved in and were first introduced to the residents at dinner several couples approach to ask us to please have dinner with them that week. Residents are charming and. always with ready smiles. Give Brennity a look if you are looking for an agency able to take care of you and any needs you may have.
