Really quite a special, phenomenally nice place. My mother was there for about a year and was resistant to living in a place like this- and ultimately made a lot of extremely kind, smart friends and enjoyed it a lot. I will say that it seems understaffed in the dining areas and chaotic- but the staff that handles day to day operations is caring, sincere and wonderful. I would recommend art to anyone needing that type of setup for a parent.

We have a wonderful community here at Orchard Cove. The responsive Management and staff work together with residents to make living here comfortable, interesting, and safe. We are well-fed, have a well-equipped gym, a resident-run library a pool, gardens, outside areas to sit, and a outdoor recreation court.We are connected to the outside world with courses, concerts, lectures, trips to museums and restaurants, and resident led programs like Current Events. Because this is a senior community, residents sometimes have issues with health and cognition. The staff is supportive and helpful without being rigid about the ways problems can be solved. We are lucky to live here!

We're here only a few weeks, but every effort has been made to make us feel welcome. All the dinner arrangements are a great help in meeting people, and so many on the hospitality committee reach out to help us make the transition to our new home. We are already feeling that we belong here.

I was in a depressed state before I moved to Orchard Cove. I had spent 20 years caring for my mother, my roommate and my sister until they died in my home. I was alone and nervous about my future. My primary care doctor recommended that I look at CCRC facilities. I started my search immediately with a dear friend in tow. When we walked into Orchard Cove, we knew that we found my new home! I am so grateful to have found OC. I am incredibly happy here.

There are so many things to like at Orchard Cove. In addition to staff, residents, and food which I have mentioned already, I applaud the surroundings, the programming, the artwork, the design and decoration, the laid back we-can-make-it-work attitude. It is such a welcoming place. My husband and I looked at 12 other communities. We saw Orchard Cove and stopped looking.

I have lived at Orchard Cove for nearly a year and have been very happy with my decision to move here. The surroundings are beautiful, my apartment is comfortable, our classes and activities are stimulating with challenging learning opportunities, and above all the friendly atmosphere is genuine and welcoming. I was fortunate to experience life here for six months before the pandemic shutdown began, so I know how full the experience can be, but I am amazed and pleased by the care and planning shown by our staff for our comfort and communication during this necessary period. Equal thought is being shown by the careful and caring progress of opening up that we are experiencing at present.

What a great decision it was eight and one half years ago to move to Orchard Cove Independent living. It has exceeded my expectations in many ways. The grounds are beautiful and set in a location overlooking a pond that is a welcoming vista for outdoor walking or sitting. The indoor facilities, including a fitness center and pool are inviting and help to keep us healthy. The 4 dining venues are attractive and serve well-prepared and delicious food. Afternoon and evening activities are varied and most enjoyable. The staff is competent, friendly and caters to all our needs.

Ive lived here for 5 years and have been very pleased - my third floor apartment on the cove side has large windows which make me feel like Im living in a peaceful tree house in the summer and in a beautiful snow globe in the winter. I am a walker and the grounds are perfect for my daily walks with my dog. The programs here are varied and provide the intellectual stimulation as well as a strong fitness program - both are very important to me. The food is also very good and culinary staff as well as all staff here are very accommodating and friendly. One can have a full, satisfying life here, I find it a wonderful home base as I still have a very active life outside of OC. It is a wonderful place to live, Nancy Connery

I have lived in a comfortable, pleasant one-bedroom apartment with a screened porch in the Independent Living section of Orchard Cove for four+ years. I like that, living here, I can have both as much privacy and as much companionship as I want. I like the largely wooded area on which I can take my daily walks. I like that the community is well-run and well-kept and that residents here are welcoming and friendly.
