My Mom moved into Bonaventure just over a year ago, and it has been the best thing for her! She loves being around people her own age, and the staff is always super friendly to her and to us. She enjoys the meals, and there are so many activities for her to choose from. It has gone so well, we sometimes think we should have done this sooner!

My dad has been at Bonaventure of CR for 10 months now and really enjoys it. He isn't a very social person but he is always telling me how everyone is so nice and knows his name. The food is amazing. It is very aesthetically pleasing and a comfortable place to be, both in the community areas and the rooms. Being situated in the middle of the Meadows adds a lot to the external atmosphere, feels like you are part of the greater community, right by the homes, schools, parks, and retail areas and with a view of the mountains and Castle Rock's terrain. There were some quirks we had to work out with the staff in the beginning, but the staff is great, they are just understaffed at times but they work extraordinarily hard to compensate when that is the case, they are very responsive. Heather and Bobbie are great.

My mom truly considers Bonaventure in Castle Rock, CO home. Heather, Bobbi, Marissa and the entire staff treat all the residents like family, it’s an amazing community! My mom enjoys all the fun activities, they definitely make sure the residents have things to do during the day/evening. It gives me peace knowing my mom is loved and safe.

I'm so grateful that we found Bonaventure! It's been the ideal environment for my Dad to age in place. He's made friends and they eat meals and watch movies together. His apartment is spacious. The staff and leadership are caring and friendly and responsive. The building is beautiful. The food is decent (and getting better, now that a new chef arrived). It's clear that the change of leadership several years ago has made a huge difference in morale. I would highly recommend Bonaventure of Castle Rock!

My wife and I moved into Bonaventure a few months ago. After comparing 11 other properties, we decided that this one was the right one for us. The location in Castle Rock was very convenient and central to our doctors and places we did business with. The staff is very friendly and willing to help us with anything we might need. They are constantly focused on making our stay wonderful and enjoyable. The best thing is the people who live here. They are our new family. We enjoy being with them and they are always having our back. We play together, support each other, encourage one another and we have done things together that otherwise we would have missed. It has a homey atmosphere with most amenities close by. The food is great and there are wonderful events and tours to enjoy throughout the area. The best thing is that the staff encourages everyone to participate in fun activities and social events. I compare our life here to living on a cruise ship without the danger of falling overboard. I strongly recommend Bonaventure if you are seeking a wonderful place to live.

Moving into Bonaventure in Castle Rock, Colorado was the best decision I made in years. All of the staff are thoughtful and caring. The amount and diversity of activities is, frankly, unimaginable. Studies have proven that the best things that the elderly can do is to be active and, most importantly, have conversations/ interactions with others. There are multiple unusual and fantastic activities every day, including the weekends. These include speakers, singers, musicians, card and board games, Murder Mystery, therapy dog visits, tech tutor, wheelchair/ walker tuneups, and numerous trips which often include picnic lunches. In addition to all of this, you earn "fun bucks" when you attend activities, which you can use at quarterly auctions. I'm especially excited because this month we are going to Lion King at DCPA and to the Denver Aquarium. Bonaventure Castle Rock has two beautiful dining rooms with great mountain views and serves three meals each day. Other bonuses include living within a block of a hospital and a fire department. I am so thankful to be living here and I'm happier than I've been in years. All of the staff members are so nice and do a great job. This is a very happy place.

I am a Senior Referral specialist, and with that I take my work very seriously. Of the communities that I would recommend, to the families I work with, Bonaventure is definitely one that I would do so wholeheartedly. The executive director has a heart of pure gold and with that it filters down to an amazing team that clearly care about their residents and the little details that make a big difference. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a warm, inviting, an active community for their loved one. It is one of my go to places to show families in the Castle Rock/Parker Area.

I really liked living at this facility because of the staff and residents. My apartment was light and comfortable as well. I had a problem in that my dishwasher was not connected and it never got done. There was a whole saga, but needless to say promises were not kept. I put up with it because it was of little inconvenience to me. Now, however, the promise of a remittance of $5800.00 is not being kept and that is causing me great distress! That amount was taken from my bank account over one month ago, on the day I moved from the facility, and has yet to show up in my mail. I have contacted the staff but with no response. This seems extremely dishonest and irresponsible to me and I would warn others to be careful. I hope I get my money back...not like the dishwasher that never got hooked up! 7 October Ok! I must take back some of my remarks. Just had a call from the Director at the castle rock facility and she assured me my check will arrive soon. (I guess it's the corporate policy to delay a month on returns) In any case I must reiterate the fact that I really enjoyed the people who work there and my stay was pleasurable in so many ways! I'm grateful they are caring enough to respond back to me in such a caring way

The first time I toured this place was over a year ago. It was like crickets walking through the front doors. I decided to go back and take another look last fall. I was at least greeted and given a tour of the facility. I felt very uneasy due to the poor reviews. This is a very important decision for your loved ones. Due to the time and attention given, I was having a change of heart. Well not long after that I found out there was going to be a major staff change. So that brought all of the bad reviews back to the forefront. I met with Heather who was the newly assigned executive director. She gave me so much time and hand holding through this difficult process. Which was just what I needed to help me move forward with my mother’s living situation. My mom has now been a resident for the last 7 months. I can say it was the best decision for the both of us! Walking through the front doors of Bonaventure is truly night and day! From the flowers and decor welcoming you in the main doors, to the music and people all around in the lobby when you walk in. There is always something going on. The place is extremely clean and everyone has been nothing but helpful and friendly. Most importantly, my mom loves it! Thank you Heather and team!

We moved our elderly father and his wife to Castle Rock from Texas recently. My sister and I researched multiple facilities in the south Denver metro area. When we visited Bonaventure the first time, we asked Heather Brown (Executive Director) about the poor online reviews, their cause, and what she was doing to address the concerns. She was in her first week as ED and could easily have blamed her predecessor but, instead, she took personal responsibility for the problems, was transparent about their causes, and talked at length about what she was doing to address them. In the end we made the decision to place our father and his wife at Bonaventure for many reasons - appearance and condition of the facility, size of assisted living apartments, cost, convenience, and quality of the staff we met - but also because of Heather, who impressed us with her leadership. Since moving our father into the facility, we have continued to be impressed. They are very pleased with the quality and condition of the facility, their new apartment (which was renovated before they moved in), the quality of the food, and the attentiveness and friendliness of the management and staff. My sister and I have been particularly impressed and pleased with the support we received from Heather and her team during the five-day transition in moving our father and his wife into the facility. They made a temporary fully-furnished room available until we could get them moved in, went out and purchased their favorite snacks the morning they arrived, bent over backwards to make certain their special needs were taken care of during the transition, and loaned us two pieces of furniture until their new furniture arrived. They were also responsive and very helpful in the 6 weeks before we made the move. We have met all of the executive team and many of the caregivers and support staff. All have been very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our experience with Bonaventure has been very positive and the other residents with whom we have spoken have also been very pleased. It will take time to cement the changes Heather and her team are making, but they are off to an excellent start and we are thrilled with the choice we made to place our father and his wife at Bonaventure. We recommend them to others who are looking for high quality care for their family members.

We moved my wife to Bonaventure of Castle Rock in June 2024. Although her stay was brief, she was well cared for by both the facility staff and daily hospice care from Bloom Hospice. I would visit her every day and we were blessed to became part of the Bonaventure family. Starting with management, on down to the caregivers who would look after her every need, to the activities coordinator who would sit and read or sing to her. We were in the memory wing and every day I would walk through and visit with the residents who were always glad to see me. They were all well cared for and it showed. My only regret is that my wife was unable to get to know them as I did. When my wife passed, we were surrounded by loving compassion from all our new family. This may all sound mushy, but when you’ve walked a mile in my shoes, you’ll understand as I do that a care facility is nothing more than the people who will care for you or your loved one. In the end, my wife was able to pass with peace and dignity. From beginning to end, Bonaventure of Castle Rock made the process easy enough that I was able to concentrate on my wife and preparing for an uncertain future.

It was hard to leave our home of 12 years. Our neighborhood had become an extended family, where everyone knew and cared for one another. When we came to Bonaventure of Castle Rock nearly one year ago, we found the same atmosphere. When people ask us why we chose Bonaventure, we say "it's the people" (residents and staff). One of the great joys is visiting with people at meal time. We talk about our families, current events, and hopes for the future. If you are looking for a senior living facility, we would encourage you to look at Bonaventure of Castle Rock. We're glad we made the move.

Making changes in your life is hard. My family had to make some hard decisions, and one of them was to place my father in a senior community. Let me tell that is one of the hardest things I had to do. Seen your father change in front of your eyes was heartbreaking, but I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to find people that care for what they do and for strangers. You don’t find that anymore, and people don’t care like they use to. Bonaventure of Castle Rock guide my family through the process they help us and were there to support us. I never thought that my sisters and I would be ones needing that type of help and support. Now I know that my Dad was not the only one moving in. Thank you, Bonaventure and staff, for the help

My parents have lived here for quite some time, and from the moment they moved in it has been a continuously pleasant experience. I moved them here because I was moving out of state and wanted them to be safe, and I must say the communication with the staff and the care they show my family has been so wonderful that I haven't worried about them once! Every time I talk to my mom and dad on the phone they are telling me how wonderful their friends there are and how much they enjoy the activities, especially all the various singers and musicians that come to perform. When I call the receptionists are always warm and inviting, and are very kind in person as well. I've only dined with my parents at Bonaventure a couple of times, but the food was outstanding both times, and they seem very pleased with their daily dining experience. I could go on and on about how magnificent Bonaventure has been. It is such a blessing to have the peace of mind that comes from having my mom and dad here. I can't thank the team here enough for all they do, they really go above and beyond in every manner and I am so grateful. Thank you Bonaventure in Castle Rock!

My dad lived at Bonaventure for a year and a half. He enjoyed access to the many activities offered and the friendliness of all whom he met there. Even though there had been staff changes over the time he was there, his care was not overlooked. The caregivers ensured he was well taken care of and his needs/requests were met. He had a wonderful relationship with these caregivers as well as the new AL Director who was hired earlier this year. I am forever grateful for her kindness, knowledge and care she provided during the most difficult time of my Dad's passing. Many staff and caregivers were there to provide support as well. Yes, there were staff changes throughout the time my Dad was there, but I don't feel they lost sight of what Bonaventure's goal is - "Retirement Perfected".

Putting a loved one in a senior living center is never easy. The entire staff at Bonaventure has made this an extremely pleasant experience for us. We have a very unique situation with my mother and the staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate us. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It offers so many opportunities for seniors to enjoy themselves while providing them with spacious living units. Transportation to necessary appointments, grocery shopping and field trips is provided. There is a movie theater, beauty salon, hospitality area complete with bar, pool table, shuffle board and even a jukebox! There is a large area where cooking and jewelry classes are held as well as bingo and bible study. There is even an art studio for those with creative minds! The food in the restaurant is adequate. The library is stocked with books as well as computers and printers. The Bistro is a very welcoming area which provides drinks, snacks and soft serve ice cream. All of this as well as housekeeping once a week is included in the rent. On a scale of 1-10 I give this facility a rating of 15 and I highly recommend it for your loved one!

2 stars may be generous, although I know the Care Givers work hard and seem to care about the residents, and it is a nice facility. We moved our Dad out of Bonaventure Castle Rock just before the holidays out of frustration of simply wanting better care and getting the services he was paying for. We had several meetings with different Executive Directors, and just when we thought we were getting somewhere that Director would leave and we would have to start all over with the new person. So much turnover should be alarming to anyone considering moving here. His apartment was not cleaned due to "Housekeeping shortage", sheets were not changed on a daily basis as they were requested to. Shower assistance not given as requested. Medicine not given because they hadn't received a Dr's order, however they did not contact any of us to let us know this was needed. Staff were supposed to encourage him to walk to at least one meal a day, that lasted for a week. One day he left the building by himself and drove across Founders Parkway in his Scooter and we were told he was allowed to leave the building. How is that keeping him in safe care? So many worrisome issues we decided to move him closer to one of our family members. Would NOT recommend Bonaventure of Castle Rock.

Upon visiting the facility I met many of the residents. They were very happy with their director they thought she understood them and that she cared. To me this is very important because as we age our family members need to know that someone cares about them especially when we can't be with them at all times. The rooms for a single man are spacious. Thesefacilities are accessible for wheelchairs and walker, especially bathrooms and kitchen areas. This is one of the best that I have found for my 90 year old father.

This community has a great team here that has so much heart to care for their residents. The community is beautiful, the food is excellent now, the chef Mark does a great job and has great food. Donna the Executive Director has been a part of the community for several years and we couldn't ask for a better person in charge of our community. Staff is smiling and I always feel their warm welcome when I come into the community. I have been since the building opened and think the community is better than ever. If you want to move to a great place, this is the place to live. You must come see it to see why it is so great.
