My best suggestion is to find another place for your loved one. The " caregivers" ( if you call them that ) are not nice and very rude and get angry with patients. They do not know how to care and respect their elders in the facility. My mom was there two years. She ended up in the hospital for a week due to them not giving her her antibiotic for a UTI which turned into a serious infection. She was very sick and was ignored and yelled at to get up. She didnt eat for 3 days and they said nothing. Did they ever check on her in hospital?? NOT ONCE. Needless to say she is not there anymore or at any of their other locations. They do not answer the emergency help buttons in the rooms, and if you try to call them after hours they will not answer! They leave and go home! No compassion for people. Doors locked so when they dont answer you cannot get in to your loved one. I would give 0 stars if it let me. Disgusting the way she was treated!! I would like to know what kind of training they had?? I would not treat a dog that way

I have lived at place for 2 years and have experienced quite a lot of changes since I moved in. There has been top head changes and on down the line. The food is not good poor quality and not good cooks. But I think the food has made a step in the right direction ,we do have anew cook and he’s making progress please keep him. The activities director is really good and doing a good job but didn’t help the residents work in their garden and it was not sales project like last year.

My mom has absolutely loved being at Azalea Place. We have seen her thrive and be under less stress than when she was living on her own in a house with all of the responsibilities. The staff has been so welcoming and attentive, and I can't recommend it enough.

The cottage is fine, but the food is terrible. There is high turn over in all of the staff and management. Residence have expressed their displeasure, and it is never addressed by management.

My grandfather has been here for a couple years and he has nothing but positive things to say about his experience in the independent living community! I love that he has such a good sense of community and involvement with other residents. The staff is always so good to him and it makes me feel better that people show they care!

My mother just left Camelia Place after 10 year’s residency. I have no hesitation about giving it a 5-star review. The rooms are nice, housekeeping is thorough, and the food is good. You can’t eat in the dining room now because of Covid but they have a side room if you want to visit at meal time. My advice is to come for lunch on Wednesday because they serve the best fried chicken in the area. The nurses are wonderful. The care assistants are so good. My mother won about a thousand dollars playing bingo and other games but they didn’t let me use it to pay the rent .
