After relocating to Manatee County nearly 20 years ago we learned about Freedom Village in general terms from friends who reside here. The decision to make it our home became Plan B when my wife Jean advised she was no longer planning to cook! Without fail our de-cluttering and moving became easier with the help and guidance from an extensive list of staff members who seems to stay a step ahead of any issue. The list of amenities at FV is endless; however, I have to point out that the intangible item is the wonderful aspect of extensive 'socialization' with the residents that develop along with residency--a wonderful experience in itself! Head of maintenance, Ricardo Artz; masterfully skillful, Rebel in housekeeping should be advancing I hope due to his work ethic & excellent people skills. CDS: Efrin/Margarito are skilled contractors! Both my grandmother & mother, Darlene Cole, have been joyful independent living residents. Transportation, excellent food, entertainment. Home repair with just a swipe of their pens putting in a work order; thx Dave. The chaplain, Michael, is a heartfelt communicator filled with spiritual guidance & knowledge of the bible. Wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. Very friendly residents. Great food. Multiple activities both on and off the campus. Themed parties at least once a month and they are really fun. Very safe environment with 24/7 security. Highly recommended.

Ambience and elegance always come to mind every time I visit Freedom Village of Bradenton! The residents are extremely friendly and always tell me they wished they had moved there sooner. It's actually a very common sentiment when you talk to folks there. I cannot recommend enough talking to Abby in the administrative office… She is a wealth of information and would be happy to explain what sets their community apart from the others, and, of course, give you a tour! Definitely stop by the cafe for some tasty food while you were there. If you are looking for a CCRC community, this is hands-down at the top of my list of places I would visit.

If you are considering long term care or memory care that is on another level, you must visit Freedom Village of Bradenton. I compare it to a high end luxury hotel with exceptionally compassionate and attentive staff. The overall experience of having my mother who had severe dementia and cancer was exceptional. They cared for her as one would care for your own mother, sister or wife. Big smiles, calm relaxing settings and companionship. You cannot go wrong if caring for your loved one is a priority. Well done Freedom Village, we will never forget you.

I have lived at Freedom Village in the Lexington Independent Living building for four and a half years. I am so happy that my husband and I moved here because it is everything we hoped for and more. Our apartment is spacious and was renovated to our specifications before we moved in. Immediately, we had friends and neighbors who welcomed us and made us feel like family. There are plenty of activities scheduled which we attend--or not--and many trips are planned to various museums, restaurants and entertainments. The food is excellent, served by staff who go out of their way to please us, and the dining room is elegant and spacious. One of the best things is the feeling of safety and security that Freedom Village supplies through the 24/7 concierge desk that takes care of all sorts of problems. One night just as we were getting ready for bed, our smoke alarm started beeping. I called the front desk and ten minutes later a security guard came and changed the battery for us. That's real service. We are truly living an easy, care-free life here at Freedom Village.

There are Art and Craft workshops, a chorus of 40 singers, bridge, mahjong,, and many other card games, exercise classes, water activities, prayer groups, wonderful bus trips, and many more. Close friendships are formed, and there is a strong feeling of support when needed. Don't wait until you are infirm before moving to Freedom Village. My husband Marty and I started looking for CCRC Independent Living communities in Sarasota and Venice in mid 2019. None met our requirements. Then the Pandemic hit. Most communities were reaching out to us virtually. This didn't work for us. You couldn't get the feel of the community. But then we answered an ad on our cell phone from Freedom Village of Bradenton and they very quickly invited us to visit their campus in April 2020. Even though we lived in Sarasota, we knew very little about Bradenton which has turned out to be a delightful community with less traffic than Sarasota. When we arrived at Freedom Village we talked, was shown several apartments on the first floor but we were were not allowed past the apartment due to Covid 19 restrictions thus unable to see any of the campus. Based on the photos shown us, residents having fun at variety of activities, the delicious lunch served us and advice from our financial advisors, we decided this was the right place for us. We moved on September 1, 2020 and knew right away we made the right decision. The residents and staff are the best!

Thank you to a great pt/ot staff helping him get strong, & doing the stairs! The food is gourmet! Important since thats all they have to look forward too, he sent pictures of his meals! I have a feeling we will be back to go to the restaurant! A special thank you to admissions for getting him there; Beverly, Cindy & Breon, social services help Kimgrace & Nic. Thankyou to the patient nurses who put up with him Mo, Rachael, Zee. Friendly housekeeping staff Liz&Choin. But especially you can tell everyone enjoys working there, they come in & greet everyone with a smile! If you need rehab/ nursing care I highly recommend Freedom Village! Thank you for turning a difficult time into an easier sintuation. We felt like we were treated as family & made friends!

My 88 year old mother recently fell and basically fractured her hip and is rehabbing at the Inn at Freedom Village, the staff in the therapy department is very capable and friendly, my mother is not the easiest patient to deal with but they do very well with her, Erin the therapy manager has always been available for updates and concerns. The nurses and aides also have been efficient and pleasant to deal with. We were so impressed with the entire FV campus that mom decided she wanted to move in to one of the independent living apartments permanently. The sales and marketing team including Bruce, Jessica and Jacque made the process of purchasing and remodeling moms new home a pleasant experience and a smooth transition. It's nice to work with people that you know actually care about you as a person and not a number. My mother is looking forward to the years ahead enjoying all the many activities and meeting new friends. Thank you all.

My 94-yr-old mother has been in a studio apartment in Assisted Living at Freedom Village since February 28, 2020. Considering the current challenge of hiring, FV is fortunate to have many long-time, dedicated caregivers like Jade and Kelly on mom's floor who show compassion sprinkled with humor. I also have to mention Shawn, the Activities Director, who is a bundle of unbridled energy and talent. Shawn schedules lots of daily fun events including the popular Friday afternoon live music. Not to be overlooked, the management team is friendly, accessible, and responsive to concerns and is willing to accommodate residents and to make changes when needed.

I moved into Freedom Village several months ago and so far am most impressed. The staff is an amazing group of people, often going above and beyond. The food is great, with many choices for each meal and several dining rooms to choose from. During Covid we have delivery right to our door if we so desired. The screened lanai is my favorite spot in the apartment, and I eat most of my meals there.

My mother has been a resident in the Assisted Living section of Freedom Village of Bradenton for almost two years. During that time I have had the pleasure working with the staff multiple times. It amazes me how many of the employees have long term tenure, and enjoy their jobs. I have experienced nothing but satisfaction with the administration, nurses, floor aids, and maintenance department. My mother never complains about the facility. She compliments the staff, housekeeping and food service. One of her favorite pass times is socializing with other residents, and sitting outside. Following the surgical repair of my fractured femur due to a fall at home, I was transported from Blake Hospital to the Health Center where I spent three weeks. During that time, my family was impressed with the easy transition from busy hospital care to more comfortable rehabilitation.I feel that my physical, recuperative and emotional needs were all met in a friendly and professional mannerYour staff, both medical and administrative, treated me with concerned care. Freedom Village has some of the most caring and wonderful staff that i have ever seen in senior living. The food is great and the campus is beautiful. We moved here in 2011. I was too young of course, but it became the best gift my husband gave me. In the beginning I could enjoy every activity. Then, after my husband died, my health began to decline. Yet living at F, V, a cruise ship on land, my quality of life did not deteriorate.Our activities are the best of every community we checked.Our menus give us so many choices, only a grouch would find fault. There are comment cards on every table, at all times, thatshould you want something added, they see to it.Maintenance and housekeeping are very responsive.Staff are so pleasant I assume it is a hiring requirement.Our General Manager always has time to listen and help.And the concierge desk staff see to every detail of daily living.Yes, it is the staff and services that make my home above all the other places.

Im not sure why all the negative reviews. I visit my aunt there on the regular & every time I do I note another victory in the staffs part. About a month ago my aunt had her false teeth in backwards and one of the competent nurses helped her flip them around.The entire staff are great with pushing wheelchairs nice and straight and their plastic forks and knives are the kind with the shiny finish. As far as the landscaping being only a facade.....well its NOT true. They are real. You can see the roots and everything poking down into the ground. Give ‘em a chance folks, they are even famous for their skilled use of Lysol disinfectant spray all around flat surfaces, doorknobs and metal poles
