The Shoreview 4th floor has been a place for four of my private clients. The care given on the 4th floor is outstanding. It's a quaint floor with activities that take place either on the 4th floor or main floor. Sandra runs the 4th floor with kindness, compassion, and love for her residents. This even extends to making sure that the 4th floor has a beautifully decorated tree each month for every season. She takes great pride in her work and devotion to her residents, and it shows. She makes families and their loved ones feel as special as possible.

From the moment that we meet Leigh at the hospital for the evaluation to the first month of mom living there has been a load off my mind. She is so happy there. Heather made all the paperwork so easy to complete and understand . Leigh is there to help with all of my questions from her health to making a Dr appointment to when the hair dresser comes in. All of the staff has been very kind and helpful. I have read a review here saying the food and rooms are worse than a prison. That has not been my experience.

A home away from home. The director of care Leigh is an amazing person. The staffs are very caring, accommodating and detailed in every word. Everyone live like family and bonds so well. I just want to say I did my community placement here and let me just say it was an amazing experience and I felt like it was my Second home bonding with all the residence especially 4th with my preceptor Sandra McCarthy it was a pleasure and honour to be taught and precepted my her I learned so many skills and got my speed. She has been in this field for a very long time and if u go here for placement I 10000% recommend this place and if your lucky get taught by Sandra McCarthy I will never forget anyone and I will be back !

We recently made an appointment with Shoreview to give my aunt a tour of this facility. I cannot express enough how comfortable Nadia made my aunt and I feel from the second we walked into the residence. Nadia’s kindness, openness, and sense of humour made a very stressful situation very comfortable. She answered all of our questions and never made us feel as if any question were silly. The establishment itself was very clean and well taken care of with friendly staff . I would recommend this retirement home to anyone looking for great care.

My mother in -law has been here for a year now. It has been a great place for her to be. All her food needs are meet. There recreational activities are plentiful but not quite enough to keep her busy for her liking. I am there often and the care that is provided is very caring and loving towards them. Nadia always has a minute to greet us with her up beat attitude and smile. It's a great place for your loved one.

Fraud alert: we were told we were the 4th floor is Memory Care. It is just a secure floor. According to the Retirement Home Act we should have been given a plan of care within 21 days and it should be updated after 6 months. After 8 months of nothing we asked for it. Instead of admitting they had not done it, they gave us a Better You assessment (initial assessment to determine that the care needs are within the home’s scope) that they were trying to pass off as the plan of care.

I was recommended to Shoreview by A Place for Mom for my father who's dementia was starting to get him into quite a bit of trouble at home. They have a wonderful secured floor and were able to take him in right away. The staff is always cheerful, kind and patient with my father and the other residents. I'm truly grateful for the care they have shown.

The Shoreview at Riverside gets a 5 star rating in my book! The staff take personalized service to the next level!! They are an intelligent, proactive team and ahead of the pack with health and safety measures throughout this Covid disaster. They worked through all the mixed messaging and protocols and communication with families was clear, concise, and sensible so we were always informed how my mother was doing and secure in the knowledge that she was in good hands. Communication is fantastic and my calls/emails were always answered quickly. All the staff including admin, nurses, psw's, and even kitchen/housekeeping know all the residents personally. They are always cordial, friendly and smiling because they honestly enjoy making our loved ones happy. My mother joined The Shoreview 'family' in March 2020 - hours before lockdown. She was weak, ill and afraid. In no time at all, on a FaceTime call, she was much healthier, smiling and knew all her new friend's names. She loves the food, she trusts her caregivers, and her room is so comfortable! The Shoreview at Riverside helped our family through the worst possible time and I'm forever grateful.

Went there for a tour, everything was exceptional. What got us the most was the fun the people who live there were having. They were gathered playing games having so much fun. My uncle is happy with this choice

This Retirement home is filled with kind and hard working people. Everyone was very willing to address my concerns and initial reservations. I got to know the management team and quickly discovered how amazing they were, the ladies were always kind and never failed to get back to me quickly if i contacted them with an issue or inquiry. This is genuinely the only home I'd trust to take care of my grandmother. Thanks for everything Shoreview!

Great staff very pleasant everyone is accommodating to the residents needs. Clean and great food. A beautiful outdoor patio with a gazebo and perfect for watching fireworks. Staff are always smiling and welcoming to every visitor that comes through their doors.

We really liked it there in the beginning.. but then they failed to tell us important information about our family member there, sent her to the hospital alone without any ID or medical information (she was suffering from dementia and had short term memory issues), and when my husband and I went to bring her back there after the hospital they misplaced her room key and her walker.

Nice for Retirement residemce. Short term stay guests are forced to stay on forth floor amd rarely leave their rooms. Needs an on site doctor to look after sicker patients/guests getting assessed for long term placement.
