My mother has been living here about 1.5 years. Overall it has been nice, very few complaints. When we moved her in the Executive Director was Carmen. Then Carmen left suddenly and now the Executive Director is Mohammed. Haven't had any real interaction with him, and everything seemed to be going as normal. Until this weekend when I visited my mom. The parking lot is very small, and especially if your loved one is in the assisted living part, there's only 2 marked handicapped spots, and the others go down the building in a line, further and further away from the main entrance. My mom has mobility issues and it is nice when I am able to get a close spot in front to take her out on rides and errands. This weekend, I noticed that the front most accessible spot wasn't turned into another handicapped spot like it should have, but now a "reserved" spot for the Executive Director. I also saw that the two parking spots after the only 2 handicapped spots are now "reserved for future residents". This made me so mad. First, you realize your whole business is catering to the elderly? Family visits, friends, caretakers, medical staff, AH staff, spouses, hospice workers, the list goes on. Why would you take one of the most accessible and elderly friendly spots in a small parking lot and give it to YOURSELF. That screams selfish. Another, why do "future residents" or those coming to tour need special spots when you are taking away from the people that actually live/work there? That screams money grabbing to me. It completely rubbed me the wrong way and I will be looking out for more "updates" that are catering to bringing money in, rather than making the experience and life of residents and their family better. We picked this place because everyone really seemed to CARE about the people who lived here and needed help, and gave excellent support to the family/friends of those people.

American House Memory Care Unit is great, staff cares for the residents. Moved my mother into this center October 2022, they took care of her until she passed in May 2023. I had no interaction with the Ex Director, so I have no review for him.

My family and I are thrilled that we found such a wonderful place for my mom. The building is very clean and smelled good, staff is extremely friendly and helpful (everyone was always smiling). Lisa and Mohamed made the entire process seamless (they’re seriously wonderful). We toured many communities before finding this gem. We got that “cozy warm welcoming” feeling while visiting. Definitely Recommend!

Looks very nice. Haven't been there yet
December 2022
Overall this is a really good place., Clean environment , courteous, nice, caring employees and management staff. I would give it five stars if it wasn’t for a problem recently, with one employee whom is extremely hostile. I really hope management deals with that situation and that person. It’s this person‘s belief that employees triggered, angry or hostile defensive behavior from a couple of residents on one particular day. Some personalities are not meant to work with our elderly whom can have some difficult behaviors, or want to Xpress some autonomy. My mom has been there for a few months now, we hope to have her there long term, until her end. She and we like it there. Now looking at this from my professional perspective, this is a very good home, with a positive environment for assisted living needs with autonomy. The cost is fair, and when you’re inside, it feels very clean! I noticed. A added benefit of utilizing their medication assistance. Med passer‘s require additional training to follow CMS guidelines. But this is fixable with additional training and solid policies and procedures. 5 rights is vital to help stop errors. Verifying medication with resident prior to handing medication over to resident.

My friend was looking for a living place for her Mom. Very nice.
September 2020
My mother first lived in the assisted living section of the building and now lives in memory care. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 shut down limited my visits to my mothers window, but I made the best of itEventually we could have outside visits ( masked and a maximum of 2 people). I am so very pleased with the care my mother is receiving during this pandemic. Although its challenging to not be allowed in the building, I wouldnt have it any other way. The ultimate goal is the safety of the residents. To date there has not been any COVID cases in memory care. That says everything! I want to thank the entire staff for all that they do. Every job is important and they have all shown themselves to be unsung heroes!

We put our mom here and it was wonderful. The staff was always nice and helpful and we never seen any drama. The place was clean and well kept and the food was good. If my mom didnt make it to lunch they just brought it to her. We only had her there for 5 months but though out those months we never had a single problem.
