Dorothy, my mother of 74 years, has been a resident of the Manteca Commons Union Ranch for a little over two years. My family and I have witnessed the excellent way that the Commons staff operates. We have witnessed the friendliness, staff support, and the patient and professional oversight of my Mom's health care impacts. My family's original first look at the Commons struck is in a great way, mainly because of the beauty, ambiance, and setup of the Commons facility and grounds. After a little more than two years of several days per week visits my sister Diane and I have never seen any variance to the clean and will kept facilities and staff effectiveness. Recently my Mom's loving and fair-minded personality has slipped into another hard to deal with attitude that is caused by dementia and possibly a UTI medical challenge that The Commons helped us diagnose and treat. We appreciate the open, friendly, and accommodating way The Commons team provides us. The Commons team is honest and has the power to work out the appropriate cost and conditions of the care that my Mom requires. Matt and Jasmin have had to work through several of Mom's out of character comments and actions. The Commons handled her miss-deeds in a professional and very correct way. Kayla, Angela, and Giselle, arranged for a phone meeting that we agreed to do last Sunday. The Commons at Union Ranch team patiently and effectively laid out the challenges that my Mom was having with her independent living situation. The Commons description of the benefits and costs of moving her to the Memory Care Unit was explained very well with no pressure on us to make the decisions to move her to a much safer and appropriate life style. My family have all witnessed the honest, friendly, and understanding way that the Manteca Commons Union Ranch staff give during our many visits with mom. We all have witnessed the great care The Commons gives to my Mother during the last stage of her life. She has transitioned her personality because of dementia and often has "sundowner experiences. The Commons team knows how to help Mom deal with her delusions, and they always call us when they see her in stress that we can help her to deal with. She has said things to The Commons staff that she would have never thought to say when she was healthy and clear minded. My family and I often explained to our family and friends about the great care that Mom gets at The Commons Union Ranch in Manteca for over two years.

The Commons takes very good care of my elderly mother. Preet is always on top of her medication refills and Chandra, Liz, and all 3 Jasmines treat her very well, dress her, and get her to her meals.

This is an exceptional facility. It is well designed and beautiful. The apartments are bright and cheery, the staff is friendly and always greets you with a smile. The residents we have talked to seem so happy. Our dining experience was excellent. The family was able to sample the food in the dining area and we have eaten at some restaurants where the food doesn’t even compare to what they served us. My husband ordered fish because that is a tell-tale sign of a good chef and it was delicious! This review has a lot to do with your Marketing Director, Deanna, she has all the qualities we looked for when looking for a place for our mom who has dementia. She took the time touring us on two separate weekends. She answered all of our questions and made it so easy for us to make a decision. She is low-pressure, patient and empathetic. Having to make this decision for our mom was difficult but she put us at ease. We quickly reserved the 2 bedroom and we are so excited to move her in where so can spend her later years in a facility as beautiful as The Commons at Union Ranch. We are actually jealous! We should be so lucky to live here! For us, The Commons checked all the boxes

I volunteered here for 15 yrs helping in activities. 3 years ago I married someone from here and we live here together now. The staff here are excellent and I would like to honor 1 particular person. Espie Valdez has helped us so much, she even helped with the wedding. I cannot praise her enough. She will go out of her way to help people and she always has a smile on her face. In my opinion these folks are the best in the business. My Mom needed a place to live after she was physically unable to stay in her home of 65 years. We moved her in using a wheelchair and needless to say it, was a difficult adjustment. From the first hour she was there she was welcomed and assured that they can and will help her adjust and thrive in her new home. They have consistently been patient and kind with our entire family. The staff, from the wait staff in the restaurant, housekeeping, front desk (Grace and Espie and all others), med techs, Chefs, business office, and EVERY member of the team has treated her with respect and care. She now walks around the entire facility daily, including outdoor walks and the beauty shop, and has a growing social life. Deanna told me she would be in good hands, and she has delivered on that promise. The attitude of every staff member is that we are all caregivers and can help make sure she is happy and safe. They have hit it out of the park as far as I’m concerned.

It’s unfortunate that they are short staffed in memory care. The help they do have try very hard but their isn’t enough staff so they are overworked . The food rarely matches what the menu says or it’s missing items and the Chef doesn’t seem to care about that side of residence as he does about the other . The food rarely matches what is served on the other side or that is offered on the weekly menu. Snacks do not show up on some days and since alot of them eat at 7:30 or 8 and they have to wait until 11:45 or noon for anything else including a drink. Desserts are often missing at lunch more often lately.

I would like to recognize DeAnna from The Commons at Union Ranch. She is the most loving, caring, and gentle woman I know. This past weekend she hosted an event for My group called Compassionate Friends (parents that have lost a child) with a beautiful Butterfly release ceremony. She also provided a luncheon and music. I'm really impressed with the team at the Commons Union Ranch they are all very welcoming. DeAnna and I have hosted events together and she always goes above and beyond to ensure her residents are having a great time. DeAnna has a very calm and welcoming spirit and makes it easy to connect with her. Karen the Nurse is also amazing she is truly a hands-on nurse and she ready to help whenever her staff or residents need support. Gracie at the front desk is amazing she keeps it bright and welcoming. I will always refer to The Commons Union Ranch.

This afternoon we were invited to attend a Luau event that The Commons was hosting.Looks like the community came out to support as well.We walked in and instantly felt the family like environment.DeAnna greeted us and was gracious and inviting welcoming us in.The whole Commons staff seemed like they trully love what they do.The residents looked happy and in good spirits.Good food, good music, and one Awesome event!

We moved my Father in law to the Commons at Union Ranch on May 10th From Astoria in Tracy. We have been pleasantly surprised by the excellent care he is getting. As that wasn't always the case at Astoria. (There are some good people at Astoria. The rest need to get off their phones and do the job.)His teeth are being brushed, his grooming even though he is bedbound (non ambulatory) has been top notch. The food is excellent and he hasn't had any falls so far. He forgets he can't walk and decides he needs to go to work. He's going to be late and he needs to get up. Then he'll fall.Lewy bodies Dementia is a horrible disease it steals your loved one a little at a time. The folks at the Commons really seem to care and listen when you tell them about your person. We feel that Dad is being cared for and is safe here. So far we are giving the Commons at Union Ranch 5 stars.

The apartments are spacious and comfortable. Any needs are seen to rapidly. It’s a happy place. There’s laughter in the background throughout the day. The food is awesome good thanks to Chef Juan who is very accommodating and accomplished. Activities throughout the day, road trips, shopping, beautiful gardens to walk, special events for residents, beautiful decore. In the 5 months my mother has lived there we have never heard any discouraging words or negative noises. It’s a wonderful and safe place to live. We highly recommend you visit and see for yourself. The atmosphere will impress you.

My 81 year old Dad lives at the Commons @ Union Ranch in Manteca. They have an exceptional staff there. They’re kind, caring and excellent at what they do. The community is very beautiful, bright and cheery. They have lots of activities for the residents to participate in and enjoy. My Dad is loved and cared for by all the staff there. It is a blessing that my Dad was able to move there when he needed to.

The staff at The Commons at Union Ranch went above and beyond to provide care for my dad. His disability was unique, compared to other clients, and he needed a higher level of care than most. They were very patient and friendly with him and always kept me informed. It can be hard when your loved one needs more care than you are able to provide, the staff also gave me support and resources to help get through difficult times. The facility is beautiful, clean, and they offer many social activities for all likes. Your loved ones are in good hands here.

My aunt moved from the East Coast to live closer to me in Manteca. She began living on the assisted living side (AL) in April of 2022. To say the Commons is a great place is an understatement! Everyone that I have encountered with at the Commons have been respectful, loving and friendly. But, the person that comes to my mind is Karen Silva. She is a wonder Person and she exudes compassion. She went and has gone above and beyond to make sure my aunt and my family are comfortable with my aunt’s environment. She is knowledgeable in her field. She always gives her undivided attention. When my aunt showed signs of needed to transfer to CFL (Memory Care) in July 2023, she helped facilitate the move to go as smoothly as possible. My family and I cannot thank her enough!

The commons at union ranch has been my mother’s home for twelve years. Her experience has been one of a caring staff which truly looks after her needs 24/7. As an example of their commitment it was my mom’s 100th birthday this past week. The commons offered our family free use of the bistro area, decorated the room with balloons, festive tables, flowers , baked a cake and provided all plates, utensils and glasses. Believe me when I say that’s not nearly all they did. Staff came in , some on their day off to assist with the party and help other residents in attendance. Sheri Kimbro and her team are really one of a kind and our family thanks them and commends them for their hard and loving work.

We are so grateful to have found this wonderful place that our parents call home now. It truly feels very warm and the staff is super nice and accommodating. Professional and loving staff, very clean and organized. Looks like a cruiseship on land. The apartments are very roomy and my inlaws reside together thankfully we didn't have to separate them. With around the clock care, they get service like staying in a hotel. 3 meals with choices, daily activities and weekly and monthly outings. Its all worth it to know my loved ones are in good hands and well cared for. Thank you! °

DeAnna in the Sales Department made our very quick visit enjoyable and most accommodating. She truly heard what our needs were and bent over backwards to accommodate us. This is a beautiful Assisted living Residence for your loved one. It's completely updated, very warm and just like home. The Residents all are very happy and the staff seem very happy as well. It is small enough to know you by name, yet very professional. It was a huge Blessing to be referred to The Commons and Deanna made the transition very easy and fast.
