From the minute we toured RRII right up to the last time we closed the door to their suite for the last time recently, our family has felt incredibly blessed to have received the highest standard of care from ALL the staff at RRII. Not only were my parents treated with the exceptional care/concern but, never did we witness/experience anything less than towards other residents. Heartfelt thank you to Chassity McIntyre (Lifestyle Director) & staff, Raoul Belinario (Director of Care) & staff, the Front Reception Staff, the Housekeeping/Laundry staff/Food/Dining staff and Maintenance. Each and every one of you have helped make the world brighter for my parents and for our family

My dad was lucky to become a resident of River Ridge II on the secure living neighborhood, 2 South in December 2024. Chassity, Lifestyle Director, was the person who helped us with all our questions and provided a tour. She was and is an absolute gem! You can tell she is very passionate about her job and all the residents who live there. As we walked through the building on our tour, she greeted the residents she encountered by name, which really impressed me. Her main concern was taking the stress off of us, and doing everything she could to make sure that my dad would be well taken care of when he moved in. The facility itself is very bright and welcoming. When we walked through the front doors, it felt warm and homey, and I knew my dad would feel comfortable there. All the staff are very friendly. The day we moved my dad in, everyone came around and introduced themselves including Chris, Maintenance Director, who made sure that all was good with my dad’s suite. Telling us that if we needed anything to let him know. I felt that the staff who cared for my dad actually cared about him. Sometimes dealing with a person with dementia can be difficult, but the staff were always cheerful and dealt with him with compassion and understanding. Special mention to Gurmit on 2 South and Tracy, one of the entertainment coordinators, both who always went above and beyond. I was also impressed with the variety of activities and entertainment offered to the residents. There was always something going on. No reason to be bored. The residents can partake in as little or as much as they wanted. Although my dad’s stay at River Ridge II was only a few months (due to his placement becoming available), I will forever be grateful for our experience there.

A true team effort is provided inside and outside of the facility. If there were not enough the residents are just as wonderful with everyone working together to make life better for all. Awesome group and I was so lucky to find this place.

Our uncle was to be admitted into a Personal Care Home and at the last moment we were introduced to the Memory Care unit at River Ridge 2. The Lifestyle Director was very helpful and pleasant to work with during the admission process and continues to answer any questions we may have. Our uncle enjoys the modern facilities and is appreciative of the attention the staff give him for his needs. It is reassuring for us to know that the on-site nurses truly care about our uncle’s health and communicate any changes that occur. This is definitely a positive living arrangement for our uncle and we whole heartedly recommend this facility!

Staff is wonderful and caring! My dad moved in there because he wasn’t eating properly, wasn’t socializing very much, and was starting to have falls. It was a big relief to us to have him there and know someone was doing wellness checks on him 3 times a day. He was eating with other people and there are many events that take place to participate in. Later on he had to move into a memory unit there and the staff there on pod 1 were super nice and caring! The care is absolutely excellent! My only regret is that my dad didn’t want to move into River Ridge 2 when we first had a tour there. He woulda been there 2 years earlier and it would have been so beneficial for him to have been there earlier. Sometimes the older people can be a bit stubborn when it comes to their care. I would like to thank all the staff at River Ridge 2, especially the staff in pod 1 and of course Chassity for all their care and concern for my dad while he was there and who has now transitioned to a care home.

My mom just moved into River Ridge II a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. She is socializing and talking more with others, eating better, and receiving the much needed care that we were hoping for. The decision to move our mother to a facility outside of the family home was not made lightly however, I can see now that it was the right one. People like Chassity, Laney, Eric, Gurpreet, Lisa and so many others that are part of the team have made this step so much easier and understand the needs of their clients. Their professionalism and kindness has exceeded our expectations and hopes. Mom had her hair washed and blow dried in the salon today and yesterday enjoyed a concert with some of the other residents. We can visit whenever we want (which is often) and even take meals with her if we like. Thank you so much to everyone at River Ridge II for caring so much.

Obviously, getting Mom into a memory care facility three days ago has been a painful and complicated process, but the results so far have exceeded our best hopes. She had been eating less and less all the time over the past few months, but so far she has happily eaten EVERYTHING on her plate at every meal. Incredible. I went for my second visit yesterday, but she wasn't in her room, which was surprising. Turned out she was in the lounge with four other people playing a game. I had hoped that over time she might start to come out of her shell a bit, but in my wildest dreams I never imagined that it would happen already on her second day. I know today is only day three, and for all I know it could be the worst visit of all time, but for there to be such amazing improvements in her quality of life in the first two days, I know that there will be brighter days ahead as well. Chassity, Edwina, Eric, and Lacey have all been amazing. I can't express what a relief it is to know that when I am at work she is being taken such good care of.

Our 95-year-old mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2023, and was already living in Assisted Senior Living. She was faring well until the end of summer, when we started seeing that the dementia was giving her new challenges. We needed to think about what her new (and future) needs would be and felt that she would need to be in a place that would provide 24-hour support (and even checking in on her every hour over night) - as well as provide all meals, laundry, cleaning services, and physical activity and entertainment. Most of our family lives in places scattered around Canada and the USA, so we needed peace of mind while ensuring that Mom would be safe, comfortable and happy. I live in Europe, so came over to Winnipeg at the beginning of November 2023 to see how I could help. Rather than stay in a hotel for several weeks, I luckily was able to be in the Guest Suite in RR2, located in the “Memory Care Boulevard” on the 2nd floor. This gave me the rare opportunity of actually staying in one of the suites and eating the food (reasonably priced with a nice choice of alternative offerings) -as well as interacting with staff (all “friends” now!). The Boulevard is for a maximum of 12 residents on the North side and 12 residents on the South; with a lovely private dining room for each side. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Zdenka, Head of Housekeeping, who was amazing and made me feel like family - always doing extra! My brother and I met with Chassity, Lifestyle Director, and she made things work in record time to get Mom moved into Memory Care at the end of the month! (including organizing the moving company). Chassity was always going “the extra mile” and seemed to have an answer/solution for anything. The suite was perfect for Mom’s needs - especially right off the bedroom was the washroom and a huge walk-in shower so there was minimal walking and no obstacles to get to the washroom. Another bonus for our peace of mind were the two nurses covering 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week (Linda and Lisa). They would visit spontaneously, or if we called, would come directly to Mom’s suite and answer questions or provide help with whatever was necessary. Signing Mom up with the Doctor’s services was also an excellent idea because upon appointment, Dr Jaramillo would make visits directly to the Suite to see Mom by appointment once or twice a month. Mom didn’t have to get bundled up and be driven to lab tests, vaccines, blood and urine samples or to see the doctor. The entertainment team were fun and friendly and encouraged Mom to do various activities. Mom loved music and enjoyed playing the piano, so all of a sudden an electric keyboard showed up in the dining room for use by the residents - Mom was so happy! Unfortunately, she couldn’t play like she used to. But this shows how they truly try to provide for individual needs/wishes - without being asked! Marla’s Hair Salon - inside the building - was where Mom had wonderful pedicures and manicures as well as hair treatments. It is very comforting to know that it’s a safe, supportive, and very caring environment for your loved ones. A big thank you to all staff at River Ridge 2 for caring for her so well and making it her “home”. We really wish we had moved her there earlier so that she could have enjoyed it to the fullest extent while her dementia was milder… Sorry not to name everyone here - they’re ALL amazing! I call it my “home” in Canada now… Do take a look at their Facebook posts!

Our family is so grateful for the wonderful caring and assistance provided to our Mom, Sylvia, during her final years, by all of the staff of River Ridge. We felt that she was being kept so incredibly safe that it provided a great comfort to the entire family. The compassion showed by all of the staff to our Mom was amazing. Mom made some great friends at River Ridge and was very thankful for the wonderful programs provided. A huge "thank you" to all the staff.

Sorry but I have not have the same experience. Company is extremely money hungry staff can barely speak English and cannot even assist the resident that I’ve been diagnosed with dementia and early onset Alzheimer’s, therefore causing more confusion, cutbacks terrible place. My parents are coherent but they’re therefore a reason because of their past health issues and they see everything that’s going on the good staff doesn’t stay because they deserve to be treated better.

We moved my husband's Aunt into RRII last May and it has been excellent. We were out of Country at the time but met with Chassity (Lifestyle Director) before we left. She showed us all around the Residence and answered all our questions and concerns. While we were out of town Chassity continued to keep in touch through email and managed to get us a place for our Aunt. During the move everyone was very accommodating, even providing a moving company to handle the move. The residence has an awesome staff right from the minute you are greeted upon entering to the cleaning staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, as we were able to have a meal there, and has a variety of choices everyday. They have plenty of activities from entertainment daily, bus trips, movie theatre, exercise room as well as arts and crafts. They provide a monthly sheet with the daily activities as well as another with the daily food menus. The rooms are very spacious with a bedroom, private bath, living area, small kitchen area and plenty of storage. As our Aunt has early dementia the staff is very helpful with any issues that arise, from looking for "lost" remotes to telephones. They are very good at handling this type of illness. If you are looking into getting a loved one into an assisted living situation I would highly recommend River Ridge II. In our, my husband and I, opinion this is the best place in the city.

River Ridge II is a wonderful retirement residence and community. My father moved to RR2 during the height of the pandemic after a serious health scare. The staff were incredible at answering all our questions and accommodating our requests in order to make the transition as smooth as possible. The care demonstrated by the staff is genuine and my heart always felt lighter when I walked in the door because I knew my father was in a safe place where he flourished. I highly recommend RR2 to anyone and their families who are looking to transition to Assisted Living. You won't regret it.

River Ridge II has been a beacon of light for our family. Transitioning our loved one, with dementia, between provinces and the health care system over the last two years has been stress free with the professional team at River Ridge II. Our loved one has been extremely well cared for and provided a much higher quality of life than we could have ever imaged. The support to our family has been a God send.

I was very apprehensive to uproot my father and his wife who have dementia and place them in a facility even though I knew it was the right thing to do for them. The staff were so very friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly supportive through the whole process. They were fabulous with me initially during the first tour, then with arranging to have their belongings packed and moved to River Ridge II, to welcoming my father and his wife. I was so worried the transition would take a long time for both of them but within a couple days they were quite settled. They have been there for 6 months now and it was the best thing that could have happened for them. They eat regularly, have contact with other people and are able to participate in activities. All this helping them to live the best life they can while living with dementia. Things don't always run smooth but the staff is always willing to help solve problems if they turn up. The caring from the staff is very reassuring and appreciated.

The rooms and facility are very nice and clean. Working with Chassity was great as she took the time to go over details to accommodate my father-in-law. We were impressed with the different levels of care and safety measured available to ensure residents are safe and well cared for.

Mom moved into RR2 after my dad went to Deer Lodge, leaving their home of over 60 years. Best move ever! She made so many friends, it's like a small community. Her friends from before were of the same age and due to driving restrictions, getting together was hard so her social circle expanded greatly at RR2. When my dad passed, she was supported by other widowed residents. After a few years she had to be moved to the secure area where she lived for another few years having a quality of life not available in a personal care home. The staff were so kind and caring, keeping me in the loop when needed. Even in the secure area she still participated in activities, keeping her more mobile than she would have been on her own. Balloon Ball was a favourite. As we've recently had to move her to a personal care home, I was surprised at the number of staff that stopped me in the halls while I was cleaning out her apartment, to inquire about her and share stories of her time there with me. I credit RR2 with providing my mom some of the best years of her life.

Our family did our research and on paper RR2 checked all the boxes for what everyone would want for their loved ones. Moving in the December pre-holiday period, during a Covid-19 epidemic could not have made their job any easier to surpass my high expectations. Chassity and her team stepped up and passed the test by helping us out with every detail. Their experienced team acts more like family when it comes to helping out my mother with a few special needs due to medical restrictions. The front desk staff are so good at keeping an eye out for everyone, making sure no one ever misses a meal by losing track of time. All the staff in the Dining Room greet each guest and treat everyone with respect. The maintenance team are always friendly and go above and beyond when it comes to taking care of residents needs and even lent me a tool on move in day. We celebrate on mom’s cleaning day when the ladies come in with their warm greetings. Even though everyone is forced to wear masks, you can actually still see the cheek muscles raising from the smile on their faces. I suggest anyone that goes for a tour make sure you say “Hello” to a few of the residents to see how pleasant and happy they are, which I think may be a reflection on the facility. Don’t be afraid to ask Chassity those tough to approach questions. The RR2 works very closely with the W.R.H.A. and Chassity could provide some good guidance as to where the boundaries are between the two groups when you may not be clear on who to contact for any services.

Our Father had been in Concordia Hospital since October 31 with some confusion issues. We received permission to get him out of the hospital on Dec 15th if we could provide/find fulltime care. How do we find a place on such short notice? We were concerned that we would not be able to get him moved in to a place before Christmas. My Dad has a close friend staying at RR2 and we heard great things about the facility. A tour of the facilities and a couple of the open apartments was arranged. We were very impressed. We picked an apartment and stood back while Chassity guided us through getting our Father moved in by December 23rd. We just couldn't believe all the support and help we received. Unbelievable. He is so happy now we just can't thank the Team at RR2 enough. PS. My Dad also commented on how friendly all the tenants are!

There are so many wonderful things I could say about River Ridge II but I will start with a short one for those who like to get straight to the point and another for those who want more detail. In short, run, don't walk to RR II for a tour for your loved one(s). I guarantee that Chassity and her team will welcome you with warm, open arms and it will be the best decision you will make!! Having someone care and watch over mom in addition to her own family is the best gift we could have been given!!! Longer...I toured RR II without my folks a few times and honestly couldn't have been more impressed from the moment I walked in the door. Is it beautiful, YES, of course, but that wasn't what impressed me, it was all the smiles on the residents and staff. The happiness you see is because the residents feel cherished and special because RR II staff ensures that they are!! Mom is the happiest and healthiest I have seen her in years!! Before she moved to RR II she was surviving, barely, now...she is absolutely THRIVING!!! To see her laughing and smiling everyday is a gift in itself! She went to RR II without knowing a soul and now has friends and is enjoying life like she deserves to enjoy it. Staff- outstanding!! Food-outstanding!! Accommodations-outstanding!! Entertainment-outstanding!! Care taking/cleaning-outstanding!! Give Chassity a call and book a tour now, you won't regret it, I promise you!!

This past summer (2021) I researched many Assisted Living facilities in Winnipeg for my elderly parents. From the initial contact via phone in Ontario to visiting River Ridge II in person three times, my interactions with Chassity McIntyre were simply excellent. She went above and beyond my expectations. Her knowledge, honesty, compassion and energy helped me navigate a daunting task. Even though my parents opted for another facility in their neighbourhood, River Ridge II was a real contender due in large part to Chassity's efforts. I can confidently recommend River Ridge II to any family / friends thinking about this life transition. Thanks Chassity!

RR2 is an amazing place. My experience with my mother being there is nothing short of amazing. This place is filled with angels at every level. We brought my Mom from another province to this place about two years ago. The front staff were amazing in putting us to ease about her care. The proof came in the following years. With her failing health, they helped us transition her from one area to another area of RR2. Best move we ever made. Thanks RR2 for being the angels surrounding her as she lives out her final years.

4 years ago, after my father suffered a severe concussion and became wheelchair-bound, he could not go back home. After a six-week hospital stay, we moved he and my Mom into River Ridge II Assisted Living. My Mom’s commentary after seeing it for the first time was “It’s like a cruise ship that doesn’t move!”. In the 4 years of living at River Ridge II they formed strong bonds (as did we!) with the staff as well as many of the other residents. I regularly flew in from Toronto and stayed at the residence to visit with my folks and I cannot begin to sing the praises of the facility! The staff are warm and nurturing and without a doubt deeply care for all of their residents. The food is always delicious, and the activities are fun and engaging. Most importantly we slept well know that our parents were safe. Throughout the difficult time of the past year and some of the pandemic, the staff bent over backwards to try and minimize the impact on their residents. They worked tirelessly to keep them entertained as best they could, given all of the lockdown restrictions. They went above and beyond in attempts to keep residents connected with family. Recently we’ve had to move my mother to personal care as her care needs became more than what was manageable in assisted living. Saying goodbye to the River Ridge II team was so difficult! We will miss their smiling faces and their loving natures. And of course, we cannot thank them all for the past 4 years plus of peace of mind knowing our parents were in such good hands. We moved my father to another building run by All Seniors Care and he already loves it; they are just as accommodating as River Ridge II. If you are considering an Assisted Living facility for yourself or family members – consider River Ridge II where the smiles are as warm as the food and the care is compassionate and sincere.

Recently I found myself unexpectedly having to immediately deal with the long term care needs for my mother after an accident and the associated acceleration of her existing dementia. The pandemic, as we all know, throws unbelievable complications into everything. Navigating the care options available for my mother is not as simple as Googling “help me with my mom please”. The system is complicated and confusing at the best of times and when you are dealing with someone’s care important and stressful to get it right. I opted to talk to someone live to get some insight after having navigated the net for a while to my overall frustration. I made a cold call to River Ridge 2 as they were in my neighbourhood. I was directed to Chassity McIntrye the Lifestyle Director at River Ridge. While I was expecting Chassity to sell me on their solution I was more than pleasantly surprised with her kindness, compassion and advice. Chassity listened and honestly cared about what I had to say and how I was feeling. She took an inordinate amount of her time to speak to me and consistently followed up with me on how I was doing. While River Ridge turned out not to be the right solution for my mother, without Chassity’s help I wouldn’t have been able to find the right solution and feel good about that solution. I’m eternally in her debt for being the right person at the right time for what she did for me. I’d not hesitate to recommend to anyone to speak to her about what River Ridge could offer given her professionalism and overall human decency. Chassity is a strong ambassador for River Ridge, evidencing how people should be treated regardless of the immediate financial outcomes to them or their employer.

Parents have been there 2 years, and I can confidently say that we are so pleased with the level of care they are getting there. This is why: Continental breakfast served lunch & dinner daily weekly suite cleaning bedding and towels laundered at no additional charge free machines on each floor for other laundry 24/7 nurse onsite Doctor that comes to the building throughout the week onsite hair & nail technicians can ALWAYS call for a safety check if you can't reach your family a director that genuinely cares (Lori) & it shows with the staff as well COVID safe events for residents no tripping hazards - all flooring one level, railings for additional support emergency pulls in every room in case they need assistance It's a fantastic place that gives the rest of the family great peace of mind that our parents are safe and well cared for.

We love River Ridge II! We have family in the building and they love living there. They are always telling us about all the fun they have, great staff, and great food! Thank you River Ridge II for all you do. It puts my mind at ease having my family in such a great place, especially considering everything that is going on with CoVid-19. I have felt so safe having my family there during this time. I recommend this Retirement Residence to everyone!

After a lengthy hospital stay it was evident prior to discharge that my dad required some extra care, his dementia was progressing so we needed to find a secure, comfortable place for him to live. My family toured River Ridge II – Boulevard North and were very pleased after speaking with Chassity and nurse Cydney that the Blvd North was able to accommodate my dads needs. All of the staff on the 2nd floor Blvd North are so caring and compassionate, and dad is getting the care he needs. Throughout COVID 19 all of the staff at River Ridge II have been so supportive and caring. It is a difficult time for families when we are not able to see our loved ones, however the staff have been and continue to be our extended family: our eyes and ears, communicating with us and being there for dad and for us whenever we need them. We can rest assured knowing that dad is being well looked after by our River Ridge II family when we cannot be there. Thank you to Lori and all of her staff at RR, for the care you provide it has been top notch! If you are looking for a safe, comfortable place for your loved ones I recommend contacting Chassity at River Ridge II and booking a tour. You will not be disappointed.

My parents and I checked out several residences before finding RR2 which was the one where they both felt most at home. It took a few more years before they were ready to move in and unfortunately that was during the first wave of the pandemic which raised many more questions that we would never have thought to ask in the beginning. Thank goodness RR2 had a good plan in place and Chastity took the time to walk me through their stringent procedures and reassured our family that they would be well cared for, even under these trying circumstances, and that it was still safe to move in.. They moved in on September 1st when the province’s numbers were low so my dog Lexus and I were able to visit frequently and get to know several staff and see the humanness they bring while providing professional care. They really care about their residents and this shines through and they work hard to build a team of support with the family. Although it has been more stressful now that the provincial health restrictions do not allow me to visit in person with my folks, our FaceTime calls let me know that they are managing well and that the staff at RR2 are taking great care of them and going that extra mile to keep them safe. I also asked my parents for their thoughts and here is how they feel about RR2: Life at RR2 has been very different from what was anticipated prior to moving in September 1st 2020. Of course the surge in the world-wide epidemic has turned life upside down for everyone. We recognize the need for strong actions given the heavy responsibilities facing the staff at RR2. And, in fact, we greatly appreciate the efficiency, openness and pleasantness of the entire staff. We thank you for all for doing all possibly can under these difficult times. Keep up the good work! As mom is 88 and recently widowed we were looking for a place to move her into that would offer 24 hour support and assistance, a place that would provide cleaning, meals and companionship. We wanted to have peace of mind that she was being taken care of since we couldn’t be with her all the time ourselves. We talked to Chassity, Lifestyle Director at River Ridge 2, and she went over everything they had to offer and we decided that it had all we were looking for. We moved mom from Thompson, Manitoba into River Ridge 2 in August 2020. She left all her friends and the life and community she had known since moving there in 1967 and was now going to be living all on her own in a place that she wasn’t familiar with, in an entirely new city where didn’t know anyone other than us. It was in between the first and second waves of COVID so we were able to visit with her and help her get settled at least a little, but she was sad, scared and lonely and didn’t want to leave her suite. It was truly heartbreaking. This was not home, home was still Thompson. All the staff at River Ridge were very patient, understanding and encouraging with her and it was Chassity that finally managed to get mom out of her suite and go to the dining room to have her meals. Mom likes all of the staff at River Ridge, although she has difficulty remembering all their names. She said they all know her name and are very pleasant, friendly, caring and will take a few moments out of their busy days to chat for a minute or two and share a laugh. They were there to help her when she couldn’t get her tv on, and when she needed help to adjust her thermostat as she has difficulty with her eyesight. Their Health & Wellness team even went to help her put up her Christmas tree and decorate her suite as sadly due to COVID we cannot be there. Mom is starting to call River Ridge home and we’re quite happy about that. Thank you to all staff at River Ridge 2 for caring as if they were your own parents, especially during these trying times!

We moved our Great-Aunt into RiverRidge II at the end of March, right when Covid -19 restrictions came into play. It was a stressful time, but the support and guidance from the Lifestyle Director Chasity and the other administration there made the move manageable. The moving company that was suggested by RiverRidge II (LeapFrog Moving Specialists) came into her apartment and guided us through the moving process. On moving day, they packed up her old apartment and had her new place set up, so that when she came in and saw her apartment, she could feel right at home. Not only is RiverRidge II a beautiful establishment, with many different activities and supports there; but the people who manage the responsibility of taking care of our loved ones are exceptional. Even though this can be a difficult time for seniors to transition into a new place with a lot of changes - more compounded with Covid-19 - the people at RiverRidge II made her feel welcome and cared for. From the managers to the receptionists, the maintenance people and all the other people that worked there, I saw them stop to introduce themselves on the first couple of days. On future visits, I saw them stop to talk to her in the hallways, dining room or lobby areas while consistently calling her by name. It is the little things that make you feel like you have made the right choice with RIverRidge II. As we continued to work on getting our Great-Aunt settled in, there were issues with cable and phone, but RiverRidge II worked with the companies and I in order to make sure that she had the services she needed. The people there worked with her to become more comfortable and work up her endurance, in order to begin her new higher quality of life. I would recommend RiverRidge II to families looking for a safe and caring environment for their family members as they move to the next stage of their lives.

I moved our father to River Ridge 2 at the beginning of October and from the initial meeting with Chassity I knew I had found the right place for him. The Executive Director, Lori, took time from her schedule to ensure she stopped by and introduce herself to welcome Dad and the family to RR2. The family has self- and family-managed care and the Nursing Manager immediately sat down with me to discuss how our two teams could work together to help meet Dad’s needs. Since that time, COVID has changed everyone’s lives, and yet the Boulevard One North staff, Kim (Nurse Manager), and the front reception staff have given us unmeasurable support and reassurance he is doing well although we are unable to see him. The facility and staff have done their utmost to ensure the residents and staff are in a safe place and have been very accommodating to help us ensure Dad and our HC team receive the supplies needed for his care during this unprecedented time. It is very comforting to know he is in a safe, supportive, and very caring environment that continually demonstrates his needs are a priority as they do for all the residents living at River Ridge 2. I could not feel more confident with Dad’s care! PS. It’s a beautiful facility with great apartments and space, too!

I moved our father to River Ridge 2 at the beginning of October and from the initial meeting with Chassity I knew I had found the right place for him. The Executive Director, Lori, took time from her schedule to ensure she stopped by and introduce herself to welcome Dad and the family to RR2. We moved my Grampa to River Ridge 2 in October to the Boulevard North unit (locked unit). Since our meet and greet with Chassity, River Ridge 2 has not only made my Grampa feel at home but it has made our family feel at home when we're there. From Chassity checking in on my Grampa when he first moved in, to the health care aides on his unit, they've done everything to provide him with his needs ,and his wants as well. Best move we as a family could have made for my Grampa.

We are very pleased with the enhanced assisted living accommodation we found here for my sister. Right from inquiry stage, the advice and support could not have been better. My sister is dealing with aging and bipolar, and with those challenges, this is the ideal home for her. She appears to always have someone available to address her needs, any time. All staff are kind to her, regardless of what the request. We also are contacted immediately when something unexpected happens. We have no reservations regarding her health and safety in her residence here. We are also pleased with the measures taken to insure resident safety during the COVID epidemic. Meals, care, safety, programming and housekeeping are second to none. I would not hesitate to recommend this residence regardless of circumstances of those considering it. We are so pleased we found this for my sister.

My elderly mother recently moved into River Ridge II during the lockdown phase of Covid 19 to give her a level of care without worry. Her family could not be there to assist her through the move due to the restrictions of the pandemic. Fortunately the staff at River Ridge II offered support beyond words. I can’t say enough for the patience, kindness and tireless work provided by Chassity to ensure the move was done as smoothly as possible with minimum disruption to my mother’s routine and a priority to her health & safety. She received a warm welcome from Chassity, Zdenka & other staff along with a gift of flowers when she arrived. Chassity went above & beyond followed closely by Zdenka who ensured my mother was settled in. Zdenka has been checking in with her regularly during her busy workschedule helping my mother adjust to her new surroundings. With her family so far away, we could not have done this successfully without Chassity, Lifestyle Director & Zdenka, Manager at River Ridge II. They are two wonderful people who truly care. Thank you!

Mom and Dad needed to move to an assisted care facility because of Dad’s unique physical and Mom’s unique mental issues. The family wanted to keep them together but few facilities would accommodate both parent’s needs. Luckily, we found River Ridge II. Chassity MacIntyre, their Lifestyle Director, was extremely helpful in explaining what was offered and how they could assist in moving both parents in and making them feel at home. Since moving in, all the staff have been courteous and friendly toward Mom and Dad and they are enjoying the many amenities. Chassity continues to be involved and has orchestrated Face Time visits during the lockdown caused by COVID-19. Thanks to River Ridge II for making their time happy and comfortable!

Our family felt it was time to find a nurturing and caring environment that would support the needs of our mother. We found the perfect location! River ridge II presents a safe and comfortable environment that meets our mother’s growing needs and high expectations. The staff is absolutely amazing! Moreover, River Ridge II provides the peace of mind for all of us that are not physically close in proximity to our mother. The bottom line: She is happy! Thank you!

River Ridge II is a must-visit if you are looking for an assisted care facility robust with activities, top-notch care, gourmet food and a home where everyone knows not only your name, but what you value. It's a state-of-the-art building with many sunlit spots for either a quiet moment with a book, or the option of planting yourself in the middle of the action. When we were looking for a new home for my mom Chassity (and the River Ridge II team) sat us down and explained how everything worked in the world of assisted living ie. what questions we should ask in our search, a detailed explanation of costs, clarity on what is offered/what is not offered, all because they wanted us to find the absolute best fit for my mom. Not because they wanted to fill a room. River Ridge II is a loving home first. A business second.

I am just in the process of moving my Mom into the secure housing unit at River Ridge II and I have been very impressed with not only the beautiful facilities, but the staff! There are staff everywhere should you have a question or concern and everyone is so friendly and caring. Chassity MacIntyre was an absolute dream to deal with and I am hoping my Mom has many happy years living at River Ridge.
