My mom has been in Vitalia for a couple years. As said previously, it was billed as excellent food and a homey environment with many activities/clubs to join. It is not the same today. The dining room is frequently unkept. Food under tables, unwashed tables from previous meals being set up. Drink station is a mess. Service is extremely slow. The food has definitely changed, not for the better. Clearly, they are short of staff. Brandon is a real bright spot and is always pleasant and helpful in the dining room. Some staff are on cell phones (some using earbuds) and not helping the residents. Overall, the nursing support has been good and Mom has been treated well in this regard. Most of the activities are on the independent living side, making it difficult for assisted living residents to participate due to distance and mobility concerns. Definitely tme for this organization to review their mission statement and live up to their billing.

My parents have been at Vitalia for several years. When they first arrived they advertised the food as being prepared by a chef and it was very good and hot. The variety was good with less fried and spicy food. The food now has been very sporadic, with a lot of fried, spicy and luke warm at best food. Unfortunately Vitalia has had a high turn over on cooks, Directors and maintenance. With this high turn over the buildings are getting neglected- general maintenance, proper cleaning, light fixtures not getting replaced, gutters overflowing, work orders not getting completed, HVAC systems not being checked annually and I don't think the dining room floor is being scrubbed like in the past, I believe the machine is broken. Vitalia is a beautiful facility, but if the turnover continues, I am afraid it will continually decline.

I visited a family friend at Vitality Rockside recently. I found it be a beautiful place for our seniors. The staff was friendly, kind, and very inviting. The facility has a warm home feel for residents. The dining room staff were attentive to all the patients dietary restrictions plus the dining room was bright and cheerful. I was especially impressed with all the activities that were offered within the community as well as special road trips. The residents, no matter of their, are given so much to keep them mentally and physically active. I highly recommend the Vitality community to everyone.

I'm a classical pianist who's played exclusively for retirement communities for the past 20 years, and Vitalia Rockside is one of the best communities I've played for! I perform for the Independent Living residents, who are cultured and knowledgable yet warm and engaging. The staff are professional and courteous, and the activities director, Leah, is great to work with. I always have a wonderful time when I'm at Vitalia Rockside!

The place is nice, the workers in the independent living facility are very nice. The one big negative I have is that the monthly billing statements are ridiculous. Way too confusing. Whoever does the billing for them should be fired. The bill just needs to say how much they owe. It is so confusing for the residents. I am a caregiver and I can't figure out how to read the statements

Vitalia is one of the few places that allows you to keep pets with you. I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't find a place that would allow my mother to keep her dog in memory care. I truly believe she would have died of a broken heart without him, so Vitalia allows him to be there to comfort her all the time. They also treat him like one of the family. I feel comfortable leaving them in charge of both of their care.

My parents are extremely happy in their new apartment at Vitalia. Tatiana and Katie were so kind and welcoming and they've made us feel like family. The staff is always very pleasant and Tatiana and Katie go above and beyond if any of the residents need anything. So happy to have found a beautiful, clean, safe place for my parents.

My parents were apprehensive about moving anywhere after living in their home for our whole lives. They knew the moment they walked into Vitalia that this was the place they would choose. Still nervous, Tatianna and Katie were so calm and knew how to support them. Eventually there were hugs and happiness. They have been here for 3 months and have made wonderful friends, and they are more engaged and happy than I've seen them in years. Thank you Tatiana and Katie and all the wonderful team, Kim, David, Niecie in particular for always making them welcomed and at home. #vitaliaishome

I was so pleased to be able to find a home for my mother where she could both be taken good care of and also keep her doggie! She is very attached to her dog, so the thought of her losing him was just unthinkable. Not only is Freddie welcome at Vitalia, but everyone there gives him lots of love and affection, and the staff is able to help out with him when my mother is not able to, such as when it's too icy and slippery for her to take him outside. My husband and I sleep much better knowing my mother is at Vitalia.

Newly built clean building with excellent memory care staff. Food is healthy and tasty. Plenty of daily activities for memory care residents. Jessica is a very caring and knowledeble memory care director.

Hi! my name is Debbie Dewey and I have lived at Vitalia Rockside since October 10th 2020. This is my first, and according to my son, the last best place I will ever live. And for a kid (haha he is 43) i think he is right. Never have I encountered such a caring, loving, group of people to be with every day. Even though I cant tell you everyones name, i CAN tell you there is so much love here. It is given freely. this is an over 55 community. But we are not meant to feel like we are helpless. We are included everyday in many ways. Whether it is movies, crafts, exercise,( even a pool, no less! ) The staff, our chef(s) treat us like Kings and Queens. Dont let all my positive thoughts of a wonderful place to live, of the seriousness of todays world. Everyone of us has a link to the outside world. Vitalia helps us to deal with the seriousness that the front line workers deal with everyday. So if you had any thoughts of having a safe wonderful place to live, I would highly recommend this community. In closing, we still will have times to be careful, but we can do this.
