A Beautiful facility. It in no way resembles most senior living facilities. It has a snack area, beautiful dinning room, a soon coming cafe, & a soon coming pizzeria. You certainly won't lack for something to eat. The staff is just as nice as the facility. Carmen Rivera was the sales director that introduced me to The Glades. She showed me several different apartments, the eating areas, & the activity areas. She was very influential in helping me make my choice of a living facility that would meet my particular needs. She was kind enough to introduce me to some of the residents so that I might have lunch with them and to get their feedback on living at the Glades. The activities here allow me to exercise both physically & mentally. They are varied and plentiful. The apartments are very inviting and well maintained, including cleaning once per week by a well trained cleaning crew. The entire facility is modern, inviting, and very clean. it is well maintained. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. That is everyone from the office personnel, care givers, food servers, maintenance workers, and others. The residents, for the most part, are very friendly as well.

I recently had the pleasure of touring The Glades ALF at Champions Gate, and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Carmen Rivera, who guided me through the visit, was exceptionally professional, caring, and genuinely attentive to my needs. Her warmth made me feel comfortable as she provided a comprehensive overview of the facility. The Glades ALF itself is a beautiful and inviting place, designed with the comfort and well-being of its residents in mind. The amenities are impressive, and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it an ideal environment for anyone seeking a supportive community. Carmen's dedication and compassion truly stood out, reassuring me that my dad will be in excellent hands. I am grateful for her guidance and can't wait to see my father thriving in such a lovely setting. Highly recommended! Olive

I can't speak highly enough about The Glades at ChampionsGate Assisted Living. It's always a pleasure referring our clients here because we know they're in the best hands. The community is warm, welcoming, and truly feels like home. The staff, including my friend Carmen, go above and beyond to ensure every resident receives personalized care and attention. The environment is not only beautiful but also fosters a sense of belonging and comfort for everyone who lives there.

OMG! How do I start. Wonderful independent living area that we looked at. My parents were all set to move in, but they decided to save more money a couple of more months living with us before making the move. Rooms were beautiful, food we ate at lunch was outstanding. We can not say more good things about CARMEN who gave us a tour. What a very friendly, knowledgeable lady. We are going to hold off for about 6 months, but will definitely get in here after that. Go and visit! You will not be disappointed.

My grandmother is my everything. This whole process and all the changes of next stage of life have been very difficult, overwhelming and stressful. But Thank God we were sent a true Angel. There are people who you know that just by walking into a room, or a conversation completely change it and for the better. Ann Wilson is a God sent and The Glades are truly lucky, even blessed to have acquired her. She is truly an asset. She is more than a sales person. Truly listens and cares and is so incredibly patient. She is helpful, helpful is not even a big enough word to describe what she is, what she does or what she brings to the table. She looks out not only for the interest of The Glade but its residents and potential residents alike. She truly takes the time to listen and take care of people and their needs. She goes out of her way for the residents and to put their families at ease. Even with her crazy hectic schedule, she is truly a light In this world. She was gone on vacation and man did we notice, give this woman a raise and never let her go. I also want to recognize the head of the house keepers Alicia de la Cruz. As soon as she comes into a room she changes it. Not only because she leaves it spotless but because on top of being such a hard worker her smile and her attitude about life and work are infectious. In the best way; kindness and joy exudes her. And if one of her girls is not able to come in to get resident rooms done she communicates throughly with the residents. She makes sure the schedule is convenient for the residents and takes it upon herself to complete the rooms herself. She is so positive and kind I cannot express that enough. Rare and few people like her. So incredibly considerate of the residents, their homes and their things. A true treasure, give this woman a fall and Christmas Bonus. We have to recognize the nurses. Man do they get their steps in. You'll go to a Drs appointment in the building you'll come out of the appointment and you'll see them again but on their 7th circle. They work hard, they work long hours and they don't get enough credit. I am still learning names but Mae, Lloyda and Lisa have really stood out to me. They're kind, big hearted, patient and really go out of their way. If the residents make a request or they need anything they go all the way back to the office with no hesitation and a positive demeanor. They wait patiently while the resident gets up or is in the bathroom while they're on a long and tight schedule. Mae even escorted my grandmother to the cafeteria when she was disoriented and once took us all the way from the 4th floor to the 1st floor and accross the building to show us where her in house Doctor appointment was going to be. They're incredible, I am sure they don't get paid enough or get enough breaks. Not many places have such kind and attentive staff. Thanks to them and all the nurses for all they do and all they work through. You guys truly make the difference with daughters, granddaughters, and families all around sleeping a lot better because they know you are taking excellent care of their love one. I also wanted to recognize Sandy Reyes. She is responsible for all residents move in needs. The move-in coordinator. On top of having an amazing accent. Like it will just make your whole day better. She does so much for the residents and their families. Making sure both the resident and families alike have what they need even access to be successful in the transfer over in this next step of life . On top of that she is prompt and reachable. She is an extremely busy woman and will answer your text or call almost immediately and take care of the problem yesterday.

My mom has been a resident in memory care at The Glades for over a year. Our experience has been very good. Carryl always responds when we reach out to her, the support group is very helpful, and the facility is beautiful and clean.
June 2024
My mom has been a resident here for 4 + years. She has been very happy. Overall it had been a very positive experience. If at anytime I had a concern it was addressed immediately. Rachel has always been there for me. Need to give a shout out to Dan for his leadership. Staff seem much happier since he arrived. We have seen many positive improvements since Dan became the Executive Director. I need to give 5 Stars to 4 amazing caregivers. MAY, LOIDA, JOANNA, and FLORETTE. It is very obvious that they do what the do with love. It is not a job but a vocation. Let me not forget Ellen at the front desk. She is definitely a problem solver. There are so many others that I can mention. Thank you to The Glades Staff.

Carryl Knight has been providing excellent support for Barbara Dwyer at the Memory Care unit at The Glades at Champions Gate. She has been providing extra activities for my client, like water aerobics and making sure she gets to go to Sunday service at the facility. Barbara enjoys singing hymns a lot since her dad was a Minister. When Barbara hurt her wrist Carryl was quick to provide medical attention. The entire staff is caring and attentive. Accolades to the Glades! Where do I begin? My mom, Judy, has lived at the Glades for almost 2 years. She has a better social life than I do. Adriana and Shakira always plan activities to keep her busy. She especially loves BINGO! If she needs to go to Publix or a doctor's appt, Donnie is there to take her since she no longer drives. The maintenance staff, led by Jonathan, is wonderful and prompt at responding to resident's needs. No task is too small. She is always raving about the food. Annie keeps the servers on their toes. There is also weekly housekeeping. She doesn't have to worry about mopping floors any more. The Glades is a wonderful place where I can feel secure knowing that my mom can enjoy her independence. Keep up the great work!

I rate 5 stars for Denise pagan (Med Tech.Who is one of the most amazing people in eternal history to take care of the older residents? She has the passion for it.I can see it in her eyes. She has the love for it.She enjoys doing it.She speaks about how she loves her job And honestly, I wouldn't want no other employee to ever so much. Take care of my elderly family members. Because most of them ask for Denise knowing how much of a good-hearted person she is.

This is a beautiful, peaceful facility. Thank you to John and Rachel for all you do. Thank you for the very special nurses that help care for my mom! I would like to thank Loida, May, Shannon, Lisa, Johanna and Tanya. What a great team they are! My mom actually looks forward to their visit, just to see their smiles!!

Caring for your parent with dementia is never easy and admitting you need assistance when you're a full-time caregiver is filled with emotion. The staff at The Glades at Championsgate walk alongside you from day one. Caron and Giselle in the sales team are just so very helpful, caring and authentic. Trusting their recommendations on what level are care is best was another hurdle that was not what we expected but the nurse came to our home and met with our Dad to determine his best level of care. We had hoped our father could stay in assisted living with some help but after their evaluation from the nursing staff and also our doctors recommendation we chose Memory Care. No lie the move in process was seamless, but the weeks ahead through transition were difficult. Similar to leaving your child at daycare and going to work, but every single person on staff were so very helpful and communicative but also encouraging to allow us to give Dad time to adjust. It's been almost 2 months and just the last couple of weeks have leveled out. Judith the Director emails us personally with updates on how Dad is doing and continues to work with us and the doctors to find the right level of care he needs, while still allowing him safe independence has been a Godsend! If you are struggling with seeking a place for your loved one - set the guilt aside and trust that change is never easy, but in time believe it or not your loved one will begin to flourish and enjoy the time they have left, make new friends and overall find joy again. Not to mention, the peace it brings to your own household to not be a full-time caregiver. The Glades at Championsgate, their staff Caron, Giselle, Judith, Chloe, Amanda and so many others make a tough, emotional decision so very easy and worth every penny! Blessings - The Fiore Family

My mom moves in tomorrow. Caron, the sales and marketing person that gave us the tour was so nice, friendly, and transparent about everything. She really showed a personal interest in my mom and showed her the best room for her that fits her budget. The facility is very clean and the residents seem very friendly and happy with lots of activities to keep everyone busy. One of the most impressive elements of The Glades is when someone moves out they replace the rugs and floors and repaint everything. If feels like a brand new apartment. I'm hoping that her experience living here will be just as great as the tour we had with Caron. She is awesome!!!

Stacie was beyond helpful in setting up our family tour of this facility. She went above and beyond to ensure my father had a great first visit. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. We toured a 2 bedroom with full kitchen and it felt more like a condo than an assisted Independent living facility. Merrill Gardens at Champions Gate is our only choice for when my Father is finally comfortable with the idea of giving up the responsibilities of caring for a home and concentrating on enjoying his time and being closer to family.

My ninety-eight mother is a resident at The Glades. She is very happy with the staff, the food, the activities and all the amenities. I have been very pleased with the management staff. They are very approachable and ready to assist in any manner. We are kept well informed of happenings in the community. The facility is always clean and bright with pleasant decor. The residence are very friendly. We have gotten to know many of them personally. We definitely would recommend The Glades to anyone seeking residency in independent living, assistant living or memory care.
July 2022
Lots of promises given when we took the tour. Everything sounded impressive. Over the last 5 years they've had great staff turnover due to working conditions and vaccine mandates. Many, many many benefits have been eliminated. Mom's health has declined considerably due to constant forced solitary confinement if there is an illness in the building. Mom and other residents are lonely and socially deprived. The facility just came under new ownership. I'm praying things improve. Mom has a friend losing her memory and the staff asked mom to watch over her because THEY are understaffed. Well then, put mom on the payroll!
January 2022
For the most part, our experience has been positive. There are some things that irritate us and I'm looking forward to these issues being addressed. 1. The 3-to-a-table rule. This is really a ridiculous rule. If it turns out that only three sit at a table, all well and good, but more than once we turned around and went back to our apartment to eat because we couldn't sit together. 2. No salt and pepper shakers on the tables in the small cafes. It's difficult for some of us to open those little paper packets. The same with the catsup and mustard packets. Bring out bottles for the tables. No one is going to steal them! Also put butter packs on the table at lunch and diinner like is done at breakfast. By the time I get butter for my mashed potatoes, they're no longer not enough to melt the butter. 3.Cell phones turned on in the dining areas. I understand that some residents need their phones with them at all times, but they should be on vibrate or at least turned down low. 4. The kitchen running out of staples - no wheat bread or English muffins? And speaking if muffins, bring back the chocolate muffins! 5. Running out of the offered entre at dinner. We come down to dinner fairly early, not because we're hungry but because our choice might not be available if we're later than 4 pm. 6. The cable service, although I understand that's being addressed. Will we get any of the streaming services like Discovery+ or Disney+? This is all I can think of right now. Some positives are the friendliness of the staff. We get a kick out of Amanda teasingly admonishing some of the residents on their breakfast choices: "Really, you want fried eggs with bacon? Don't you think oatmeal and a fruit cup would be better for you? OK, if eggs and bacon are really what you want. At least you''re getting protein." We all know she's teasing, so no offense taken. Emily is a calming presence at mealtimes. Nothing fazes her. Michael at reception is a gem. Willing to do anything to help residents, always smiling (at least it looks like he's smiling behind his mask!) I think this survey was a good idea; maybe have one every six months or so to see if issues have been addressed. Also, are the results going to be published (anonymously of course!).

Thanks to Heidi exceptional tour and details of this beautiful and amazing 5 star facility in December. Also, thanks for your immediate actions to help me in the transfer process to place my wife in your Dimemtia care unit. Also, thanks to Cindi, Garden House Director (Dimemtia care unit), for traveling to a Winter Haven assisted living location to evaluate my wife and help me to begin to transfer process to there facility. We transferred my wife on December 17 and the staff in Dimemtia care unit taking care of my wife are outstanding. Thanks to all.

When the facility was Merrill Gardens it was one of the finest assisted living communities in Florida. Now that new management has taken over, it's not the same place. Everyone who was wonderful has left, for obvious reasons. Heidi, Stacey, Daniel, Iris, and others. The facility itself is only as good as the staff. The manager on-site is cold and unfriendly, does not seem to have the gift necessary for working for and with seniors. TV service is spotty at best, also not good for seniors! The food? That has changed immensely from what it was! Elderly standing in line with walkers to get their food? This should never be!! Many of the immenities that were the draw for choosing Merrill Gardens are gone, like meal availability! When new management comes in, they should do their VERY best to maintain the standard of care that was working! Improvements needed should be timely, and not cause staff to leave, or residents to be stressed out and disappointed with what has happened to the place they once liked living! I am reaching out to corporate with my complaints. I know I speak for several residents. What about the ones who would never complain? This is very sad and disappointing!

I recommend everything, as an said before is like being in a resort, but better taken care of. My experience is to be very grateful to everyone, starting with James Hooper and finishing with all the helpers, those who bring you the food pick you up the trash, those who bring you the mail fix you what you break and all and all do with a big smile oh and those who take your temperature, I can only say a thousand times, Thank you for being you....

Professional, friendly staff. Carol and Stacy were amazing helping me navigate me from out of state, transferring my father from Heart of Florida Hospital into his new apartment. The nursing staff is happy, friendly and on top of my fathers daily medications. The residents are happy, kind, inclusive and all very happy to be residents, which really made me feel I made the right senior care living choice for Dad. And now in a troubling time of this virus, MG has been amazing adhering to guidelines, I feel he is in safe hands.

In preparation for my Mothers increasing need for assistance with everyday tasks, I began searching for somewhere that she and I would be comfortable and secure. After looking around the area I found Merrill Gardens at Champions Gate. Upon walking into the foyer, I was amazed at the atmosphere. It did not have the appearance of a assisted living facility at all. It appeared to be a 5 star resort! Upon entering, you hear the clanking of dishes and the smell of good food. You see many people, young and old enjoying themselves in the Cafe or Dining room as well as the upscale sitting areas. Upon meeting the staff, they were very professional and reassuring that if given the opportunity they would take great care of my Mother. Moving day came and my Mother walked in for the first time. She was afraid of what awaited her. Upon entering, her fears quickly subsided as she sat in the living room area near the foyer. She was greeted by many staff members and even the Chef, welcoming her to the Merrill Gardens family. Today, she has been there one week. I asked her if there is anything that she needed or anything to make her new home better. She replied not a thing, I am so lucky to be here. Hearing this warmed my heart and relieved me from anymore worries or concerns regarding her happiness or safety. I know that we as a family made the right decision entrusting Merrill Gardens at Champions Gate with our most valuable asset, our Mother. Thank you Merrill Gardens... Special thanks to Staci, Carol, Chef Elgin, Sara, Ellen, Wanda, Dana, Michael, Gabby, Edgerin, Farah, Vanessa and GM Jim Hooper. We appreciate what you do and how well you do it!

My dad is here 8 months already and he is so happy here. This is a beautiful and upscale community with a caring staff and extraordinarily high quality food. He has friends and there are social events planned and the staff knows when someone is out of the building or didnt come down for a meal. I just cant say enough nice things about Merrill Gardens in Championsgate! Betty Ann Sturrup
