I was a recent widow. A dear friend invited me to visit Laurel Oaks. Now, I have made Laurel Oaks my home. Now I have many friends who greet me every morning at exercise, or the coffee klatch. We have excursions on the bus to museums and other spots of interests. We have movies, a poetry club, a book club. The meals are delicious. The people including the staff are all lovely. They are all my friends now.

We are happily living at Laurel Oaks because of the spacious apartments, great location, excellent administration, friendly residents, many activities - no entry fee! The building was recently renovated and amenities added.

My father has been at Laurel Oaks for 5 years now. He's always been very happy there. As his primary caretaker I've had a much greater peace of mind about his well being since he's been at Laurel Oaks. The staff has overall been attentive and kind towards him. He's had his healths up and downs while there, but I know he's in good hands. Over the past year, Mai in particular has been on top of things and easy to communicate with. I know when I need things like transportation arranged or answers to questions about things going on with him, she'll get back to me as soon as possible and with positive answers. It's not an easy thing dealing with a parent with significant health issues, but a huge weight has been lifted ever since he moved to Laurel Oaks, and I'll always be deeply appreciative of that.

My father has been a resident of Laurel Oaks for over a year and a half. After the first time he and I took a tour, we were sold on him living there. Its a very well-kept, nice location. Overall, every staff member Ive encountered has been pleasant and helpful. During COVID, Laurel Oaks has had to dramatically restrict outside visitors, so Ive been unable to physically see my dad beyond limited visits, but Laurel has always been very responsive to whatever needs my dad has, or Ive had on his behalf. There is an overall kindness and attentiveness there, that I cannot put a high enough value on. My dads had his share of health issues, which has been a strain on him and a constant concern for myself and the family. So the peace of mind that hes at a high-quality place with really good staff has been a huge load off our minds...and hes very happy there.

My mother has been a resident of LO for nearly eight years, first in independent living and, more recently in the suites (memory) unit. Throughout that time LO has provided a safe, clean, and consistent living environment in which the staff has dealt with my mothers various issues. The upper-level staff has been communicative and seems to always have had her best interests in mind. At nearly 98 years old my mother has her issues and the staff has shown admirable flexibility in dealing with those issues. Even in this time of the pandemic LO has kept my mother safe, for which I will be forever in their debt.

I teach a movement class at Laurel Oaks and especially enjoy the relationships with the people in my class. There is an atmosphere of engagement and positive energy among the people I meet. Its a pleasure to work with the friendly outgoing staff as well.
