Update.2024: New management in charge and many events and activities have been changed or asked by management to be paid for by residents. High staff turnover is causing operational issues. As a result, many residents are moving out.

Think twice! When we first moved into this facility it was great, upscale and resident oriented. It has been steadily downhill since then. The pandemic seems to have given management the idea that less for the resident is more for their CEO's. Rents go up despite less staffing costs and reduced money being spent on meals. Despite walking difficulties, residents are expected to carry their own trays because there is not enough wait staff. The activities director was just fired after single handedly running the facility as Brennity fired manager after manager. Could it be that she didn't agree with the new tendency to charge the residents for activities which were previously promised in the admission process? The disappointments are many. Be forewarned.

After researching local facilities for my 85 yr old father we chose The Brennity. He absolutely loves it. He says he feels like he is on a cruise everyday. Our first contact person was Dan. He was super helpful and helped us make the right decision for my father. He is in independent living and I am there minimum 5 times a week. Everyone is always so kind and helpful. He has made many friends already. He participates in activities with Jennifer, has Sam as a server most nights,(my 4yr old loves Sam! He gives her ice cream!) Staff and residents are top notch! Ask for Dan he is amazing!

We moved to The Brennity 2 months ago and are happy with our move. Our apartment is very comfortable and roomy. Any problems with our new accommodations were addressed. The dining experience is exceptional! Food and service is very good. Many residents have made us feel welcome and we are enjoying all the activities.

The Brennity under the leadership of Lindsay, brought my family back from a very stressful and difficult place. Our situation required patience, lots of emotional support and careful decision making. Lindsay cares deeply and she will do all she can to help make your transition go the right way for your loved one and for you the caregiver. Everyone from the front desk to the nursing staff to the financial offce staff to the doctor are available, reachable and communicative. I highly recommend the Brennity.

My mom loves living at The Brennity of Melbourne! She loves the treetop view from her independent living apartment, the spacious rooms, the closet space, and the in apartment washer and dryer. She enjoys many of the activities offered especially bridge, exercise classes, and Scholars classes. She doesn’t want to miss dinner with her friends in the dining room or Sunday brunch because she enjoys the food and the fellowship and the service. The maintenance staff and housecleaning have been very prompt at responding to any issues. Last year my mom spent a month in the assisted living side of The Brennity while she recuperated from a fall. She was so thankful to be there and was well cared for. Kudos to Sarah Price, Executive Director, for staying on top of things. She has a great hardworking staff. My mom is so content at The Brennity of Melbourne.

My husband and I moved into The Brennity at Melbourne in August of 2021 - my husband into the Memory Care Center, and I moved into an Independent Cottage right across the street from him. He has been receiving wonderful care, loves the food - 3 meals a day & snacks, care-givers & staff, new friends, and he joins into fun and relevant activities. He seems so happy and content, which makes me feel very thankful, and gives me a real sense of relief knowing he is safe, cared for, and is happy. I can visit him as often as I'd like, and can take him out when I wish, as well. My cottage is beautiful, complete with a garage, a laundry room, two baths, nice kitchen, large family room, and three bedrooms. My neighbors in the surrounding cottages, as well as residents in the Independent apartments, are friendly and active. I have two puppies, and I enjoy taking them to the spacious Pet park near me, where they can run freely, and also meet with other neighborhood dogs. The Dining Room in the main building is beautiful, and the food is quite good! Activities and entertainment are offered daily, by a very talented & imaginative Director. The staff is receptive to suggestions by the residents, and there is an active Resident Council and Community. I could go on, but suffice it to say, I am very happy here, and pleased that we moved into The Brennity at Melbourne.

Our Mother has been a resident of The Brennity at Melbourne for over ten years transitioning through the different levels of living options. From her active, social time in Independent Living, to her more personalized care in Assisted Living, to her 24-hour supervised time now in Memory Care, the transitions have been seamless. The Brennity has indeed gone through many management changes through the years with the current staff implementing some significant positive change. The associates, across the board, from resident services to housekeeping to culinary to maintenance to lifestyles, continue to be kind, caring, compassionate and professional. We especially applaud The Brennity at Melbourne for dealing so magnificently through the difficult, unprecedented Covid crisis. Our family has been extremely fortunate and wishes to extend our utmost appreciation to each and every member of The Brennity staff and Vitas Hospice, who have touched the life of our Mother (who is now 99) in such a positive way!

I moved to the Brennity at Melbourne in September with my 6 yr old puppy Jake. It is a pet friendly facility. I have lived in the area for quite a while and heard many good things about The Brennity. We both are delighted to be here. The staff is amazing. Everyone is pleasant, kind and helpful. I enjoy dinners in the dining room. The food is delicious and there are multiple choices on the menu every evening. I have met many very nice people. My apartment is roomy and bright with a lot of windows. That is why I chose to live here.

Last week I went to the office and complained to the manager that none of the cottages on our street had been given yard service since Hurricane Dorian moved through, and our yards and shrubs were filled with weeds. Also, the area at the corner had been full of rubbish for months after it had finally had broken pipes repaired. The sidewalk was dangerously open on both sides, and unfinished, The very next day, workmen began the jobs of taking care of all of the problems. We appreciate the managers quick response and service, and are glad to feel we are again part of the neighborhood.

I like the idea of being able to go to exercise class 3 times. Because of these great classes Ive been able to stop going to physical therapy! I have a favorite server who treats me like one of the family and always takes care of me in the dining room. All the staff are so helpful. The Brennity is a great to call home.

I find the associates at The Brennity very friendly and eager to assist the residents. The team members all work very well together. The housekeeping group is the happiest of all. Thats always a plus!! There is a great variety of organized activities in all areas of the community. The drivers are always smiling and eager to take our residents to doctor appointments, shopping, theater, concerts and many other events.

We just moved a family member into The Brennity this past week. I can not say enough about how helpful and caring the staff were in getting everything handled with the move. Any questions we had in the weeks leading up to the move were answered within minutes. And the one issue we had (refrigerator not working) was rectified in no time and the staff even went out to their way to go shopping and replace the food that was lost at their expense. And the facilities are beautiful.

The facilities at the Brennity are great! I also enjoy the numerous activities offered like bridge, poker, the wellness center and the putting green. Im also very impressed with the staff who work at the Brennity. They are very courteous and cooperative.

Ive lived at the Brennity for 2 years. I love everything about it. Its a great place to be. The staff are very helpful and Ive made some wonderful friends. They offer a lot of activities but I especially enjoy using the gym, taking classes with Maritza and card making with Carol. My beautiful apartment is home to me.

The Brennity at Melbourne has been absolutely amazing. Especially Teleia. She went above and beyond to get my grandmother moved in on very short notice. She most definitely met all of our expectations and then some. Would highly recommend.

Ive had a good experience with Brennity. I am the daughter of a prospective assisted living resident and my dad was impressed. The property is beautiful--I love the screened-in porches and small dining rooms that each wing has that gives it a comfortable homey feel. The staff is super friendly, making a strong statement that they want to make my dad and our family happy as much as possible. My dad especially likes that residents can use the fitness center and pool on their own and do not necessarily have to sign up for an exercise class or supervision from staff, allowing self-motivated residents to be more independent. I think Brennitys kitchen and meal times seem to be longer and more flexible than some assisted living homes too. I am especially impressed with Teleia from their sales department and how easy she is to work with. Shes been caring and professional and quick to follow through on my questions, requests, demonstrating that they really want to make it a stress free experience to welcome my dad to their community. She has been following up with my family and staying in touch about our needs and timeframe for a possible move. Brennity was more flexible with the uncertain timing of my dads plans to stay than other local assisted living homes.

I moved to Brennity July 1, 2017----- shouldnt have waited so long! Really enjoy the family atmosphere that is prevalent here. Great too is the fellowship to be shared with group trips to various restaurants, live performance theaters, and many local attractions. We have a great agenda of Welfare and Fitness programs here and I am a dedicated participant of the Functional Fitness group. This program has allowed me to discontinue daily pain medication for arthritis of the lower back. I enjoy the game of Golf and my residency here at Brennity includes an annual membership at the Duran Golf Club (just across the street), which I take weekly advantage of. Must add, the first year I was here, I met and married a beautiful widow who had so much in common with myself. We now continue to enjoy our lives and many friendships here at Brennity.

The entire staff at the Brennity of Melbourne has been exceptional. They were extremely helpful during our visit of the facility and the transition of our loved one into the Memory Care Unit. They were very thoughtful and caring to the family as well as the resident. We could not have been more satisfied. My parents lived at Brennity in Viera for over a year. The service seemed to decline the last part of 2018. However, a new Director, Doug Love, was hired and he cleaned everything up very quickly. Not only did he do a great job for the entire community, but he cared about the well being of my parents. Doug is a true professional who is compassionate and reliable. The Maintenance Director was always responsive and professional as well as the whole front desk team. I am grateful to Doug and the entire staff at Brennity. You made a tough time in my parents lives much easier to deal with. Thank you and continue to bless all of your awesome residents!

The Brennity of Melbourne is a wonderful place! Right from when you walk in, to the friendly staff and the happy residents it shows! It is very unique, one of the only communities in Brevard that have four levels starting from beautiful spacious Cottages to independent living, assisted living and memory care! I have a lot of clients that I have taken there to tour and they have moved in and are still happy today! They also have an awesome wellness program which is a separate calendar from the event calendar.They focus on the health and well-being of the residents! Their event calendar is always full of things to do as well! My favorite part is the indoor pool they have two, one inside and one out! Definitely a must to check this place out!

I was lucky enough to be a part of a jewelry shopping event here that benefited The Sharing Center but is also a great time for residents to do some shopping for Christmas. Everyone I met here was an absolute joy!! From the staff to the residents.. I feel truly honored to have met so many wonderful people!
