After living in Florida for 20 years, my parents made the difficult decision to move back to Sterling as their health began to decline so they could be closer to family. Like any family facing this kind of transition, we were emotional and uncertain, but from the moment we toured Morningside, we felt a sense of comfort and peace. The rooms were bright and beautiful, and the sales director was incredibly kind, patient, and generous with her time as she answered our many questions. We looked at a few other places, but in our hearts we knew Morningside was where my parents belonged, so we waited for a room to become available. It was absolutely the right decision. Moving a loved one is never easy, but Morningside made the experience feel warm, reassuring, and full of care. I cannot say enough about the staff. They have become so much more than caregivers”they feel like extended family. From the receptionist and life enrichment staff to the nurses, aides, kitchen staff, business office, housekeepers and even the residents themselves, everyone has shown such kindness, compassion, and support. Knowing parents are surrounded by people who truly care means more than words can express, and I will always be grateful for the love and comfort Morningside has brought to our family.

My family stopped in over Memorial Day. We always have a nice time on our visits. Such pretty flowers in the courtyard and the recent upgrades are beautiful. Staff are always so friendly and helpful too!

This shows Don's name because I have his phone, but it is Shirley doing review. I moved in July 2024. It was hard to give up our home and all my memories.i lost my husband May 8, 2024 so I had a lot of things happening in my life. First two weeks were hard, I only knew one person. It is important to get out and meet people. Do the activities and crafts. The staff is wonderful and so nice. The young people that are resident asst are so helpful with anything you need done. It is a beautiful place and you can sit in several places and meet new people. We play bingo twice a week and go out to eat once a week. The activity directors are wonderful planning things to do. Your room is cleaned once a week. You can have laundry done all included. Once you get here you won't want to leave. Come take a tour. . .

Thank you so very much for your time on Monday. Morningside left quite an impression on our family, and we truly hope that this is the place for her future when she’s ready for it. The thing that stuck out the most was the beautiful community you all have fostered - the kindness of all of the residents, the attention to detail of the staff - even you knowing everybody and the friendly introductions you made of my mother around the facility. We couldn’t have picked a better, more inclusive, place for her to call home, and will definitely reach out when the time is right.

My mom was in full psychotic delusions a couple weeks ago because her husband of 68 years died a year ago. Morningside took her in when other assisted living place were too scared. It only took one week to get her meds regulated and she is back to her normal self!!! Amazing. I looked at two other assisted living places in the area. They were good but morningside is by far the best place in the area! Fire places, areas that encourage family to come and friendly nurses make this place superior. There is a driver who takes residents to appointments or shopping 3 days a week. This is unique. There is a beautiful courtyard and just the best atmosphere for happiness that I have ever experienced. My mom is awesome and she loves this place. She is 90 and has lived a charmed life with my dad but just got overwhelmed living alone. I tried to be there for her but she needed to be with people her own age. The room is lovely and the nursing staff is top rated. She is no longer isolated and feels happy for the first time in a year. I feel the best thing I ever did for her is to bring her here and help sell her house. Don’t hesitate to bring your love one here!!!! I wish I had done it sooner. So many happy together seniors who love life all live here. I love this place and so does my mom!

After hearing all good things about Morningside I called yesterday to set up an appointment for a tour. We needed a place close by for my mom and Morningside was top on my list. Cheryl was very accommodating on the time we could meet and made everything so easy for us. She knew all the information to share with us which was great because we weren't sure what to ask. I knew right away this was the place. I was so surprised when their pricing was below a few other places my sister had considered. We brought my mom in a little later and she LOVED it. Kept mentioning how CLEAN everything was. She had no hesitation at the idea of moving in. So after one more visit with my sister with the check we filled out all paperwork signed the check and just like that we have a beautiful place for my mom filled with wonderful caring people both residents and workers. Thanks again to Cheryl for putting in such a long day with us without one time making us feel rushed!! We look forward to the future for our mom now that she will be at Morningside!!

We had to move a family member into memory care abruptly, during the pandemic. This normally would be extremely stressful, but the staff at Morningside made the process as easy as possible! Cheryl in particular helped us a lot. She was incredibly efficient with coordination, and she made herself very available in answering each of the million pesky questions we had. The rest of the nurses/staff we interacted with were also very kind and helpful. Our family member is very happy there. She's eating well, she's comfortable, and she loves her nurses/aids. We've had great experiences so far! We're so grateful for all their help, and we definitely recommend the memory care unit at Morningside.

The staff at Morningside were welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way to make my uncle feel comfortable. The facilities are clean and spacious with natural light and a variety of places to utilize (courtyard, lounges, movie room, computers, dining spots). The place has a feeling of community and of home. I would highly recommend Morningside of Sterling!

I want to share... I need to praise... the amazing facility in Sterling, Illinois ... it is called MorningSide! Our wonderful parents have lived a beautiful and blessed life of health and love to the age to nearly 91 and 94 on their birthdays tomorrow and in June. Until this last fall they were independent and traveling to Florida every winter for 40 years and farming the rest of the year. Last fall, a new phase of lifestyle was in order as related health issues became a reality. My brother and I both live out of state...we faced difficult choices in very short amounts of time. We visited as many assisted living facilities as possible in a very short amount of time. Big decisions have to be made in a very quick time frame when something serious happens . We weren’t ready... no one is. But, we felt very confident and relieved to find MorningSide of Sterling the most amazing place to move our parents to for their care and happiness in this phase of their journey. Many bumps in the road from independence to assisted living care... for those moving there and the family making those decisions. From the first phone call and the first visit to meet Lindsey, and the amazing staff for their excellent care from Alice and Rose and so many others in the dining room and housekeeping staff... it has been a very positive experience. The facility is top notch in care, cleanliness, and kindness to not only the residents but the family that is so concerned for their loved ones. Thank you to everyone staffed at MorningSide for your kindness, and dedication to our loved ones.

First I would like to compliment the Morningside Facebook page on keeping us connected with all the activities you have going on at The Hotel (our family calls Morningside "The Hotel", since it is so fancy and my children literally think great grandma lives at a hotel). Seeing videos and pictures of her sweet face makes for an awesome day. Secondly, she always has wonderful things to say about the staff, the food (she is picky and can be hard to please), art projects, fresh air drives, and the MOST important thing BINGO! Thank you all for taking great care of my grandmother, she enjoys her life much more now that she isn't sitting at home by herself. PS, thank you for having reliable internet so Grandma can message me daily and make sure I have not gotten into trouble!

Morningside of Sterling is the best assisted living facility I have seen. My Mom lives there and all of the staff are exceptional in the friendly care they give to the residents. The activities daily keep the residents engaged and on the move helping their physical and mental well being. Plenty of space for families to gather for a special occasion. I highly recommend Morningside for anyone needing assisted living arrangements.

The entire staff at Morningside of Sterling is fabulous. My Mother has been a member of the community for 2-1/2 years. The CNAs, the Dining Room staff, the Activities staff and the Cleaning staff all show care and concern for each resident. Being over 100 miles away, I am comforted to know my Mother is being cared for by this excellent staff.

My mother in law lives at Morningside and loves it. The staff is caring and helpful. The activities are engaging and we love that they have off site activities as well. Her favorite part of her apartment is her patio. I tell her she gave her kids the greatest gift by moving to a home we know she is cared for 24/7.
