We recently moved into the villas and are incredibly impressed with Executive Director Rebecca, who consistently goes above and beyond. She treats all residents like family, which is one of the primary reasons we chose Water's Edge over other senior living communities. As the only community in the area with villas, it offered us a seamless transition from our previous home. Rebecca is highly responsive to any concerns and made our move effortless. We are also impressed with the team’s dedication to addressing our needs and providing resources for our transition. This team is invaluable, and we have great trust in Rebecca”which was essential since we moved into our villa sight unseen. A significant added value is the chaplaincy program. Chaplain Ed is readily available and leads wonderful chapel services. We are pleased that faith is such an integral part of life at Water's Edge; this was a major factor in our decision, especially since other properties we toured do not integrate their chaplains as effectively. We are excited to be part of the Water's Edge family and would highly encourage anyone considering a move to a senior living community to choose Water's Edge! Update: We have wonderful neighbors and so many activities. Staff is great! We are always amazed at Rebecca the Executive Director. She is competent, passionate for the residents..Great problem solver and wonderful leader! professional and is ALWAYS available for the residents! She exemplifies the meaning above and beyond! Taylor who is Activities coordinator for Assisted living is Awesome! Gary who is Transportation Manager treats us as family! Carlos is the new Maintenance manager and he is always responsive for any needs. New chef Chris and culinary supervisor Ron are open for any suggestions and are very proactive with residents. We appreciate all the staff and believe Water's Edgewas the best choice out of all the other senior living communities. Chaplain Ed is always there and is truly compassionate and available for the residents and staff. We enjoy the villas very much...most senior communities do not offer villas and that was one of the reasons we chose Waters Edge.

Our family will always be grateful for the exceptional care my father received at Water's Edge Memory Care. My dad passed away this morning, and as we reflect on his final days, we find great comfort in knowing he was surrounded by compassionate, dedicated professionals who treated him with dignity, kindness, and genuine love. A special thank you to Caroline, the Director of Nursing, and Andrea, the Nurse Practitioner. Their communication with our family was always thoughtful, honest, and reassuring. They kept us informed every step of the way, answered our questions with patience and compassion, and made an incredibly difficult journey a little easier to bear. The entire Memory Care team treated my father with respect and tenderness, and we always felt confident that he was safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. That peace of mind is an incredible gift to a family facing the challenges of dementia. Thank you to everyone at Water's Edge for the kindness you showed my dad and for supporting our family during one of the hardest times in our lives. We will never forget your compassion, dedication, and the difference you made. With heartfelt gratitude.

Waters Edge has been a Godsend to us. During The COVID Pandemic we chose to move our 87 year old mother into their assisted living care. We were concerned of the transition, moving her out of her home of 62 years, but they made it happen seamlessly. She adapted very quickly; she would tell us that she was happy, and we were thankful. She made friends and participated in lots of their social activities and field trips headed by awesome Taylor. She would have her hair and nails done, participated in Chaplain Ed’s in-house services and meetings. We ALL love Chaplain Ed! They had trips to restaurants, saw the Christmas lights, Walmart. After six years in assisted living, at the age of 95 she required a move to the third floor: Memory Care. We dreaded this move. Once again the transition was seamless. Everyone worked so hard to make her comfortable. Head of Nursing Carolyn Blesson runs a tight ship! Annette, head of Memory Care is a very special person. She developed a special bond with our mother. Our mother was not just taken care of, she was LOVED. The nurses are phenomenal: Annette, Candace, Andrea and Jenifer. And we particularly love Gigi her lady helper. We have nothing but gratitude and respect for Waters Edge; thank you always.

I have been very impressed by the care provided at Waters Edge of Bradenton. From the DON Caroline to memory care director Annette to care assistant Gigi, the concern they have for the well being of their residents is apparent & genuine. Also the campus is pretty, the apartments are large, the buildings are clean, & there are lots of activities for social engagement. I confidently recommend!

When first moving to the Bradenton area, my family lived there they were, happy while staying in the community at Waters Edge. They were living with a private residence on the grounds, not a apartment unit, or the memory care area of the complex. At the time of their acceptance they were given a certificate for complimentary meals redeemable at the community restaurant facility. The certificate was only valid for the first year of residence. The weren't informed of this dinner detail. The move in month was October, giving them less than 3 to schedule the dinner reservation. They were happy with their stay. But eventually the flaws of management and maintenance of the property became apparent. The were supposed to have an emergency fall and panic system, the system was disconnected and disabled prior to their moving into the community. The management offices refused to update the system and activate it. Also problems with pests, on residencial grounds raccoons were seen on numerous occasions, once visibly acting in an intoxicated manner, and during daylight hours, raccoons are nocturnal (an indication of rabies infection). During the summer months an insect infestation became apparent as well, limited unprofessional extermination methods were tried. The ants could be found in the lanai parts of the living areas and master bedroom. During the wetter weather mold had begun to show up in public areas, most notably in the security booth guarding the entrance. The staff slowly started to quit because of health issues, at one point the staff was unable to respond properly to an emergency call allowing Bradenton EMS entrance to the community. At this point my family and parents began to search for other residence, and made arrangements to leave the Water's Edge complex. Although the amenities and on-site services seemed to be beneficial to residents, the future detrimental factors caused my family to leave less than two years after moving into the complex.

Our experience at Waters Edge Of Bradenton was nothing short of excellence! From our first walk-in meeting with Laurie Baker to see the facilities we felt so comfortable with Laurie, the staff, the facility itself and the gorgeous dining room. Our next meeting was to bring my uncle and my aunt into Waters Edge to view the campus themselves. We all met with Laurie Baker again and had a wonderful lunch in the 5 star dining room and again every person we met was so nice and down to earth and gave us all a good Midwestern home feel! My uncle and aunt decided this is the place for them! Laurie gave us the name of great Movers and the move was silk smooth. Our family feels so blessed and cannot thank Laurie Baker and the staff of Waters Edge Of Bradenton for making us all feel the comfort safe Haven for my uncle and Aunt! Mark & Debi Judge

I will always be grateful to the wonderful staff at Water’s Edge. They made a very difficult time bearable for my husband and me. Special thanks to Caroline who was always there to help me navigate moving out of state to be closer to family. She always had answers for me. The memory staff are wonderful. Sandra kept me up to date on my Husband’s progress. I feel that she truly cares about all the people in that unit. And all the staff gave comfort to my husband until he moved out. We will always be grateful and will miss you all.

We recently placed my mother-in-law at Waters Edge in Bradenton Florida. She was living in another facility under Independent living and had moved there without ever researching her options... So in December of last year when we visited my husband and myself took her around to other facilities to allow her to explore all of her other options. When we left from our visit at Waters Edge it was unanimous between the three of us that when it came to the next level of care it would be at Waters Edge.... The first person that we came into contact with was Brandon in our opinion he has to be the most competent, caring, amazing person that we have ever met in our lives...... It takes a special kind of person to work in that field and that job was definitely made for him..... And every employee from Caroline who is the director of nursing to Taylor who is the Life enrichment assistant who sends the event calendar to us every month so that we can passively encourage mom to join in the events. Its a joint adventure to ensure Mom is meeting new people and making new friends. Mom was never a social butterfly she worked all her life and then took care of her family after work... So she had a tendency of secluding herself and never enjoying her life after retirement.... The employees at Waters Edge passively nudge Mom to participate in all the activities.... And they periodically send photos of her participation it is a joy to see her active. They communicate to us consistently about Mom and how she is doing.....they definitely go above and beyond with their residents... We live a thousand miles away from Mom and just knowing she is at Waters Edge affords us to rest easy every night...If you are looking at Waters Edge for your loved one you can't go wrong choosing them.....Water's Edge is a cut above the rest..... We are so grateful that we found them.....

I am a caregiver and I spend 12 hours a day with my client who lives in this community. This is the best community I have been to in a long time. The staff is very friendly, the food is top notch and the activities are enjoyable. The property is well maintained. House keeping is thorough. When the time comes for me to move into a facility, this will be my only choice. Keep up the good work everyone.

I am a retired 40 year teacher and I just moved my Mother on July 22 to independent living Waters Edge Community and I cannot believe how smooth the process went! Brandon Dees the sales Counselor was unbelievable! His Communication and Organization was spot on for everything! Waters Edge had experience movers who they recommended and Brandon hooked us up with everything we needed to help make my mom's transition from a house at Mt. Vernon estates into independent living at Waters edge. It has been a very positive and happy experience. Brandon also connected us with Kellie Innes from Southwest home care and she immediately got us connected to home care doctor and nurse care. Finally, Brandon got us connected to Home care helpers who have been outstanding for extra care which we realized she needed. Waters Edge community has been fantastic for my mom, everyone is so willing to help and everyone is getting to know her fast! The food has been great and Mom is very happy. I highly recommend Waters Edge for your Family. My Mom is now in a secure and safe environment and I am very happy. If you're looking for a great retirement community for your loved one take a hard look at Waters edge. Thanks G.

From the front desk to the nurses, meal staff and the facility as a whole, we couldn't be happier. It wasn't a smoothe transition for our mom who just wanted to go home. Everyone told us to give it 3 weeks. She is on week 5 and is loving her new friends & the daily activities. And then there is the Director of Nursing, Caroline. She has been incredible answering all of our questions, calming our nerves, taking & sending pictures of our mom and so much more. I’ve lived in assisted living at Water’s Edge for the past two years. When I came, I was basically happy with the facility, but I must say in the last year or so the new director of nursing and management have done so much to make it better for the patients. I can only rate It a solid five. We have some of our meals That I truly fine dining quality, and all meals now are quite satisfactory. We have choices if we don’t like either of the specials of the day each meal. There has been a considerable number of the nursing staff replaced with people who are truly good quality. They will replace anyone who does not properly treat Residents to the high standard of care here. They care about the Residents, And become friends as well as our caregivers. I do not feel Like I am a tenant here, This is my home! In the past, I have been in four other facilities, and consider myself blessed To be at Water’s Edge.

My mom and I have been visiting Independent Living facilities in Bradenton and Sarasota counties. Waters Edge of Bradenton certainly check all of the boxes on our must have list. From initial phone conversations and interactions with the front desk staff, we’ve felt very welcomed. Laurie Shaw Baker provided a tour and really engaged us, asking questions of our needs. She conveyed a sincere desire to only want the best for residents living independently. The Sarasota Bradenton area has grown immensely, yet this facility has the warm vibe of how laid back, yet artsy this community used to be. The grounds are beautifully walkable and the pool is nice and warm. We would strongly recommend you schedule a tour, you won’t be disappointed.

I could not have imagined a better experince when looking for a senior living facility for my 91 yearold step father. From the moment I walked in, I immediately noticed how clean and friendly and inviting the environment was. After touring the facility and learning about the services and all the amenities, and then meeting many of staff and also some of the residents, I was even more impressed! Even the maintenance staff could not have been friendlier or more engaging. Literally every person I met on the campus was extremely caring and helpful. Obviously, picking a senior living situation for a loved one can be very stressful and emotional, especially when you live so far awayWhat a comforting feeling it is knowing that my stepfather is in such a wonderful loving environment. I feel extremely blessed and very appreciative that he is surrounded by so many compassinate people, and that all his needs amd concerns are addressed. With Gratitude, Kerry Marsh

Waters Edge has been a great place for dad. He’s lived in both the independent and assisted living facilities and the rooms are spacious and very nice. The new director and nursing supervisor are wonderful - as is the staff. They’ve been very communicative with residents and families.

Wonderful building but most employees are not friendly and management sucks. They are more worried about how they look instead of running the building the correct way. The only staff that seemed to work was memory care. I wouldn’t care to bring my loved one here

Our family recently toured Water’s Edge of Bradenton. We found the facility very well maintained and the friendly staff attentive. The rooms have generous floor plan options. The spaciousness is increased with the layout of windows and plentiful lighting. The atmosphere creates a welcoming and positive environment.

This is the most awful place to work. Management backs lazy workers that sit on their phones all shift and fires good workers instead. There is no communication between management and nurses unless it's to blame them for other people's mistakes made on someone else's shift! They get rid of good workers that never call in and keep insubordinate med tech's that yell at and over the nurses! NCR needs to weed out bad management and get real manager's in there. If you value your license and reputation do not work for these people!

Your place is clean. Staff is very friendly. Easy to park. Just love the security you have at the entrance. Made my visit feel welcome and safe.

Today they served turkey with cornbread stuffing. It tasted OK, but turkey with stuffing is kind of dry without any sort of gravy. Mom patiently waited for some gravy, but there was none to be had. One of the girls in the dining room was more interested in her phone than tending to the needs of the patrons. We sat with a gentleman named Paul. He was upset that the food from the previous day's meal was still under the table. He said that he had asked for it to be swept up yesterday, and it was still there. Nobody has yet to clean it up. The drinks we were served were warm, and our table was never offered desert.

Mother is extremely happy living here. Does complain about the dining room as staff is constantly changing and food inconsistent.

We toured the independent living and town center buildings at the Water's Edge of Bradenton. The place is lovely and the apartments are huge compared to other independent living communities. The common areas looked inviting as well. We saw the dinners being served and the portions were large and looked very tasty. The dining room had a nice "vibe" since it overlooks the large pool. All considered, we were very impressed with the Water's Edge but the pricing was higher than the other places we considered--which was too bad since I think my in-laws would have been very comfortable there. Gina answered all of our questions--she was wonderful.

A dear friend is getting excellent care at this friendly facility. There are numerous fun activities and outings, great food in the dining rooms (or delivered to the room), compassionate and professional care from the staff. 5+ stars doesn't quite capture the experience! Well done!

Water's Edge was hands down the best choice in independent living that I found in the Bradenton / Sun City Center area. It has modern and fresh amenities in a secure setting that is very inviting. Although it's not the least expensive option, with everything included the value proposition still stood out.

We moved to Water's Edge in 2021 and we love our 2b/2b 2-car garage Villa. Meals in the Independent Living Dining Room are deliciously prepared and served by our attentive waitstaff. We eat there much more often than we expected to because of our Chef prepared meals.

I had the pleasure to have a tour of Waters Edge with Elizabeth. I had the opportunity to revisit Waters Edge since I worked as a care giver about 3 years ago. The change of Waters Edge since having been there is amazing. It is bright and the apartments are spacious and extremely inviting. I would definiitely keep Waters Edge as a consideration. Mostly I want to thank Elizabeth for the tour and her wealth of knowledge.

We moved my mother into independent living at Water's Edge just before Christmas. The facilities and entire staff have been been outstanding! They have been super attentive to her needs and made the transition a very pleasurable experience. While we were in the process of moving her into her unit, staff members and other residents stopped by to introduce themselves, and it's been a very friendly and comfortable environment. Within less than one week (and has been ongoing), they also facilitated resident get-togethers, and in a very short period, my mother has felt secure, happy, and very much part of the community. The dining and meals experience has also been wonderful. Chef Adam takes the time to personally talk/listen to each of the residents and knows each one by name. We had a multi-course Christmas dinner (filet mignon) in the dining room, and it was amazing! Also, as a great example of how attentive the staff is, my mother made a specific reservation for a guest to join her for lunch, and her guest didn't arrive at the expected time. When she didn't go to the dining room, Chef Adam personally went to her unit to be sure she was okay. I also spoke with a long-time resident (10+ years) who expressed how happy they've been living at Water's Edge.

During the pandemic the food has been awful and unhealthy for seniors. Delivered door. The first 5 months there was no yogurt, fresh fruit, raw chicken, burnt hamburgers, no soups and lousy desserts. Food is tepid or cold They say housekeeping would be every week and they often go 3 weeks between cleaning. All activities have been cancelled. Gym is still closed 6 months later. Ants and roaches are a problem too. Residents are leaving in droves.

This is without a doubt the best place for individuals that need Assisted Living. If an individual has an older parent, they should look here first. Its beautiful, pristine living conditions, the staff is wonderful. My husband's Uncle moved here after his wife passed away and he showed signs of beginning Alzheimers. Both of my husband's parents had Alzheimers. They lived in Tennessee and we had a difficult time finding a place for them. We changed places several times and finally found the V.A. on Cowards Mill Road in Knoxville to be outstanding. But there's no place I've seen that's as appealing and wonderful as Waters Edge. If an individual lives in Bradenton then this is the first place I would look look. It's wonderful and Alzhiemers Units are presently being built next to the existing structure. Waters Edge has everything. The Apartment units are wonderful. They have a porch attached. There are activities planned, swimming, exercise, & the main thing is its clean and the personnel are so kind.
