I had the pleasure of attending an event at Solheim recently and had a wonderful experience - the food was delicious and the staff were so welcoming. I took a tour of the beautiful community, and was very impressed with the amount of activities held for the residents, the ways in which they make it feel like home, and the level of care provided. As an animal lover and pet care professional, a huge green flag for me was how clean their turtle tank was! I figured if they give that much care to a community turtle, the residents certainly receive exceptional care. Your loved ones would be in excellent hands here.

My wife spent 3 weeks here in the skilled nursing facility after the repair of her broken arm. Her care was loving, attentive & personal. There seemed to be personnel attending to her continuously. The staff helped her recover & return to her memory care unit. And each patient has their own tv. We are grateful to all the staff but especially to Victoria, Cristal, Dominic, Alonzo, Carol, Anthony, Natalie & Christopher.

Very clean community. Staff seems to be cleaning all the time. Wish we had more senior community like this with great staff.

Solheim is an extraordinary place. We've had family members in other nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and Solheim stands out from the others in so many ways! The staff genuinely cares, every question we have is addressed immediately, the facility is clean and beautiful, there are several outdoor patios with gardens and fountains, and the activities are incredibly diverse and interesting. Solheim has exercise classes, concerts, a library, a chapel, fresh flowers throughout the facility, a wellness center with exercise equipment, and a beauty salon. The facility is amazing, and the staff is outstanding!

This was recommended by my good friend, whose mother is also in Solheim in the skilled nursing unit. From the very beginning, Emily in Sales at Solheim Senior Community made everything feel manageable. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable, guiding us through each step with clarity. Since my auntie moved into the Halvorson (Memory Care unit), we’ve seen a comfort, emotional well-being and safe environment. The staff there are truly exceptional. They treat her with dignity, engage her in meaningful activities, and always communicate with me in a thoughtful and timely way. Whether it’s helping her with daily routines or simply sitting with her during quiet moments, their care feels deeply personal. We have never had a reason to question our decision to have a loved one cared for by the wonderful people at Solheim. The nursing staff, the support staff, indeed everyone we have encountered in the memory care center and the Solheim community as a whole has been outstanding. From the day we first spoke with Lucy in marketing, and then Kathy in social/event planning, Marie in medical care, Joy, Tina, Sheila in nursing, Dulce and Christine in activities and many others, we knew that this was the perfect place for our loved one. We have never once been disappointed with the professionalism, care and knowledge of Solheim's entire team. The campus is clean, well run and seasonally and special event stimulating. We specifically appreciate how the residents of the memory care are engaged in activities, exercises and social events. They don't just sit and watch TV all day. They truly treat us as members of the Solheim family. The communication from the top to all residents, family members and stakeholders is very much appreciated.

My family is so grateful for the care my mom is receiving at Solheim! We were referred by a close friend whose loved one had lived here previously. Having the three levels of care (active living, memory care, and skilled nursing) all on site meant a lot to us... this ensures that mom will be comfortable and in her Solheim community as she moves through different stages of health. The warmth of the staff is evident every time we visit mom. This isn't one of those homes that looks like a big hotel when you enter. It is warm, homey, clean, festive for all holidays and comfortable. Residents are engaged in many activities including the chapel services. Solheim is a blessing to our family and we sleep well at night knowing she's well cared for by her Solheim family.

I totally agree with all that Anthony Davenport wrote. Not going to repeat and I’m not half the writer he is. There is no better than place. You will find many people who have been to other places, sometimes several, but when they get to Solheim they know this really is there place and they are glad to stay here.

This Care Facility is quite different from all others that I am familiar with.It is rather difficult to explain the differences succinctly.If you have experience of regular Care Homes you will be astonished by Solheim.You will not be dazzled by opulent decor or harassed by a "Closer" Solheim take total responsibility for care not just the profitable/convenient parts.They have so many health-related functions on site that doctor/hospital visits are almost eliminated. More important is their vigilance and responsibility in monitoring the Resident. That attitude seems to permeate everything they do.So health issues never seem to deteriorate beyond the trivial initial stages. It is difficult to put a price on that standard of care.It is more difficult to say how Solheim compares to other Care Facilities(& I personally know quite a few very well !). You'll easily find cheaper places but I could never find better value ,nor a higher standard of care. Solheim is a bit of a secret in the elder care world. They seem to have no ability to describe themselves in a comparative sense. So their major source of new residents seems to be word-of-mouth referrals from Doctors & other Health Care professionals and family of existing residents. That is a pity to be so exclusive but now at least you know too :-).I am not easily impressed nor am I shy about calling out the laggards so this endorsement may be rather more significant than most. God willing, I shall be fortunate to end my days in a place half as good and twice the price.
