The first time I toured this place was over a year ago. It was like crickets walking through the front doors. I decided to go back and take another look last fall. I was at least greeted and given a tour of the facility. I felt very uneasy due to the poor reviews. This is a very important decision for your loved ones. Due to the time and attention given, I was having a change of heart. Well not long after that I found out there was going to be a major staff change. So that brought all of the bad reviews back to the forefront. I met with Heather who was the newly assigned executive director. She gave me so much time and "hand holding" through this difficult process. Which was just what I needed to help me move forward with my mother's living situation. My mom has now been a resident for the last 7 months. I can say it was the best decision for the both of us! Walking through the front doors of Bonaventure is truly night and day! From the flowers and decor welcoming you in the main doors, to the music and people all around in the lobby when you walk in. There is always something going on. The place is extremely clean and everyone has been nothing but helpful and friendly. Most importantly, my mom loves it! Thank you Heather and team!

We moved our elderly father and his wife to Castle Rock from Texas recently. My sister and I researched multiple facilities in the south Denver metro area. When we visited Bonaventure the first time, we asked Heather Brown (Executive Director) about the poor online reviews, their cause, and what she was doing to address the concerns. She was in her first week as ED and could easily have blamed her predecessor but, instead, she took personal responsibility for the problems, was transparent about their causes, and talked at length about what she was doing to address them. In the end we made the decision to place our father and his wife at Bonaventure for many reasons - appearance and condition of the facility, size of assisted living apartments, cost, convenience, and quality of the staff we met - but also because of Heather, who impressed us with her leadership. Since moving our father into the facility, we have continued to be impressed. They are very pleased with the quality and condition of the facility, their new apartment (which was renovated before they moved in), the quality of the food, and the attentiveness and friendliness of the management and staff. My sister and I have been particularly impressed and pleased with the support we received from Heather and her team during the five-day transition in moving our father and his wife into the facility. They made a temporary fully-furnished room available until we could get them moved in, went out and purchased their favorite snacks the morning they arrived, bent over backwards to make certain their special needs were taken care of during the transition, and loaned us two pieces of furniture until their new furniture arrived. They were also responsive and very helpful in the 6 weeks before we made the move. We have met all of the executive team and many of the caregivers and support staff. All have been very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Our experience with Bonaventure has been very positive and the other residents with whom we have spoken have also been very pleased. It will take time to cement the changes Heather and her team are making, but they are off to an excellent start and we are thrilled with the choice we made to place our father and his wife at Bonaventure. We recommend them to others who are looking for high quality care for their family members.

I live in South Carolina and was on the phone with my Mom. She mentioned that she was having a hard time swallowing and had no water. Not choking, but definitely struggling to swallow. I immediately texted Heather Brown and her staff. They were there in less than two minutes!!! So a big shout out to Heather Brown, (not pictured), Ines, Laura, Doris, and Apple!! Y'all were on it to take care of my mom!! God bless you and your dedication!!!

We moved my wife to Bonaventure of Castle Rock in June 2024. Although her stay was brief, she was well cared for by both the facility staff and daily hospice care from Bloom Hospice. I would visit her every day and we were blessed to became part of the Bonaventure family. Starting with management, on down to the caregivers who would look after her every need, to the activities coordinator who would sit and read or sing to her. We were in the memory wing and every day I would walk through and visit with the residents who were always glad to see me. They were all well cared for and it showed. My only regret is that my wife was unable to get to know them as I did. When my wife passed, we were surrounded by loving compassion from all our new family. This may all sound mushy, but when you've walked a mile in my shoes, you'll understand as I do that a care facility is nothing more than the people who will care for you or your loved one. In the end, my wife was able to pass with peace and dignity. From beginning to end, Bonaventure of Castle Rock made the process easy enough that I was able to concentrate on my wife and preparing for an uncertain future.

It was hard to leave our home of 12 years. Our neighborhood had become an extended family, where everyone knew and cared for one another. When we came to Bonaventure of Castle Rock nearly one year ago, we found the same atmosphere. When people ask us why we chose Bonaventure, we say "it's the people" (residents and staff). One of the great joys is visiting with people at meal time. We talk about our families, current events, and hopes for the future. If you are looking for a senior living facility, we would encourage you to look at Bonaventure of Castle Rock. We're glad we made the move.

I had the pleasure of working here 6 months in the Activities dept. I also have had my mother in many facilities of various sorts, so I have a perspective for comparison on how a facility can fail. This facility is VERY nice. The folks who live here are also very nice. The staff work hard and try to attend to each person, which is a huge task. I dont disagree with earlier reviews that Corporate does not support the staff at this location well, but the staff handles it as well as possible. The Corporate office is the cause for the extreme turnover in the upper management and the distress of executive management causes others to leave. Those who have stayed bear a lot of stress and it affects their mental health in obvious ways- mood, tone, energy level, etc. If I could suggest one thing, it would be that they take better care of their valued employees, providing encouragement and appreciation in the form of recognition, time off, corporate support, etc. rather than constant micromanagement and criticism of their performance.Regardless of the office politics, the care is good and they try hard here. Your loved one will be cared for and kept well.

My dad lived at Bonaventure for a year and a half. He enjoyed access to the many activities offered and the friendliness of all whom he met there. Even though there had been staff changes over the time he was there, his care was not overlooked. The caregivers ensured he was well taken care of and his needs, requests were met. He had a wonderful relationship with these caregivers as well as the new AL Director who was hired earlier this year. I am forever grateful for her kindness, knowledge and care she provided during the most difficult time of my Dads passing. Many staff and caregivers were there to provide support as well. Yes, there were staff changes throughout the time my Dad was there, but I dont feel they lost sight of what Bonaventures goal is - Retirement Perfected.

My mom moved into Bonaventure 3 1, 2 years ago. Although the administration has changed a number of times during those 3 1, 2 years my comfort with her being safe and taken care of has never faltered. The activities are diverse and plentiful ranging from margarita Monday to fitness classes daily. The entertainment that they bring in is truly quality entertainment. The caregivers, med passer‘s and nurses have all shown a true passion and empathy for the people they work with. We have recently had to move my mom to another facility for memory care but it wasnt without many tears and sadness in saying goodbye.

Making changes in your life is hard. My family had to make some hard decisions, and one of them was to place my father in a senior community. Let me tell that is one of the hardest things I had to do. Seen your father change in front of your eyes was heartbreaking, but Im grateful that I had the opportunity to find people that care for what they do and for strangers. You dont find that anymore, and people dont care like they use to. Bonaventure of Castle Rock guide my family through the process they help us and were there to support us. My parents have lived here for quite some time, and from the moment they moved in it has been a continuously pleasant experience. I moved them here because I was moving out of state and wanted them to be safe, and I must say the communication with the staff and the care they show my family has been so wonderful that I havent worried about them once! Every time I talk to my mom and dad on the phone they are telling me how wonderful their friends there are and how much they enjoy the activities, especially all the various singers and musicians that come to perform. When I call the receptionists are always warm and inviting, and are very kind in person as well. Ive only dined with my parents at Bonaventure a couple of times, but the food was outstanding both times, and they seem very pleased with their daily dining experience.I could go on and on about how magnificent Bonaventure has been. It is such a blessing to have the peace of mind that comes from having my mom and dad here. I cant thank the team here enough for all they do, they really go above and beyond in every manner and I am so grateful.Thank you Bonaventure in Castle Rock!

For Jessi First off, we know who you really are. We have never had an employee named Jessi while I have been employed here. You have not shown up for your shift and not even bother to call the facility to let them know you couldnt come in. How is that fair to the residents?I have been working at Bonaventure of Castle Rock for almost a year now. I can honestly tell you that I have never worked at a better place. The management and staff are very kind and I have had no issues with being treaded unfairly nor have I witnessed management being unkind to other employees. I absolutely love working here.I also pass medications here, you did not. How are you saying you know these facts about the medications when you are not qualified to pass medications? We do have all medications and every employee who passes medications has taken the QMAP class and is certified to pass medications at our facility. It is beyond ridiculous that someone can say these hurtful and untrue statements. I have NEVER witnessed any type of physical or verbal abuse towards residents. We LOVE all of our residents so much. We truly go above and beyond so they have the best quality of care. If one of my family members needed to find a assisted, retirement, memory care home, I wouldnt hesitate to have them live here at Bonaventure of Castle Rock.

Putting a loved one in a senior living center is never easy. The entire staff at Bonaventure has made this an extremely pleasant experience for us. We have a very unique situation with my mother and the staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate us. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It offers so many opportunities for seniors to enjoy themselves while providing them with spacious living units. Transportation to necessary appointments, grocery shopping and field trips is provided. There is a movie theater, beauty salon, hospitality area complete with bar, pool table, shuffle board and even a jukebox! There is a large area where cooking and jewelry classes are held as well as bingo and bible study. There is even an art studio for those with creative minds! The food in the restaurant is adequate. The library is stocked with books as well as computers and printers. The Bistro is a very welcoming area which provides drinks, snacks and soft serve ice cream. All of this as well as housekeeping once a week is included in the rent. On a scale of 1-10 I give this facility a rating of 15 and I highly recommend it for your loved one!

I have worked here for almost 2 years. Yes I have seen a lot of people come and go but I have to say that the management and staff we have is wonderful. Not everyone is cut out to work in this industry. It takes a special person and we have those here now. I love my job, I love my residents and I love my coworkers. I cant imagine not working here. The residents here make my heart so happy and I love it when I can make their day a little more special. Every job has ups and downs but I wouldnt want to work anywhere else.

Ive worked here for nearly a year, and I must say I love my job. Senior care definitely isnt for everyone - it can be challenging and constantly tests you in new ways. But for me, I cant think of a job that could be more rewarding. It is an honor to help take care of these residents, and they constantly make me laugh and warm my heart in return. My management team is awesome and makes sure that teammates have the tools they need to take care of our residents. I never feel like I cant ask for help, and our team always comes together to help each other out. My bosses make coming to work a great experience that I look forward to every week. We are starting to explore options for our parents so we decided to look at Bonaventure. A friend of my parents referred us here.From the minute we walked in we were greeted by the receptionist, Sabrina. She was very friendly and welcomed us in. She was very genuine and asked about us, where we were from and took some information. We were then introduced to Kirsten, the Assistant Executive Director. She sat down with us and went over all of our wants and needs. We then saw a few rooms, which are very nice and exactly what we were looking for. My parents love the community. There was an activity going on in the lobby while we were there and a lot of residents were involved. They invited us to stay for lunch, so we did and it was great. The chef came out to meet us and he is very friendly. Overall, the community is outstanding. We will definitely be moving our parents to Bonaventure of Castle Rock when the time comes. Everyone from the front desk, management, kitchen and the caregivers we met were all so nice and seemed to truly love their jobs.

I called here a couple of weeks ago to inquire about Assisted Living for one of my parents who will be moving to Castle Rock at the end of the year. They are looking to sell their house and Mom needs a little more help than dad can give her. When I called, I was greeted very professionally and was transferred to someone that could answer my questions and give me an idea of pricing. I plan on going in to take a tour soon to look around. I am hopeful that I will be treated just as well in person as I was over the phone. Picking an assisted living community for my parents has not been an easy task, but it does help when you are treated well.

Upon visiting the facility I met many of the residents. They were very happy with their director they thought she understood them and that she cared. To me this is very important because as we age our family members need to know that someone cares about them especially when we cant be with them at all times. The rooms for a single man are spacious. Thesefacilities are accessible for wheelchairs and walker, especially bathrooms and kitchen areas. This is one of the best that I have found for my 90 year old father.

My mother and I took a look at this place. It was beautiful. Very extravagant. Everyone was so friendly and you could tell that the atmosphere of the place was happy and lively. It seemed that there was some fun activity happening in a different place in the building the whole time we were there. My mom and I are still looking for a place, just to check out our options, but this one is certainly in the running.

This community has a great team here that has so much heart to care for their residents. The community is beautiful, the food is excellent now, the chef Mark does a great job and has great food. Donna the Executive Director has been a part of the community for several years and we couldnt ask for a better person in charge of our community. Staff is smiling and I always feel their warm welcome when I come into the community. I have been since the building opened and think the community is better than ever. If you want to move to a great place, this is the place to live. You must come see it to see why it is so great.
